- Why can't we all just accept eachother?- It frustrates me to see- every time in this section- atheist and christians going at it over something so foolish. The point of this forum is to ask introspective questions about ourselves and our religion, but it turns into an insult fest between all the religions. As a buddhist, i do not personally believe in god, but I do not feel the need to ridicule those who do. It just strikes me as humorous that the athiests who insult the christians and tell them they should stop believing in god then turn and complain that Christians don't respect their beliefs! That seems just as infuriating as any Jehovah's witness knocking at my door. I can't understand why there has to be such a hatred, and why we can't forgoe our differences and try to better ourselves by accepting what we cannot change. 7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
- syrup for the soul?- I'm trapped - In tingling wires - Electricity running down my spine - Guitar strings wrapped around my wrists - Attaching me to unsung chords - And bliss, oh bliss - Sinks into me like gasoline - The oily iridescence - Seeping into every pore - Filthy masculine manaquins - Melting into asphalt - Like tar on a hot day - Wind around the clarinet keys - And bliss, yes bliss - Wipes away the mystery - Of long forgotten memories - A clean soul of brass - Bright paper lanterns - On crystalline waters - Reflects heaven onto the moon - The microphone shrieks in the distance - And bliss, sweet bliss - Works its way up from my throat - Lovely candy for my ears - Syrup for the soul - This poem belongs to me! - If you steal it, I will find you and come after you. 3 AnswersPoetry1 decade ago
- sugarland-a poem?- I keep having these gumdrop memories - Sticky-sweet, like popsicle juice - Melting my hands into the one perfect entity - Lifting me outside myself - They beat the big bad wolf, you know - Little girls turned into pigs - AK47s strapped to their sides like the softest silk - A maple syrup cure for all the ills - How far will you go to receive it? - Death is faster than you know - What will bring you to the brink? - Then me - The girl on the porch - The smell of flesh in the oven - The blast of bombs in the background - The cookies in my hand - My deceptive sugarland. 3 AnswersPoetry1 decade ago
- bisexuality/asexuality-your opinion please?- first of all, a brief definition. - a bisexual person(me)-attracted to both men and women, not necessarily equally. a bisexual man may be more attracted to a women than a man, but he is still bisexual. - an asexual person-enjoys the company of men and women, but has no attraction to either sex/does not desire sex. - Now, I've heard from people who consider bisexuality to be asexuality in denial. I don't necessarily believe that, but i would like your opinion. I also wouldn't mind an explanation of asexuality from an actual asexual. thankyou 10 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade ago
- what is the problem with homosexuality in society?- first of all, I am bisexual. I love men and I love women. I find that in many religions, homosexuality is forbidden. In Christianity, the bible specifically says that homosexuality is wrong. In islam, homosexuality is taboo. And mainly I find that people do not tend to accept people of different sexual orientation. - I do know that the younger generation is much more open to different sexual preferances than before. Even so, their parents and grandparents are just as prejudiced. - I just want to understand the thought behind the hate crimes and discrimination against homo/bisexuals in our society. It's not like we chose to be gay. It's not like we enjoy the negative attention we get. - What do you think about the role of homosexuals in society today? 12 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade ago
