  • can someone recommend a good beach to go to in Tampa that s not too far from the airport and cheapest way to get there?

I am flying down to Tampa just for the day and want to be able to go to the beach for a few hours and I want to know the easiest and less expensive way to do it and which beach to go to? I don't think I want to rent a car because I would probably have to pay to park at a beach anyways and there's no reason to get my own car.

  • Will I be denied unemployment for quitting a job after 4 weeks?

Here's my situation: I was laid off from my job in May 2013 and have been collecting unemployment since then. My benefit year was supposed to run until April/May 2014. In November 2013 I accepted a new job however after 4 weeks I quit because I absolutely hated it and therefore reopened my claim. I was told that due to me being employed for such a short time at the new place that it shouldn't affect my benefits and I could go back to collecting but the employer has contested the claim and I am awaiting a determination.

If I am denied from that employer for those 4 weeks does that mean I can't go back to collecting off the employer I was laid off from to complete the benefit year?

Also I was told it would take 8 weeks to get a determination. Does it really take that long?

  • If you ask someone to go on a road trip should you expect them to help pay for hotels, gas, etc.?

If the purpose of the road trip is to bring your car from one place to another would it be wrong or right to expect them to pay for the cost of hotels, gas and food... or what about their flight back home? What if they offered to come? The drive is part of the trip so its a vacation and so i'm just curious what people think?

  • Driving across country? Is it scary? What to expect?

I have to drive my car across country from Los Angeles to Boston sometime next week and i'm so nervous. I have done long road trips before but never this long. I am not worried about my car making it so much as dealing with steep mountain roads, traffic, weather conditions and of course the fear of being bored out of my mind. No one I know has taken this trip before so I came here to ask what can I expect? Should I be worried? Tell me your experiences of driving across country....

  • Can you give an idea on estimates on driving my car cross country?

I am going to be driving my car across country from Los Angeles to Boston with a stop in Phoenix along the way. I'm really not looking forward to the drive but I've been researching on having it transported and it costs too much. I can take my time getting there but I want to do it the cheapest way possible. I was hoping to get estimates on what it might cost in gas and tolls and also want to know what might be good cities to check out (I was thinking Oklahoma City). Also will my car be good for the trip. It's a 2007 Toyota Prius with close to 90,000 miles on it. I would like to avoid mountainous areas. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  • Driving up into the Hollywood Hills?

If I wanted to drive from the Valley to Hollywood and West LA is it good or bad to take the canyon roads as opposed to taking the freeways? I have a Toyota prius and I was wondering if driving up the canyon roads with the steep hills and windy roads is bad for your car? Are any roads better or worse than others? Does it put a lot of wear and tear on your car?

  • Can I lease a car while on unemployment?

I am moving from Boston to Los Angeles because I was laid off from my job and I want a fresh start out there to look for a job and make a living. I don't have a car but i'd like to lease one when I get out there. Will I be able to lease a car without a job? I looked into renting but its incredibly expensive and I don't know how long it will take me to get a job. I will be collecting unemployment but will be actively looking for a job. I also have $3500 in savings plus good credit. Advice needed. Help!

  • permanent address on passport application?

I'm applying for a new passport and I put down my work address as my mailing address because I am moving before the end of the month but I am currently in limbo on where i'm moving to so I don't know what my address is going to be in a few weeks. When it asks for permanent address am I supposed to put the one where i currently get my mail even though its going to change in a few weeks? My job is not changing so thats why i'm using my work address as my mailing address which is fine with my employer.

  • Middle names for twins?

    Not expecting, just collecting.......

What do you think of Dylan (boy) and Kylie (girl) or do you prefer Dylan and Kayla?

Suggest middle names that go together but they must NOT begin with the following letters: A, B, C, D, E, J, K, L, M or T. I'd like them to be TRENDY but not outrageous. Let me know what you recommend...Thx
