  • Cat keeps getting water from dish everywhere!?

My 11 month old kitten has this interesting habit where she drags the water dish everywhere, and manages to make a giant mess. I've tried all different water dishes, and even if she can't tip them then she usually just spills all over. Recently I got the neater eater cat dish which I thought would solve everything but she managed to not only drag it across the room, but disassemble it as well, causing a flood in the process. Does anyone know how to either get her to stop doing it, or know of a drag proof dish? I can't stand coming home to water all over the floor!!! Thanks

  • USPS money order?

Hi I bought a money order and I know where to write everything but the person I am sending it to is in a facility so on the money order itself for his address do I put the address that's on his license or the address of the place he's staying? He doesn't live there, it's a temporary facility that he's in. I assume I put his home address but I just wanted to make sure, and the post office is closed so I can't call and ask. Thanks!

  • Cats scratching at the bedroom door all night!?

I have four cats, 2 adults and 2 kittens, and a lot of nights they scratch at my bedroom door all night. Now they've got the run of the house, except for the bedroom but I'm hardly getting any sleep because 3 out of 4 of them yell all night and scratch at the door. How can I deter them from this? I read about sprays and things that you put down where you don't want your cats to go, does that work? In my old apartment I tried letting them in the bedroom because I felt bad but then they would race around and jump on me and it was a nightmare. I know they want to be with me but I need to sleep! Any advice, or do I just have to deal with it? Or if anyone knows the number for that "My Cat From Hell" guy please let me know lol

  • Mini vacation with my pup close to New York?

I've been very stressed out lately so I was thinking to unwind I want to take my small dog and go away for the weekend. I live on Long Island so I'd like it to be in New York or only a few hours away. It doesn't even have to be for a whole weekend, it could be for a day but also I don't want to break the bank with our trip. Any suggestions of some pet friendly getaways?

  • A good camera, but not too expensive?

I'm looking to buy a camera. I'm not a professional photographer or anything so it doesn't have to be crazy elaborate or anything but I want them to be decent quality, better than my cell phone (which doesn't take bad pics at all, I just want them to be nicer). I'm going to start traveling a little more and want to take a lot of pictures but I don't know where to start in buying one. Also I can't spend a lot of money so that's where it gets tricky.

  • Dog won't stop licking the air, but only with me!?

My boyfriend and I rescued our dog from a shelter in August, and she's great. She had some problems with anxiety and being scared of other people but she's been so much better now. But she's got this new thing. In January my boyfriend went away for a few weeks to visit his family, so it was just me with her. While he was gone she started to do things like lay across my neck and bottom of my face. She's always been needy, but this was different. Now that he's home she still does this to me, but she's also added licking the air. But only does in when she is sitting in MY lap. No one elses. She won't stop climbing into my lap (which I'm fine with, she's a very needy and affectionate pup) but now she sits there and licks the air non stop. If she's with my boyfriend, or even in my mom's lap she doesn't do it, until she gets to me. I know when he was gone she got a little more attached to me, but what does this licking with me mean? And how can I get it to stop?? Thanks!!

  • Lyme Disease question?

I know i need to be asking a doctor about this, but maybe someone here has experience with this. Long story short: When I was a kid, about 8, I was always very tired and got frequent chest pains. It wasn't until I was 15 that I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, they gave me a round of antibiotics and sent me on my way. I had a general doctor that I used to go to about it and everytime they checked my titer it kept showing up as positive. I'm always tired, joints are achy and a year ago I started getting harder palpitations. I went to my doctor and they kept jerking me around, probably because they didn't know what they were doing. One blood test would say positive, they'd have me wait 2 months and do another and now they said that it's in remission and showing up as a past infection, and so on. I've stopped going to them and I'm currently looking for an infectious disease specialist to go to but I was wondering if it sounds like I didn't get treated soon enough and now I might be stuck with this long term. Will it ever go away?

  • What to get my boss as a present?

With the holidays coming up I'd like to get my boss and his wife a present. My boss is also my mom's childhood friend, and we are friendly with his wife as well so they are more like family friends. They are wealthy so I'm at a loss of what to get them. I was thinking of a food basket but she can only have gluten free and flowers are done to death. They are very good to me so I'd like it to be special but I can't have it be overly expensive, preferably under or close to $50? Any suggestions would be great!!

I was thinking a nice personalized cutting board from Etsy but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go that route yet. Thanks!

  • How to get kitten to stop kneading and licking my neck and face?

About a month ago I found two 4 week old stray kittens outside of my job. I work right on a busy highway, and the mother had been run over, so I took them in. (Don't worry everyone, they were brought to the vet the next day and have since been vaccinated and tested for FeLV and FIV, both negative.) Well from the beginning one of the kittens likes to bury into my neck and knead and lick me. It's not full licking, as I can't feel the sand paper part of the tongue, it's just the tip of her tongue so I'm not sure if she's trying to nurse or not. They kittens are now 8 weeks old (and doing great) and she still does it. While I love the affection, she scratches my neck and face doing it, and if I try to put her down she yells at me and climbs back up to keep doing it. How can I get her to stop, or do I just accept it?? Thanks.

And please no judgement here. I've done the right thing with these kittens every step of the way. They come to work with me during the day and home with me at night, they are getting the proper care and love from me, and have been for almost 5 weeks.

  • Something to help cats in heat besides spaying?

I have two cats, sisters, that are both about 7 years old that I adopted from someone about a year ago. I took them to get blood work to see if they could be spayed, and it came up that they've got low white blood cell counts and low platelet counts. I am going to be doing further testing on them, but I wanted to know if in the mean time there is something natural I can do to help calm them down while they are in heat. One of them only goes into heat for a few days, and then is fine, but the other is in heat almost constantly, maybe 4 days out of the month is she normal. She is yelling constantly and peeing on everything in sight. I am not comfortable getting them the surgery until there is further testing done, but I can't have her acting like this anymore. She's also not eating as much because of it and is getting pretty thin. Is there something natural, or some way that I can help her not go into heat as much, or to calm her when she does that doesn't involve surgery? Also is there a food I can give her to help her gain weight? It worries me that she's so thin. The vet said their physical examination was completely normal, and didn't seem worried about the weight, but I don't like it. If anyone has some ideas I'd really appreciate it, I'm at a loss here and I miss my cats! Please help!
