  • 1990 Honda Fourtrax starting issue?

I have a 1990 Honda Fourtrax. It was my grandfathers and he was persistent about keeping it up to date on everything and in really good condition. We've never had any problems with it and yesterday I took my daughter for a short ride around the house, parked it, took it about 10 minutes later to get the mail at the end of our driveway, parked it, about an hour later I went back out and it just cranked and cranked and wouldn't start... I've checked the plug, I'm getting a spark but when I took the plug out it was covered in fuel. It was obviously flooded so I left it for about an hour without the plug in to dry it up some and it started when I put the plug back in but only for about 5 seconds and then died. I checked the plug again and it was soaked again. It keeps flooding itself and I'm not sure why. I don't know much about small engines like that so if anyone knows what I can check for and where, I'd appreciate it!

  • Losing your mucus plug?

This is my 2nd pregnancy, I'm 41 weeks and I could have sworn I lost my mucus plug about 2 weeks ago because it was (sorry, this is nasty) a big stringy mass of clear/transparent pink-ish mucus with a tiny bit of blood in it. I've been checked multiple times by my doctors because I see them twice a week now, I've even been in the hospital once because I thought I was in labor but wasn't. I've been checked a hundred times and I've had my membranes stripped 3 times now. Here's my question... I just used the ladies room and when I was done, I had the same stringy, clear, bloody mass of mucus but this time it was A LOT! And when I say, "a lot" I mean... it took me 4 times to wipe it all away. If I had it all in one mass, it would've filled my hand. Now what I don't understand is, if my doctor was able to put a finger or two inside my cervix all the way to the baby's head and strip membranes 3 times now, how was there still that much of a mucus plug there (if that is in fact what this was)? I know I can have some spotting because of having my membranes stripped and all too but there was just so much mucus along with it. I also know it wasn't the gel they use to lubricate their fingers when they check you because it was very sticky/stringy and that stuff really isn't the same consistency as what this was. Any suggestions?

  • Possible Labor Induction?

I'm curious as to why my doctor keeps telling me I'm "not induceable". She tells me it's because his head isn't quite down far enough which I can understand BUT this is my 2nd baby. With my first, her head wasn't down there either. Her head never engaged at all, in fact, my doctor had to do an ultrasound to make sure her head was even there because they couldn't feel it when they did an internal exam. They went ahead and induced me 2 days before my due date anyway following a healthy, normal pregnancy. From what I've read and heard, 1st babies are "supposed" to engage 2-4 weeks before delivery and 2nd babies don't drop or engage until a day or sooner before you deliver. She says if he doesn't drop by next week they'll have to do a c-section. I REALLY don't want one!!! I've done everything possible to avoid it. I've had a pretty uneventful and healthy pregnancy, I just don't understand why they would induce 2 days early with my 1st when the head wasn't even there, but not the 2nd where the head is "almost" there... anyone have any ideas? It's not that I'm whiny and "want him out", I just don't want a c-section. I think that's pretty reasonable...

  • Head not engaged yet?

I'm almost 40 weeks pregnant with my second baby and his head hasn't engaged yet. I know this is quite common for 2nd babies so I'm not worried about that BUT I did go into labor at 37weeks for 3 days, his head was RIGHT there, and he decided to float back up and stop my labor. I got to 3cm and 70% effaced but the hospital policy is not to augment/induce labor until 4cm or 39 weeks. I had my doctors appointment yesterday and she said she can't even feel his head anymore when she does an internal exam. She couldn't even strip membranes. She told me that the baby's head needs to be sitting right on my cervix for any effacement or dilation to happen... is this true or can you dilate and efface without a head sitting right there? My first baby never engaged either but I did eventually have her vaginally after being induced.

  • Consistent contractions?

Alright, I'm 38weeks pregnant and I've been having contractions 3 1/2 minutes apart consistently since Sunday afternoon. I literally haven't had ANY sleep for the past 2 nights and I'm not exaggerating, I've been to the hospital 3 times but keep getting sent home because I'm only 3cm dilated and I walked around the mall for 7 hours yesterday which did nothing but kill my back. I'm 100% effaced but just not dilating. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to help this along a little faster? The doctors won't "augment" my labor until I'm at least 4cm and they can't actually "induce" me until I'm 39 weeks. I'm just so frustrated and if I could sleep I think it would help a lot. I've tried taking baths, showers, back rubs, everything to relax me enough to sleep but nothing works. Every time I close my eyes, I have another contraction.

  • Possible amniotic fluid?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and my underwear has been wet all day. I haven't felt any gushes or anything but I just feel wet and when I use the bathroom, my underwear is soaked. It doesn't smell like urine, it doesn't really have a smell, it's just a clear fluid. I'm worried that it might be amniotic fluid. Anyone have any suggestions? My next step is calling my Doc.

  • Pregnancy #2?

Well, I have a daughter and had an absolutely AMAZING pregnancy with her. No morning sickness, no nausea, no pain, nothing! Well I'm pregnant again and WOW, I can barely move a muscle without feeling like I'm going to pass out or throw up. I feel incredibley weak and just can't get comfortable. I can't sit/stand/lie down too long without feeling sick or uncomfortable. I'm hot, then cold, then hot again. Has anyone had these types of symptoms and what did you do to help them??? I am taking prenatal vitamins and I have to take them at night because if I take them at any other time, I just vomit them back up. It's awful! Help!!!

  • Screenshots?

I'm using windows vista and I use my computer for gaming. I've taken quite a few screenshots from the game and they're supposed to go into a specific screenshot folder within the game folder but I can't find them. They show up automatically on my desktop which is running windows XP, but not this computer with Vista. Where should I look??

  • Warts.... yuck?

Ever since my pregnancy a year ago, I've had 2 teeny tiny little warts on the bottom of 2 of my toes. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you treat them? I have little short toes so those pads don't work for me. And the fact that they're on the bottom of the toes doesn't help either. Also, my toes are so short that I can't go barefoot anywhere because they actually split open on the bottom. Any suggestions???

  • Newfoundland Diet?

I know I've already submitted this question, but you wanted to know about my breeder so I added some details at the bottom...

Does anyone know what to feed a Newfoundland. I'm currently feeding IAMS large breed with about 1/4 cup cottage cheese and an egg every two days or so and I've heard many different things i should add that like raw fish??? What kind, how much, and how often????? She has had some skin issues like scabs then some balding and vet thinks her food may be the problem (allergies to her food). I've switched food and used antibiotics and vet shampoo as perscribed. It has helped but not gotten rid of the problem. help!

I have consulted my breeder and she feeds her newfys Purina Pro Plan with egg and they're all beautiful. I tried that but my newfy won't touch it!! She just smooshes the egg around her bowl with her nose, eats the egg, and leaves the rest there. The foods that people are recommending, like Canidae, aren't easily available around here, I live in Maine.

  • Sun Block??

I'm 21 years old and I only used sun block when I was a baby because I never needed it. I never burn! I'm Italian so I get dark quick in the summer. I wanted to start using sun block because I'm a little more concious about skin cancer and wrinkles when I get older. I want to start protecting myself now that I have a daughter and husband. But I'm curious, will you still get a tan with sun block? And what SPF should I use?!?! I live in Maine and I'm in the sun a lot in the summer time.

  • Vicious Dog!!?

My German Shepherd is very ugly towards any other female dogs, spayed or not. We were going to attempt to breed her but we decided that with her temperment, it wouldn't be a good idea and got her spayed. We thought that may help the problem but she's the same. She's a wonderful, loving, obedient dog with the family and other people once she gets to know them, she just doesn't like other dogs. How do I break her of this?? She is also extreamly protective of me as well. Oh FYI: she's going to be 3 in november so she's not really a puppy anymore and I don't dare take her to a training class for the fear that she'll growl and bark visiously at the other dogs and not learn anything. I've tried to socialize her at the pet store but every time I go, she barks at other dogs and people are very afraid of her. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it!!

  • combination hair?

Alright, my hair is greasy on the top after about 12 hours of shampooing and extreamly dry/split on the bottom. I've tried ONLY using conditioner on the ends but it just doesn't help. I don't blow dry or use straighteners/curling irons and I never have. I'm using Nexxus moisturizing shampoo and conditioner right now. Any suggestions?!?!

Oh, it's also gotten worse since I got pregnant!!

  • Crazy baby?

Okay, I went into early labor at 34 1/2 weeks. They gave me a shot of terbutaline to stop the labor since the doctor didn't think the baby's lungs would be developed enough yet and they didn't want to take a chance. Well, before they gave me the shot, my baby was going CRAZY between contractions!! My mother actually asked my doctor if the baby was having a seizure!! My stomach was going every which way and they couldn't get a steady contraction or heartbeat because she was kicking/punching the monitors so hard! Is this normal and/or has this happened to any one else???
