How else do you defeat an insurgency, train replacement troops, fix a nation's infrastructure, and even improve its agriculture in 18 months?

I mean, Woods shot even par while Ernie Els shot nine under and Mickelson shot 3 under, and we're supposed to believe that Woods is the greatest golfer to ever pick up a stick? This is third time in his last four tries that Woods played in the final group without winning. I can't picture Nicklaus, Jones, or Hogan performing that poorly. Remember, if Woods really is the greatest of all time, then he is supposed to be better than those great champions.

I mean, he blows a four-shot lead, makes two bogeys in the last three holes, and ends up three over par for the final round. That's the greatest player of all time?

In 1977, Watson finished 12 under par and Nicklaus finished 11 under par on the same course where Tiger was five over par after just two rounds this year. Watson at age 59 crushed Tiger this year. If Tiger truly was the greatest of all time, how could this happen?

Except, of course, at 18 today.

Now he's whining about the mainstream media's attention to "dirt and lies" and freaking out about a rumor of a tape regarding something his wife said (I won't repeat it since it's a rumor). What does he think? It's okay to mock and excoriate Republicans, but not him? Does he think he is above criticism?

Last night he said, "We will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless." So we never provided care for the sick before? We never provided jobs to jobless? Obama seems to think history began with the advent of his political career. Isn't that the hallmark of a narcissist?

There he was, claiming the nomination of his party, but he had to pause for a moment to whine about John McCain not giving him enough credit for his vast experience in the Illinois legislature and his partial term in the Senate. Does he remind anyone else of Richard Nixon in his taking offense at every single remark, whether it is directed at him or not?

On January 30, 2007, Barack Obama offered a plan to "end the civil war in Iraq." Was there a civil war then? What happened to it? Could Obama possibly have been more wrong when he called for "all combat brigades [to] redeploy from Iraq by March 31, 2008, a date consistent with the expectation of the Iraq Study Group"?

We just came out of one of the coldest winters in decades, worldwide, and this spring seems unseasonably cold, too. I'm not sure how the planet can cool if the factors that cause global warming are not abating. Doesn't that stretch the meaning of causality?

President Clinton apologized on behalf of the United States to Native Americans for the nation's actions against them in the past, to the people of Uganda for America's involvement in the slave trade, to Japanese Americans for their internment during World War II, to indigenous Hawaiians for the U.S. overthrow of their sovereign nation, to the victims of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment and their families, to Guatemala for United States support of right-wing governments that killed rebels, and to Iran for the behavior of the entire Western world toward that nation for the last 150 years. Will Obama issue more official apologies? Will he apologize to Afghanistan and Iraq for American invasions of their countries, to Vietnam for the invasion of theirs, to Japan for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to Cuba for the blockade, to the Palestinians for supporting Israel? Will Obama be the "apology president"?

In his book, "Climate Confusion: How Global Warming Hysteria Leads to Bad Science, Pandering Politicians and Misguided Policies that Hurt the Poor," climatologist Roy Spencer, states that we do not have enough observations from the past forty years to say if global warming is caused by human activity or by natural causes. He points out that a 1% increase in cloud cover, caused by changes in ocean currents, would account for all of the warming that has been observed.
