  • Going for refi & I'm told the IRS doesn't have my return transcript in system. (They use Interthinx) True?

As described in the headline, I'm going for a refi and part of the requested documentation is a IRS verified copy of my last three Federal tax returns. I was late submitting my 2010 return and apparently this is holding up the entire process.

It seems the broker uses a system called Interthinx which pulls past returns (transcripts), electronically, direct from the IRS database. I was told that it could take months for my 2010 return to show up on the IRS system.

Can anyone elaborate on this system or Archive that the broker is talking about? Can I call and have the posting of my 2010 expedited?

    Thanks for any assistance.

  • Where does Pier One Imports get their Shopping Baskets?

I'm asking about the hand held Chrome shopping baskets, not the carts. I'd love to have the same ones in my small market. Thanks!

  • Formula question: Excel 2003?

    Hi all:

I have a formula that checks column A for a "Yes" or "No".

If "Yes" I want to leave the value (whole number) in Column B intact (this is where I'm having a problem).

If column A has a "No" I want to blank out the value in column B.

I place the following formula in cell B1 and drag down to apply to all of the B column: =IF(A1="No"," ")

The problem is if column A has a "Yes" it does not retain the value in column B, rather it overwrites it with "False".

How can I prevent this from happening?

    Thanks!

  • Trying to remember name of a group from the 90s.....(Cha-mer-a-quie ????)?

OK, what I remember is one of their music videos where the lead is in a top hat and walking in a room where the floor was moving.

IIRC, the groups name was pronounced Cha-mer-a-quie. I know the spelling is off because I tried Googling every variation I can think of.

Anyone have the groups name and the song/video I'm describing?

    Thanks!

  • Does anyone make a ladder rack that will mount to a small SUV?

I'm thinking of starting a small business and to keep costs down I'd like to utilize one of my existing vehicles to get to jobsites. This will require bringing an extension ladder.

If possible I'd like to find a rack that will mount to a Honda CRV.

Any ideas? Perhaps a gutter mount set-up?

    Thanks!

  • Will Medicare pay for a caretaker? Dad is very ill.?

My dad is very sick and weak. We (his 3 kids) have been alternating with help, meals and whatever care is needed. Luckily my brother lives with him. However, the burden on him is high as he works and dad is at the point of needing near constant attention.

Other than a hospice program will Medicare pay for a professional to help him out? I believe he has some type of supplemental insurance (perhaps through medicare) but I'm not 100% sure.

    Any advice is appreciated.

  • Best online college that takes past college/work experience into account?

I know of a few colleagues that are taking post graduate courses with Phoenix University. Apparently PU has a decent reputation.

My situation is a bit different....25 years in IT with progressive successes to executive level. I have two years at a community college (1980). I was told several years ago that the courses were too old (BAL programming etc) to transfer credits.

So, if I was to restart my education where would you recommend I look? I'd like to get as much "credit" for my IT/business experience and past college courses.

    Thanks!

  • What type of cement do I use to repair the coping on my inground pool?

The cement coping has slightly lifted from the bond beam and as a result a chunk of the beam has erode away. I am addressing the expansion joint issue to prevent further damage. At this popint I'd like to repair the gap between the bottom of the coping and beam.

Since the gap is too large for a epoxy type putty I'd like to utilize a cement of some type. Which is ideal for this application? Hydraulic cement? Premixed or mix myself? Should I use a bonding agent?

Any advice on mix formula, technique or products is appreciated.
