Should I try this exciting new career?
I recently got made redundant and am thinking of a complete change of career. I've worked for years in a job that I'm not passionate about and have discovered an opportunity to become a private investigator (which has always appealed to me!) I've been looking at a course at www.detective-training.co.uk and think I'm going to go for it! Please look at the above mentioned website and let me know why you think this is a good / bad idea! Many Thanks!

13 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoCan I add a 'Pay Now' button to a Microsoft Live website?
I have set up a website using the Microsoft Live site. It provides you with templates to set up websites (I am not a programmer!) I want to add a 'Pay Now' button. I have copied the code required from the Paypal site, but when I paste it into my website - it justs sits there like text! Now I may be a little naive/thick etc, but I was expecting to be able to copy the code from Paypal, paste it into a page on my website, and hey presto, my button would appear. Is it even possible to put a Paypal link into one of these websites?
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoSetting up remote access...?
I have a small business and to save money I have decided to outsource some of my accounts. I have given instructions of what work needs to be done and how etc to my chosen outsourcing company, and now they tell me they need to be able to log on to our system remotely. I can set them up as a user on my accounts system so that they only have access to the elements that concern them, but I don't know how to give them remote access. Please help!

4 AnswersScanners1 decade agoI've been with my husband for nearly 10 years...?
We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. We have a huge mortgage and the 3 year old has started at a private school. My husband stays at home with the kids and with my salary we just about manage. I've always been happy for him to stay at home with the kids because I don't think I'd trust a childminder with my precious children! However - he's always complaining that the kids have either made a mess with matches or they've decorated a room with the contents of a dirty nappy or they've pulled all the coal out of the fire and covered everything... He doesn't clean up after them - he'd rather throw away the offending items! If he's tired he feeds the baby a jar or two (instead of 3 -4) and then just leaves her with milk. My mother-in-law (who has never liked me that much!) has suggested that I hire a cleaner, but firstly I can't afford it and secondly believe that whoever stays at home with the kids should be looking after the kids and the house. Any suggestions?...
29 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoActiveX Controls?! Please help!?
I'm trying to access my desktop at work, remotely, at home. I've put the address in and then my user name and password, but then it bring me a message saying "This portion of the Remote Web Workplace requires te Microsoft Desktop ActiveX control. Your browsers security settings may be preventing you from downloading ActiveX controls. Adjust these settings and try to connect again"
Would the computer be trying to download an ActiveX control, and I've got a setting switched on/off to block this? How do I allow it through? Please help!!
3 AnswersSecurity1 decade agoIsn't it time we reintroduced the death penalty?
At least for murder and sexual offences against children?! People kill, and if they have a good reason like "they taunted me" or "I forgot my medication..." they get an average of 5 years in prison. If people knew they were risking the death penalty, surely they'd think before killing someone?!
27 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agochildcare business legal?!?
I want to set up a childcare facility for kids aged 3 - 11, just on a Saturday. I have 2 qualified nursery nurses who will work for me, from my own premises. Are there any legal requirements I should be aware of ie the ratio of adults:children? Do I need to inform anyone like ofsted? I've never worked in this field and know very little, so any advice appreciated!
7 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoCan I change networks?!?
I've been with T-Mobile for about five years - on a contract. I have two phones on the contract and my bill is usually a couple of hundred quid a month. After crap customer service, I want to change to any other service provider! T-Mobile say that I'll have to pay over £700 to cancel my contract with them. Surely I must be able to get that reduced?! Will another network provider pay them off for me if I take my custom to them?! Please help!!
2 AnswersMobile Phones & Plans1 decade agoSelling price of a business?
When selling a business that has been established for 3 - 5 years - do you calculate a price based on 3 years net profits - or 3 years gross?... I know people will pay whatever they think its worth - but as a general rule of thumb - is it net or gross?

3 AnswersOther - United Kingdom1 decade agoWhy do Christians eat pork?
In the bible, it says "Of their flesh (of the swine) shall ye not eat, and their carcase ye shall not touch; they are unclean to you" LEVITICUS 11:8 - I've heard some people say "oh no - in the New Testament, Jesus says "it's not what you eat that makes you unclean...."
29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow do I stop my Japanese Akita from killing things?
It killed a cat a few months ago. It tried to kill a little dog when the owner allowed it to wandre onto our land (fortunately the little dog survived - nearly £1000 later) and it has killed and eaten numerous hedgehogs.
