HELLO =) I'm a 36 year old stay at home Mom. I have a 16 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. I have a wonderful soon to be husband. We live in north Florida. We have 5 dogs, An awesome loving red nose pit bull. A chihuahua, the boss and protector of everything and everybody. A german shep/boxer mix, the goofy one. A jack russell/chihuahua mix puppy, haven't quite figured him out yet, he's just crazy. The newest member is our pit mix puppy. And we also have a sun conure parrot. Who knows what will be next.

  • Is it ok for your husband to text women you don't know?

So, my husband sent a text to his coworker/friend who was at a party. This random chick picks up his phone and responds to his text message. She continues to carry on a conversation with him through texting. They have never met each other, she knows of my husband because his friend has talked about him, just work related stuff. She knows he has a wife and daughter. She says she enjoyed talking with him and that he had made her "smile." And asks if it's ok if she puts his number in her phone!!! I flipped when he told me. I think it's disrespectful on her part and asking for trouble on his part. He thinks I'm overreacting. It only takes one argument or one moment of weakness for an innocent friendship to not be so innocent. Neither of us know her or her motives, if any. We are both in our 40's and this could be some 20 year old hottie for all I know. I just think it's wrong. If it was a long time trusted mutual friend I wouldn't have a problem.

So who is right? Should I be cool with it or am I right in feeling it's crossing the line and disrespectful? Thanks ;)

  • Are there any "natural "heartworm preventions that really work?

I live in the south where "skeeters" are bad. I am trying to switch my dogs over to all holistic treatments. I am very weary of them getting heartworms. Any information would be helpful.

  • Has your Sharp Aquos TV color screen cracked?

I would not recommend these TV's to anyone with small children. If hit with the smallest toy it wont hold up. Be extremely careful cleaning around them also. My 2 year old daughter threw a 3 inch plastic ball, it hit the screen NOT cracking the outer screen but busted the color screen underneath. It is not covered by warranty. I checked ebay and there are lots of people trying to sell them for parts because of busted color screens.

  • YEAH!! Has your acct. been suspended.. mine was, and I fought the suspension?

I had already created a new acct. I just checked my email and learned my acct. was reinstated. I emailed them anyway despite what I had heard. That once your suspended you can't get your acct. back, that it is permanent.

So there is hope after all =)

  • Did you hear the great news ? 48 out of 49 of Vicks dogs being placed?

ASPCA-LED TEAM RECOMMENDS 48 OUT OF 49 VICK DOGS CAN BE PLACED

As reported in ASPCA News Alert in late August, the ASPCA was preparing to lead a team of certified applied animal behaviorists in evaluating several dogs taken from Vick’s property during the course of the federal investigation.

The evaluations were conducted between September 4-6, and the team recently provided its recommendation to the United States Department of Agriculture—that 48 of the 49 dogs have potential for some sort of placement. Recommended placement options for the dogs include:

Possible re-homing into appropriate foster homes for further observation and evaluation

    Rehabilitation as law enforcement dogs

Placement in sanctuaries, which will need to meet USDA facility standards

Only one of the 49 dogs was deemed unfit for rehabilitation and recommended for euthanasia, which was ordered on Monday, October 1, by Judge Henry E. Hudson. A federal judge will determine the final disposition of the 48 dogs recommended for potential placement.

The ASPCA is grateful to the USDA and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the opportunity to lead the evaluations, as well as to the behaviorists who contributed their expertise. “We have been honored to assist federal investigators in this groundbreaking case,” says ASPCA President & CEO Ed Sayres, “and greatly appreciate the trust placed in us. More than anything, I am extremely proud of the dedication and collaboration demonstrated by the behaviorists who evaluated the dogs—that almost all of these dogs can expect to live long and happy lives is an incredibly uplifting and inspiring outcome to this case.”

  • Have you thought about what your going to do with your dog/pet when it dies?

Cremation, bury him in your yard in a nice box, some people actually have them stuffed and sit them around the house.

It hurts me tremendously just to think about my dogs dying. But we have to prepare for their death just like we would our own. If your the kind of owner that actually cares about your pet. Especially my chihuahua, he is so human like some times its freaky. When he goes I'll probably need a prescription for Xanax, he definitely has my heart.

  • What happened on YA for you to be blessed with a stalker?

I answered a question of hers and she didn't like the answer. She is quite the head case and is quite aggravating. I have blocked her but she still manages to irritate me. She knows the questions I like to answer and looks for those types of questions to see if I've answered. When she leaves her answer she either answers it to try to discredit my answer and/or just leaves a smart @ss remark about me.

  • 1st Annual Pit Bull Awareness Day??

If you are planning an event in your community or would like to know if there is one already in place for your community, here's the link:

    http://www.blessthebullys.com/id86.html

For educational flyers and childrens coloring sheets for your event, this link is helpful:

    http://www.pbrc.net/flyers.html

This is also some good educational material to use at your event:

    http://www.dogsdeservebetter.com/brochure.html

    http://www.unchainyourdog.org/WaystoHelp.htm#broch...

And for those of you haters that think this is a day to celebrate sweet innocent pit bulls, it's not. It's about educating people on the breed who do not know about them. Also, to teach people who may already own one how important it is not to just throw their pit bull in the back yard and expect them to be good dogs.

  • Do you have heart burn, acid reflux disease or ulcers?

You have got to get some Honey.

I won a huge door prize at my sons school. In the basket was a jar of local honey one of the teachers donated. She had came up to me and said take a big spoonful a day, she said she hasn't been sick in years. You know how many germs get passed around a school. So I thought great I will have to start doing that. I have acid reflux disease really bad. I noticed since I started taking the honey I have not had any heart burn at all and I have ate pizza several times which always burns me up.

So, I just wanted to share this and I found these articles:

  • Do you know someone or have a neighbor that chains their dog?

Here are some educational resources you can cheaply get and leave on their doorstep or mail to them. It is one step closer to fighting irresponsible dog ownership that in a lot of cases ends up in dog bites or maulings because they are not properly socialized. Which also leads to breed bans.

  • Is your city undergoing a breed ban or has one already?

If so what are you doing to stop it? If it has already occurred, fight to get it overturned!

And for you trolls that are simply just haters. Don't think your dog want eventually be on the list. So you might want to help other people fight for theirs.

Here is a BSL press pack that can be printed out and distributed to the politicians that will be voting.

    http://www.understand-a-bull.com/BSL/Research/BSLP...

    BSL IS NOT THE ANSWER

BSL does not address these root causes behind dog attacks. It simply blames a particular breed or breeds without actually solving the real problem of irresponsible ownership and lack of education. BSL is illogical, expensive, and ineffective. Non-breed-specific dangerous dog laws and anti-cruelty laws are more effective, provided those laws are strongly written and firmly enforced. BSL is a wet bandaid!

This is the best article I have found on 10 most dangerous breeds, so true!

  • Has anyone purchased Newmans Own organic dog food ?

I am so disgusted with all these pet food companies claiming to be all natural, no fillers, no byproducts, then you find out their full of crap. After reasearching this product I'm seriously thinking about trying it. I live in a relitively small town. We don't have any pet stores or anything like that, just Walmart. So I would have to drive an hour just to get to a decent store that carries any pet food that's actually a quality product.

    Thanks for your time =)

  • Can you name this prison movie??

The guy was in court and in front of the cameras said he would give a million dollars to anyone who could break him out of prison. All kinds of people were trying to break him out.

My husband hasn't seen the movie and wants to rent it. The movie rental store can't think of the name to look it up so they can check and see if they have it.

    Thanks =)

  • Tattoo idea help???

I have an adorable brown teddy bear on my back around my shoulder blade area that is for my son. It has his name and his birth year.He is very quiet, shy and sweet so that's why I chose a teddy bear. NOW..I have 18 month old daughter, she is the total opposite, very high strung, but still sweet, most of the time =).

Any girly ideas on a tattoo that would represent her. I thought of a girl tazmanian devil looking sweet and innocent, but I couldn't find any pictures to go by.
