I'm getting a new puppy in a few weeks and am trying to pick a name for him...any suggestions are welcome, but we really like the idea of a human name lol kinda weird I know , but here are some we like: Thomas, Ross, Charlie...hopefully that gives you an idea of the "vibe" we're going for.

i bought a new lipstain...i've never tried one before but thought i might like it because i typically don't wear any lipstick because it wipes off so easily. the problem i'm having is how do i get it off?! i was going to try it last night and (luckily) put a small mark on my hand first to see how easily it would come off. not only did it not come off with soap and water, but it wouldn't even come off with my makeup remover! this is the makeup remover that i use to get off my waterproof mascara...

does anybody have any advice for how to get lipstain off at the end of the night? i'm scared to even try mine because if i hate it, i have no way to get it off!

i'm trying to think of a female singer that had a couple songs out in the early 2000's...kind of like michelle branch or stacy orrico if i remember right. she sang some songs about love...i remember putting the lyrics in my AIM profile when i broke up with my high school boyfriend lol can anybody remember this singer or the songs? that's really all i remember about her and i can't think of the lyrics to the songs...

for a few weeks now my dog has been super sensitive to petting and brushing...when i even lightly pet him anywhere below his neck his back legs "go" like when i scratch him in certain spots (i'm not sure what you'd call that...but i think dog owners will know what i mean). also, his legs have been doing what seems like spasms or something when he's just standing, sitting, or laying not doing anything. this seems to have gotten worse over the last few weeks. also, he has been itching (by scratching with his legs or licking/biting), but i'm not sure whether this would be related or not. to be honest, the main reason i've noticed so much is because we have hard wood floors and it seems like he's constantly thumping because he's itching or his legs are just randomly spasming causing his nails to click on the wood floors. as far as the itching...he's had his monthly revolution medicine to prevent fleas, hearworm, etc.

oh and he's a 13 year old mini schnauzer.

we'll probably be calling the vet soon since this has been going on for a while now, but any suggestions as to what could be going on would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm on Synthroid for my hypothyroidism and as ridiculous as I know it is, I have the hardest time taking my pill everyday. I have to take it 2-3 hours after eating or 45 minutes before eating...my days are so busy it seems like whenever I remember to take my pill I'm on some kind of break and am also just about to eat or have just eaten. I was wondering if anybody knows of any method of taking synthetic thyroid hormones besides taking a daily pill? The idea came from a talk with my sister about how they have so many different methods of birth control now (patch, implant, ring, etc.) they should make all medications available in various forms for those of us who are bad at taking a pill everyday.

I'm seeing my thyroid doctor this friday so I'm planning on discussing this with him, but I figured having any information I can before I go is a good idea, and I haven't been able to find any info through doing a search on yahoo.

has anyone ever heard of someone using the term "sunday attire" on a wedding invitation? is this a southern thing or something? lol i've only ever seen casual, black tie, black tie optional, etc.

and what exactly does this mean? i'm assuming it means nice clothing and maybe more day than evening clothing? would a not too casual, not too dressy dress work for a girl?

i'd like to take a vacation with my boyfriend this spring or summer but our main concern is that we don't have much money to spend. i'm a grad student and my boyfriend is working but, like many recent college grads, has had trouble finding a well paying job. we live in ohio so another biggie for us is that we want to go somewhere warm! preferably somewhere with a beach. i'd really just love to go away for 4 or 5 days and be able to relax and have some fun. if possible we'd prefer somewhere that caters more to adults, but i realize that some places like that cost more. basically we just don't want to be surrounded by little kids running around everywhere. we're both 24 if that helps at all.

also, any suggestions for good websites for finding cheap flights and hotel rooms would be very helpful!

I'm in a late night grad course and my classmates and i have decided to take turns bringing in something to eat each week since we're in class from 7-10pm. one person brought pizza and another brought buffalo chicken dip and tortilla chips...i can't seem to come up with a good idea for something to bring in next week. i want something that most people would like and something that isn't too messy as we'll be eating during class. any ideas would be great! thanks!!!

starting yesterday it hurts in my chest when i cough...and i almost constantly feel the need to cough or clear my throat, which both hurt. i'm mostly concerned because this is not my normal pattern of getting sick with a cold. normally it starts in my nose. i do have some allergies and have the same sneezing, stuffy nose i've had nearly all summer. i've also had some bad sinus drainage from my allergies through out the summer but this doesn't feel the same.

i'm also really tired and feel kind of out of it...and i have a headache. that could be related or not though.

any advice on what this could be and whether i should see a doctor would be great. thanks!

the only type of soybeans i've ever eaten or even seen are roasted and salted...do you still get the nutritional value of the soybean when you eat them this way? (protein and omega 3 fat i believe)

i could use some help from people who have been in relationships or married for a long time...

i've been dating my boyfriend for about a year and love him very much. i've known since we first started dating that he's a republican and i'm a democrat and very liberal. we more or less decided that arguing about political stuff was pointless and we could agree to disagree. well yesterday i found out for the first time that he thinks being gay is a choice (and has some very...interesting...ideas about how people end up gay. including that they want attention and to be different). gay rights is something i'm extremely passionate about and it never even occurred to me that he could feel that way. disagreeing on some political issues doesn't bother me but to me this issue isn't about politics it's about morals and values and how you view the world. we've only been dating for a year but i can't help but think about how his views would come into play if we ended up together and having kids. what if we had a gay child? or even if not, i would NEVER teach my children anything but complete acceptance of all people.

we pretty much ended up arguing back and forth and it ended with me in tears and him walking out. after we both cooled down the last thing i wanted to do was bring it back up. but i feel like it's something i need to talk to him about and explain why i care so much. i don't want to freak him out with talk about kids but at the same time if we don't talk about it now it's not like it's just gonna go away.

any advice is very much appreciated!

i'm not sure i can be with someone long term who feels that way but at the same time i can't imagine not being with him. is there any way to accept his views when i feel so strongly about this issue? it doesn't seem like he'll be changing his views anytime soon. should i talk to him and tell him how i feel?

i had my yearly exam last week and my doctor's office just called yesterday and said my pap showed up with some abnormal cells so i need to have a colposcopy and they may have to biopsy if they see abnormal cells. i'm trying not to freak out but they don't exactly tell you much about what it all means (ie. what are the chances it's something serious verses it turning out to be nothing). worst of all they can't fit me in for almost a month so now i have weeks to sit and worry.

can anyone tell me their experiences with needing to have this done? positive and negative please! i'm a little worried about the actual procedure but more so about what will happen after with the results and such. i don't want to spend a month thinking i have cancer if that's a complete exaggeration of the situation :-/

ok so i know absolutely nothing about video games so please excuse that...my question is, when madden 09 comes out next week is it at all possible to go to a store and buy it or is it one of those things that people line up all night to get and pre-order??

my boyfriend mentioned being really excited about it coming out and i thought if there's any way i could get a copy the day it comes out it would be nice to buy it for him :-) but i have no idea if that's at all feasible...thanks for your help!!

i had to take 4 semesters of spanish in college and while i started out dreading it, i actually began to enjoy it by the 3rd semester. my 4th semester teacher really encouraged me to continue my studies and even consider adding on a spanish minor to my degree. however, being in a hurry to get my degree as many college students are, i decided i didn't have time. so here i am graduated and over a year out of practice and really regretting not keeping up with my spanish. i'm really interested in traveling to buenos aires or somewhere as well and i feel like i've already lost a lot so i'd like to get some books or cd roms for my computer to help me practice pretty regularly. does anybody know of any good ones? any suggestions are welcome! and if you could tell me why you did/didn't like certain ones that would be great as well!! thanks!

ok so i hate when people post questions b!tching about other users BUT here i go haha

does it make anyone else mad when you spend a decent amount of time trying to put together a good answer for someone only to find out that they deleted the question?? this just happened to me...and it was a good answer too!! some of us actually spend some time trying to be helpful and share our experiences/advice and then it's just gone! :-(
