I'm a 22 year old dude and I really need some unbiased advice from people in the military who aren't recruiters trying to lure me into their branch to make their quota. Please read everything and help me out as I really need some help

I currently work a shitty job barely making enough to support myself. And I'm really confused on what I want to do with my life. I took electrical in high school and loved it. I would love to do that as I love to work with my hands and for me just putting together a circuit and seeing it work makes me happy. As you may or may not know to be an electrician you have to start as an apprentice, the only problem is EVERY person I talk to wants a guy with experience and I'm fed up with trying. So I was thinking "hey maybe I should join some branch to get training" but Ever since I was a little kid I would play army men and pretend to shoot guns and kill the bad guys. I've always wanted to be a hero that everyone looked up to. And I feel like personally the only way I would feel like a hero is by being on the ground protecting this country with my own two hands and feet. Which leads to my confusion. People always told me when I was 18 to think about life after you get out because they don't care about you when you get out. I was dumb and 18 and didn't want to hear it. Now its 4 years later and After all these years I'm starting to think i should do a job that gets me one when I get out. But in the back of my mind I can't shake the feeling of wanting to protect my country with my own two hands and feet. But I know even afte a full 20 something year career in the military I'd still only be 40 and need a job when I get out. I know if I went in as a grunt it would be harder to change jobs to electrician but I also know I could love being a grunt I don't know what to do please help

Do I join the military as an electrician or as a grunt . I don't want to be 60 thinking to myself I made a mistake

i want to join the air force as a tacp member the requirements are

• 2-mile run less than 15:54 minutes

• Pull ups (2 min) 6 reps

• Push ups (2 min) 42 reps

• Sit ups (2 min) 53 reps

so my question is should i just work on these exercises above? or should i incorporate weight training as well? if so what should i incorporate?

ps. there will be ALOT of rucking at the school house

i really want to become a TACP but the minimum requirement to even get a chance to become one is 6 pull ups and i cant even do 1. people tell me to practice but how can i practice if i cant even do one

i want to be a tacp in the air force but i like the job i have now and want to do both so, i did some research and found out that nj has a tacp unit but the problem is i live in Massachusetts. so my question is can i join the unit in nj if i live in MA?

where do i start? im 20 almost 21 i have my high school diploma and i'm currently NOT enrolled in school but i want to go to a community college for an associates in fire protection and safety technology and im thinking about possibly transferring to a 4 year school to also get my bachelor of science in fire science administration. is this a good start? should i also take some emt courses maybe become a emt intermediate? or should i just go all out and become a paramedic?

i would like if you guys could list and number the steps i.e #1. take courses #2..... #3..... and so on and so on

i really want to become an electrician i took it in high school but every place i apply to say that i need job experience before they will hire me to become an apprentice, i love to help people it makes me feel good and i want to become an electrician and open my own Business one day and help people out so why not try to kill two birds with one stone....i dont want to get paid i just want to help and in the process learn my dream job

im really confused on what to do with my life...and i need help i think i may want to join the military anything besides the navy and coast guard but im torn on what to do people are telling me to think of a career after i get out and i agree with them and i think i should do that but im just so interested by digging fox holes and just anything and everything to do about infantry or cav scout, maybe its because i want the most respect and have people be proud of me in no matter what i do....which somewhat leads to my next question what branch should i join im intrigued by the marines every thing about them is bad *** and awesome from their uniforms to the way they act to their training but im afraid i wouldn't be able to complete basic training, so i look at the army and that seems to easy.....what should i do i enjoy working with my hands and i definitely don't mind getting dirty and working hard but like i said i know that doesn't translate to a career after i get out(if i want to)

i want to be an electrician really bad but every time i try to be an apprentice somewhere im told i need experience first, and i figured the best way to get experience is join the military and my first choice is the marines then either army or air force but i first need to know if you can be an electrician in the marine reserves ive tried looking on the website but i don't see anything

Would they help me find a job after I graduate? Or would I be better going to another school besides Kaplan I heard its bad there...I'm in two dead in jobs now and want out now and the union isn't taking apps until next year

But I was planning on joining the union and since I can only do it once a year I was thinking about doing it, can I have my cake and eat it too? By joining the union and get schooled for free and work for a nom union worker?

I heard they can but they don't recieve the title b4(what the he'll does that mean).and since they don't receive the b4 title what do they do?do they still use a sniper rifle in combat?I'm confused
