How can God the Son and God the Father be the same Being?
Same Being? Does Jesus talks to himself, ascends to himself, prays to himself, stands next to himself, stands at the right side of himself, sit at the right side of himself, is his own son, is his own father, exalts himself, gives himself authority to act for himself, etc..
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIf there is One God, a Spirit without a body, what happened to Christ’s body of “flesh and bones,” did the flesh see corruption? Luke 24:39?
Acts 2:31
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDo you believe there is one God, a Spirit, without body, parts, or passions?
The Greek philosophers decided that passions make one weak, so God could not have passions, they also felt that God had to be outside of time and space to be God, so He could not have a body or parts. Thus we have the creeds that carry on the Greek thought. But the Word of God in the Bible is clear that God has passions, “God is love”, the strongest passion, 1 John 4:16, the Bible says He gets “angry”, Psalms 7:11, He is a “jealous” God, Exodus 20:5.
The Bible is also clear that the risen Christ has a body, with parts, and if one believes in Christ, they should believe what He says, that He is God and has a resurrected immortal body of “flesh and bones.” Luke 24:39,46-48. And those that believe Christ also know that He is not just a spirit, but that His spirit has united with an immortal body of “flesh and bones” and is “alive for evermore.” Rev 1:18, James 2:26, Acts 2:27,31, Acts 13:34-35,37.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIF God is an unknowable incomprehensible mystery, will we all burn?
The Trinity creeds say that God is unknowable, incomprehensible and a mystery. If this is true how do we interpret 2 Thess 1:8, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:. And how do the creeds disagree with Rom 1:20, For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:. And how can we have a hope of Eternal life if we do not know God? John 17:3, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
7 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years agoWho is the creator of the Heaven and the earth?
In Heb 1:10 God tells us that Jesus is the creator and that He “laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:”. And in the OT Psalms 102:25 it is Jehovah that “laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.”( Jesus has to be Jehovah for the Bible to be true.)
Genesis 2:4; These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, (Jehovah made the earth and the heavens.)
John 1:3,10; All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. (Jesus made all things!)
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIn the Bible, who is the Shephard or good Shephard?
The Bible is clear that Jehovah is Jesus the good Shephard. Psalms 23:1, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. John 10:11,14, I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. Gen 49:24, Ezek 34:11-12, Heb 13:20, Psalms 100:3, Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 1 Peter 2:25, For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls. 1 Kings 12:17.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIs the name of Jesus Christ greater than and above the name Jehovah?
Phili 2:9-10 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position+ and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name,+ so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend—of those in heaven and those on earth and those under the ground+.
Eph 1:20-21 which he exercised toward Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand+ in the heavenly places, 21 far above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is named,+ not only in this system of things* but also in that to come.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhat is the gospel that Paul taught? Gal 1:8?
What gospel did Paul teach? 1 Cor 15:1, 3-4. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Paul did not teach a gospel of three in one or of one substance, one God, a spirit without body or parts.
Paul taught the death and resurrection of Christ. Most creedal Christians teach that there is One God, a spirit without a body, so they teach a different gospel, one that does not believe in the resurrection of Christ, if they did they would believe Him. Luke 24:39, Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Rev 1:18. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
If Jesus is now just a spirit, and has shed his resurrected flesh and bone body, is He not dead? James 2:26, For as the body without the spirit is dead, ...
Gal 1:8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years ago“For Christians when the title “God” is used in the Bible does it refer to one person or three?
Or is the title “God” sometimes used referring to one person and sometimes to all three persons (3 in 1) in the Trinity? And if both, how can one tell which title is being used, singular or plural? When the Scriptures say that “No man hath seen God at any time”, is the title “God” referring only to the Holy Ghost, since many have seen the Father and the Son? Or is it saying that no man hath seen all three persons? In Matt 14:33 or Matt 16:16, is the title “God” refer only to the Father, since if it refers to all the Christ is His own Father? And in John 1:1, is the title “God” first referring to the Father and then the Son or if it always refers to all 3 then is Jesus with himself and is himself?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow can Christians believe in the creedal Trinity and still believe in the resurrection?
The creedal Trinity says that God is a spirit, one Being of one substance. And some creeds even say that God is without body, parts or passions. If God is a spirit only one Being of one substance, how can Jesus have a resurrected body of flesh and bones as he testified to his disciples? Luke 24:39. And if Jesus is a spirit without a resurrected immortal body, how can we have a hope of the resurrection and a body like Christ’s glorious body, if Christ has no body? Philip 3:21, Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body.
And if Christ does have a resurrected immortal body, does that mean He shares it with His Father since the creed says they are of one substance and one Being? Now we know that Christ’s body, if He has one, is a spiritual body of flesh and bones for is no longer mortal and it has no blood since Christ’s immortal body had a wound in the side big enough to put your hand in and still He did not bleed. And we know that if Christ shed His resurrected immortal body when he went to heaven, He must be dead. James 2:26. And if He died again did Christ lie since He said that His is “alive forever more”? Rev. 1:18 And if the body was not worth keeping, why would we want to have an immortal body, we could just remain as spirits as we are after death, why would we want to have eternal life if Christ has no need of it?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDo you believe in "The Westminster Confession of Faith"?
Most Christian Church’s today believe in the "The Westminster Confession of Faith" that states "There is but one only living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions." How can Jesus have a resurrected body if He is part of the one God a spirit with out body or parts?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIf when you are dead you know nothing and you only exist in the mind of God, what is the story of Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 all about?
And where was the rich man, if not in hell? Was God having a dream?
How can someone who claims to believe in the Bible not believe in a place call hell? Why is it mentioned more than 60 times in the Bible if hell does not exist?
