  • What to I feed a toad?

I found a toad, about the size of my palm, and brown in color sitting in the road. He was injured and I'm planning on keeping him until he gets better and letting him free before the cold starts coming in. I have no intention of keeping him but I don't know what to feed him. Can I feed him some human foods instead of live bugs?

  • Cockatiel or Guinea Pig?

I have the choice to get either a cockatiel or guinea pigs but which is right for me? I've owned rabbits, hamsters and parakeets. I've also been researching on the two for quite a while now and i still have a few questions:

    1) which are friendlier?

    2) which are smellier?

And I'd love to hear your experiences with birds or guinea pigs c:

  • Where to buy a pet bird?

Where I live there isn't a avian breeder or a animal shelter. Also, my humane society doesn't carry birds. Do you have any ideas where else I am buy them? If I have to resort to pet stores then how much is a cockatiel?

  • Is a 15 gallon big enough for a dwarf hamster?

I have 2 hamsters (a syrian and winter white) in my two iMac fantasy cages I've had since forever. I have an extra 15 gallon tank and I was wondering if I could house a dwarf hamster in it.

  • My dwarf hamster is bald?

My dwarf hamster is completely bald on his thighs and all of his stomach and back legs. He is really old, about 4 years old, and I was wondering if this is normal. He's grooming more frequently but it doesn't seem to bother him. Is this ok?

  • Should I get another hamster?

I absolutely love hamsters and I have had some in the past. Currently I have two guinea pigs and 3 rabbits. I have piles upon piles of toys and cages and what not but they (hamsters) live such short lives. What's your opinion?

  • My dog hates other dogs!?

My Labrador retriever doesn't really like to go inside. I usually have to bribe him to go inside with plenty of treats. I keep him outside a lot but take him inside when it's too hot or cold for him. He usually sleeps on my bed with me and refuses to go anywhere else besides outside. He loves to go on walks with me but recently I've noticed that he is growling and lunging at other dogs and tries to bite them. My neighbors both have dogs too, small lap dogs that they let out every once in a while. He tried once to leap over the fence to get to them, barking as loud as he can. He's perfectly fine with humans and strangers. I try to introduce him with other dogs and when he isn't growling at them, I'll pet and praise him. It worked for a couple of months, but then he went back to his normal pattern. Is he just territorial?

  • What dog is right for me?

I've loved dogs since I was a little kid and now we're finally getting one! Since I have rabbits upstairs and downstairs, as well as cats who absolutely hate dogs, I can't let him inside all the time. He'll be outside and if its too hot or cold we will let him inside the garage with a heater and if its too hot we'll let him inside but we'll lock up the rabbits since they have health problems and should not be shocked.

  • Good treats for bunnies?

What are some good treats for rabbits? I've tried plenty of fruit (trying about once a week, depending on the fruit) and several different vegetables by introducing them to my rabbits slowly and with a little amount at a time. I can't find anything they seem to really like except bok choy and parsley, which I feed on a daily basis. They don't like bananas either, unlike the majority of the rabbits out there.

  • How to make my rabbit cage more fun?

My two rabbits, a Dutch and mini lop, live in an x pen. I wanted to know how to spice it up a bit. I have two cardboard boxes, two litter boxes, a chew toy, , some baby keys, and a water, vegetable, hay, and food dish. Even though I let them out for about 6 hours a day, I feel as if they are getting bored. Any ideas? Thank you c:

  • My rabbit isn't himself?

He won't accept his favorite foods and he just keeps lying down. He seems to be colder than he usually is and he doesn't want to leave his cage. Am I being paranoid or is something wrong with him? Lilac, my mini Rex, keeps nudging me and running to him. I'm assuming he's sick but my vet has closed and we can't take him anywhere because the vets around us only treats dogs and cats.

  • Help, my rabbit is gassy!?

He is colder than usual and has a... well, "harder" stomach and he has been gassy practically all morning. He doesn't seem to want to eat anything, not even his favorite treats and hasn't been going to the bathroom. I've also noticed that he's laying down, but not like usual, where he's about to nap but pressing his stomach down on the floor. I have him out right now for playtime but I don't know if that's a good idea. Any help of what I should do? Ty.

  • My rabbits nail is bleeding? What should I do?

He lives in an x-pen and I used fleece for his bedding. He hasn't had any problem with his nails getting caught but I think he somehow managed to get it caught onto a toy. His nails are trimmed by a vet tor free and she does an amazing job, the nails are never too short. While letting him out, I noticed that he would stop sometimes and lick his foot. I saw blood coming from it and tried to inspect it but he hopped away. I looked around his cage to look for any blood but found none. What should I do?

  • Why does my rabbit kick up his feet when he runs?

After letting my rabbit out from his extremely large cage, he starts to kick up his back feet. Once in a while he flips in the air.. I am not sure if this is a binky or not. Can you please say whether this is good behavior or not? Thank you :)
