1 AnswerNon-Alcoholic Drinks8 years agoHi, album from 80's not on cd but want on cd?
Hi, there was an album (vinyl) my ex had in the 80's called "welcome to our world" by a band called "The Senators" on Virgin records. I have found out bits of info about these guys and that the above album was released in 1988. I would like to know if there is any way that I can get this album in CD format from Virgin or anywhere else (bearing in mind that I don't have access to the album on vinyl or any other format anymore).
If anyone has the contact info for the right department to contact at Virgin or any other helpful info I would be very grateful, thanks x

4 AnswersOther - Environment8 years agoHi, can anyone recommend a nice perfume please?
Hi, i would like a nice perfume, not too expensive but not a really nasty cheap one either. not many places have tester bottles to try so i am after some recommendations.
not sure if it makes a difference but i am 47 years old, i don't like vanilla or strong musks. i do like light flowery smells and other light perfumes nothing too strong or heavy. my partner loves "poison" but i am not keen on it.
in the past i have used "anais anais", "eden", "heaven sent" (or "heaven scent", can't remember), and "Le Jardin", i loved this last one but am sure they don't make it anymore.
i don't like any chanel no's either.
thanks.
out of interest, i love katie perry's bottle does anyone know if it smells nice or horrid?
9 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style8 years agohow much does it cost to wipe bad credit clear?
hi, does anyone out there know how much it costs to wipe a bad credit score clear?? the house we live in has really bad credit score from the previous owner who owed lots of money to lots of different companies. we were thinking of getting a loan to buy a car but will probably get turned down unless we clear the bad credit rating for our address.

6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoMenopause question for the older ladies on here.?
hi, i was just wondering roughly how long it took you all to fully stop having your periods from the time they started to become irregular?
i am 47 and started going through the menopause a couple of years ago, my periods are irregular, i am always hot and have flushes, i can sometimes have really bad mood swings, my skin is drier than it used to be, my hair isn't in as good a shape as it used to be, along with various other symptoms.
also, what other symptoms did you all have? and what if any medications or herbal remedies have helped you relieve your symptoms?
i can't take HRT because i had chest pains with those tablets, am too old for any of the contraception pills so my doctor has upped my dose of anti-depressant because it eases a lot of the problems i have been having since becoming pre-menopausal, this has helped a lot with the mood swings and i don't have quite so many hot flushes, although i am still always either really hot and sweat a lot in bed, or i am freezing cold even when wrapped up and have a hot water bottle.
thanks ladies for your input xx
2 AnswersWomen's Health8 years agodifference between diesel and petrol.....?
hi, could someone try and explain in simple terms how diesel is different from petrol, not the properties of each, but the difference between performance and exactly what is different in a diesel car/engine to a petrol one?? also, i know that you can't use diesel in a petrol car or use petrol in a diesel car, but why exactly is it bad to do so??
it's just something that popped into my head earlier. thanks
8 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoBlue and cold hands and feet in toddler?
Hi my friends daughter is 15 months old and she regularly has cold blue hands and feet. she has been to the doctors and the hospital but they just keep saying that it is normal and nothing to worry about, but she is very worried as it seems to be happening more and more.
the little girls body is warm and she has no other symptoms at all, she is perfectly healthy and happy otherwise. the house is not cold and there are no draughts etc.
have any other parents out there experienced this and if so, what did your doctor advise or say was the cause??
many thanks.
9 AnswersToddler & Preschooler9 years agoHi, any electricians out there?
Hi, I have a question about fitting an electric shower.
we have been told 2 different things by 2 different electricians, both safe trade registered and various other registrations.
Basically, we have a new 8.5 kw shower to be fitted, our old shower which has packed up was an 8.5 kw shower also but was on 4mm cable, whilst we know this needs to be replaced, we have been told that it needs a 6mm cable by one electrician and that it needs 10 mm cable by another electrician, so we are confused as to which one is right.
the length of the cable to be used is too long, maybe about 12 ft or so, we have loft insulation of about 5inches thick. we were told that we have cavity wall insulation but are unsure as to if this is true or not.
so, any electricians out there could you please advise us as to which would be ok to use, 6mm or 10mm cable, thanks.
7 AnswersOther - Home & Garden9 years agoHi, I would like some imformation on an Acer 5733 laptop:-?
Hi, my dad has just bought an Acer laptop, model number 5733. He is not computer literate at all, doesn't even know how to turn it off once it is on, and as i don't live near enough to him to help him out i would like to know if anyone knows where he can get hold of an extremely easy step by step user guide for his laptop.
I have looked on the internet but haven't found anything useful or helpful.
I have told him to go back to PC World where he bought it from and ask them to give him a brief learners guide, or to enrol in a free basic computer course at his local library, but he is very stubborn and wants to do it himself not have anyone teach him!
Any ideas???
Thanks.
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoHi, has anyone had any experience of having a stroke or knowing anyone who has had a stroke at an early age?
Basically i know someone who is only 20 years old and he has had a stroke. He is in hospital having all kinds of scans and tests to try and find out what caused it and to see if there is any underlying condition that may have caused it to happen at such a young age.
If you have had any experience of a stroke at this age, or know someone who has, what was the long term outcome/prognosis for you or the person you knew? Did they have any lasting issues from the stroke?? Did they have any more strokes later on??
I have looked lots up on the internet but would like some info from people who have had first hand experience if that is possible please.
Many thanks.
1 AnswerMen's Health9 years agoHi, can anyone tell me what the song title is, and who the artist is please?
Hi, can anyone please tell me who the artist was and what the song title was for the song playing at the very end of the last ever episode of "six feet under".
I have recently just finished watching them all again on the tv and love this song, I have looked on the internet but so far haven't found out who it was.
Many thanks.
1 AnswerLyrics9 years agoHi, I have a question regarding a Nokia 710 Lumia mobile phone:-?
Hi I have the Nokia 710 Lumia phone and cannot get it to pair via bluetooth with my partners phone, also i cannot find out how to download pictures or music from my computer to the phone or visa versa. I have used the plug in cable to connect them to each other but nothing happens, it doesn't even show up in "my computer" like my old phone used to, so therefore, I cannot work out how to transfer pics and music etc. Is there a way to do this without using the "zune" program that is recommended? and is there a way to connect my phone to someone else's via bluetooth??
Many many thanks for any answers, it's driving me mad not being able to put my favourite pictures and music onto my new phone!
1 AnswerMobile Phones & Plans9 years agoHi, has anyone in the UK taken part in the I2I (inspire 2 independence) course?
it's a program set up to try and get people who are unemployed back into work, it is a 2 year course and does things like taster sessions in jobs plus interview techniques and cv updating etc.
i am particularly interested if anyone who suffers with depression and anxiety has done this and if it helped at all, and if it was done at a pace that suited you or if your illness/condition was ignored and you were pushed to do things before you felt capable etc.
i have previously asked this but only got 1 answer so i am re-posting hoping to get more answers this time.
1 AnswerOther - Politics & Government9 years agoHas anyone who is unemployed signed up to the I2I course/deal in the UK?
Hi, has anyone who is, or has been, recently unemployed signed up to the I2I (Inspire to Independence) course?? It's in the UK and it is a 2 year thing that aims to help people get back into work and offers work placements and interview techniques etc. i am curious as to what people who have done this think about it and if it was done at your own pace rather than at their pace. i would also like to know what exactly it all entails, i have had a brief outline of what it is about but would like more information first hand from anyone who has taken part.
thank you all.
i suffer with depression and anxiety so will it be done in a way that is understanding of this?
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoHi, are there any birdwatchers/enthusiasts on here tonight?
We live on the north west coast of England and were walking along the promenade the other day and as well as seeing lots of Oyster Catchers and Curlews along with the usual Gulls on the rocks, we also saw 2 black coloured birds with longish orange or red beaks fly past, they were quite slim and longish in the body. We have looked on the RSPB website and in our bird books but cannot find out what they were, so does anyone have any ideas?
many thanks to anyone who has an answer for us.
UPDATE: I found a picture of a pair of American Black Oyster Catchers and they look exactly like the 2 birds we saw flying over the sea here, so does anyone know if they could have been this breed of bird or is it a definite NO to them being all the way over here on the British coast??
thanks guys.
2 AnswersBirds9 years agoA question about radiators (not the car kind)?
hi, recently, one of our radiators is hot, as it should be, but another time it will be cold even though the boiler is on and all other rads are hot, then it will be on and basically sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. i have bled all the radiators and they are ok, and the boiler doesn't need topping up, the level is where it should be.
as plumbers are expensive, does anyone have any ideas or tips for us to try before we call one out?
we have tried adjusting the the temp control on the rad but that doesn't work either.
thanks.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoI have a question about the "one child only" policy of China?
Hi, I know that China has a one child only policy, but what happens if the woman is pregnant with twins or even triplets? does she have to give one/two of them away or would they be allowed to keep both/all three babies??
