good/cheap vacation for a young couple?

i'd like to take a vacation with my boyfriend this spring or summer but our main concern is that we don't have much money to spend. i'm a grad student and my boyfriend is working but, like many recent college grads, has had trouble finding a well paying job. we live in ohio so another biggie for us is that we want to go somewhere warm! preferably somewhere with a beach. i'd really just love to go away for 4 or 5 days and be able to relax and have some fun. if possible we'd prefer somewhere that caters more to adults, but i realize that some places like that cost more. basically we just don't want to be surrounded by little kids running around everywhere. we're both 24 if that helps at all.

also, any suggestions for good websites for finding cheap flights and hotel rooms would be very helpful!

thanks for any suggestions!!

    Hi Amy!

I think the two of you would really have a fun time in Colonial Beach, Virginia. From Ohio, it's about an 8-hour drive or you could fly into Richmond and drive about an hour from there. You'll find romantic B&B's to stay in and there's good nightlife and all sorts of different restaurants to choose from.

For good flight packages, try Hotwire or Priceline

I would say if you come to europe stay in hostles they are so cheap and they have kitchens so you can buy really cheap food from stores and make home cooked meals or microwave food. We just got back from Ireland over christmas and it was crazy to see these people cooking like 4 satr meals it smelled so good I had to leave lol. But I would say fly to somewhere maybe say berlin germany but a train pass for a certain amount of countrys and stay in hostles. I would reccomend Berlin Germany Paris france Maybe if you have the money def londen good luck. and dreams do come try all of my travel dreams did when I pushed to get them

You may want to look into all inclusive vacations in like Mexico. (Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas) You can get a 5 night vacation with all your alcohol, food, flight & room included for like $599 per person which is a really good deal. Check out www.bookit.com, and www.cheapcaribbean.com they have some good deals! Good luck!

Source(s): Many vacations with my boyfriend were both in our early twenties also.

I would probably recommend a road trip to somewhere fairly close by, if you are familiar with any places you would love to see and relax!

If you want to go a distance, maybe hop on a plane to southern california, it's warm and beautiful, and not so expensive to go.

Check out cheaprooms.com to find the best travel deals.

A nice beach vacation in Hawaii or even the Carribbean would be fun. An all inclusive would save you money. "18K Travel" http://www.18ktravel.com/
