  • Stress: hormones, too much going on, or is it another issue?

For the past three or four years, I've been a lot more stressed out. My junior year of high school was definitely when it all started when I had AP classes. Now I'm more worried about college, getting into a certain college career program, and work. I also worry about my relationship with my boyfriend and my family.

The point of my question revolves around how much I cry. I cry A LOT when I reach my breaking point. Sometimes I cry once a week, sometimes it holds off for a couple of weeks. I'm a 19 year old female...is this hormones? Do I have too much going on? Is it an anxiety issue that I need to talk to a doctor about? Should I be on some sort of medication? Is it a combination of hormones, too much going on, and anxiety?

  • I'm in the DEPs program, can I still get out of the Army?

In about June of 2012 I joined the DEPs program. Every year they have some thing where if you're seventeen, which I was at the time, they will hold your job for a year. My recruiter told me if I wanted them to hold whatever job I wanted I had a week or two to go through MEPs and such and get signed in. I did the oath and all that jazz.

Now it's January of 2013. Since June I have continuously felt like I was pressured into my decision--not that I'm blaming anyone for having me sign up. I'm the kind of person that loves to think about big decisions and in this case I feel like I didn't think enough and instead just jumped right in. I understand that the Army has a lot to offer however, a month or so after joining I began wondering if this was really the right path for me. Everyone was surprised I wasn't going straight on to college, myself included.

While the military has a lot to offer...I'm not sure if I have much to offer for the Army. I do not find myself to be very dedicated. My ship date is at the end of June 2013. I find myself to be dreading my upcoming career with the Army rather than looking forward to it like the other Future Soldiers I know are. I'm not much interested in PT and in fact have random thoughts of wondering if breaking a leg or an arm will get me out of this. Obviously those aren't healthy thoughts. This just isn't something I want to do anymore. Like I said before, I feel like I was pressured into making a decision before I was really ready to.

I've done some research and found that it is possible to 'get out of' this situation. I have NOT gone to Basic Training yet, but I do have a ship date. From what I've gathered the military does not 'own' me until I've stepped on the bus to go to Basic Training.

Can you guys give me some answers? Should I just go straight to my recruiters and tell them what's up? Can I still 'get out of' this situation? I'm losing a lot of sleep over this and I don't feel dedicated to the cause like I thought I would be when I first signed up last June.

  • What are the different types of law in the U.S.A.?

I'm thinking of becoming a lawyer and I'm not quite sure what divisions there are. I've heard about White Collar and Blue Collar but I'm not positive. Also it'd be helpful if someone could tell me what are some good colleges to go to and about how long of school and I looking at.

    Thanks!

  • Do you have to be religious to be a godparent?

I'm writing a story and I'm thinking about having my main character live with her/his godfather. It takes place in modern day USA. I've looked up the question but I'm getting mixed answers. I don't really want to tie in religion in my story but can I just have the character's parents pick someone as godfather? Or are there ceremonial procedures they would of have to have gone through?

  • Any teen books and or series out there?

    I've read:

    Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini

Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

The Alchemyst & the sequel to it and stopped reading there. I didn't like it too much.

The Hobbit & The Fellowship of the Ring by Tolkein

House of Night by P.C & Kristin Cast

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Hunger Games, Catching Fire, & Mockingjay by Susanne Collins

The Magician's Nephew, The Boy and His Horse, & The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

Nevermore & Witch's Canyon (two books based on TV show Supernatural)

The Vampire Diaries (the first four) by L.J. Smith

Inkheart, Inkspell, & Inkdawn by Corneilia Funke

Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer

    Blood and Chocolate

    To Kill A Mockingbird

    The Host by Stephanie Meyer

And many, many more. Do you have any suggestions? I like books along the lines of Lord of the Rings and the Inheritance Cycle (for those of you that don't know that's the Eragon books). So basically fantasy, I guess would be a good genre. Trying to stay away from vampires but if you have a good suggestion post it. Werewolves, too.

  • Looking for fantasy/fiction books to read?

    Alright, I've read:

    Eragon, Eldest, & Brisingr

    Harry Potter series

    Percy Jackson & the Olympians

Ranger's Apprentice (well I'm waiting to read the ninth one because I haven't been able to find it anywhere)

    The Hobbit

    The Fellowship of the Ring

    Twilight

    Hunger Games, Catching Fire

Stuff along these lines! I really don't want a Vampire book but if you find it necessary, please list it. My sister wants me to read Vampire Academy books and Mortal Instruments books. I'm more of looking for things like Ranger's Apprentice, Eragon, and Lord of the Rings books. Books that take place when Knights and Kings were around. So please, if you have any ideas feel free to list away!

  • Teen actress: Black hair, bright green eyes?

Okay, so for my other character centered fanfiction I'm making a video. I need an teen actress (that looks about 15ish) with long black hair and bright green eyes. The eyes are optional, though. If you have any ideas please post! I'm okay with the actress having brown hair, too.

  • Help, Career Choice Issues!?

I'm trying to decide what I want to do as my career. I hate math, and I'm not great at it. I begin screwing up at the higher Algebra 1 level. I love animals, but I'm not sure about the veterinarian idea. I love history and English class, I'm good at both. I thought about the medical area, but some things they talk about make me a bit queasy :D Plus, I couldn't live with myself if I'd messed up and caused someone to die. I'm into the investigative kind of stuff. Detectives, investigations, evidence stuff. I'd be okay with going into the military, but I hate swimming and I'm scared of heights so that really just leaves the Army. I have no artistic ability, technological stuff doesn't interest me. I love to read books (fiction only). If you have any career suggestions, please help me it'll be greatly appreciated. :D
