How to export a Flash file with content that resides off the canvas invisible?
Hi, I am trying to export my flash file, however there are some animations that I set up to roll in from off the canvas, such as a photo scrolling, or an object flying across the screen. When I preview it in flash, it works great, and only shows the banner. However, when I preview it on the browser, the background, or content that it outside the canvas, is all visible. Is there a way to get rid of that, to only show a the desired canvas in an html file?
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoCSS Image Gallery: Unwanted gab between images?
I am having trouble with my CSS image gallery. Would anyone be able to look at my code?
http://kotographics.com/koto-redesign/portfolio.ht...
As you can see, there are gaps between some of the images. I have checked the code over and over again, and there are no unnecessary spaces in my html code. The images are supposed to align continuously.
My eyes have been looking at this for days now with no solution! Help, anyone? Thanks in advance!
3 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoFoods/ingredients to keep in stock in the kitchen?
It seems my fiancé and I always run out of food at home! We go shopping twice a month to the grocery, but buy more convenient meals to suit our busy work schedules. When I see other kitchens at our friend's houses, they are always so well stocked and they can whip a good meal up without going to the store.
What are some key ingredients or foods I can keep in the kitchen so we will be more stocked?
Thanks in advance!
6 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoButton - Click here to stop sound on website?
My client would like music on his website when the page loads. However, so viewers won't get startled by the music and click off the page, I would like to put a button in the lower right corner that says "click here to stop sound."
Here is what I have now with just the dreamweaver behavior - http://www.elpatrongeorgetown.com./ Notice there is a tiny pause button on the bottom. Is there a better way?
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoPlaced table within div ~ will not show unordered list?
I placed a table within a div tag for further formatting on a site I am designing. I created an unordered list within that table, but it will not show up. Is this because it is within a table within a div? If so, what else can I do in the stylesheet to make it show?
2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoPhoto gallery on website: how to achieve this look?
I am working on a website for a local photographer, and here is what I have so far: http://wwwcolegreerphoto.com./ I would like to design something a little more creative and organized for the gallery, as there are many more photos and I don't want viewers scroll so much. :)
I have liked websites I have seen with the scroll bar with the images on one side and when the user clicks the image, in enlarges in the other column.
Any creative ideas or online tutorials? Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoQuestion about a credit card?
I have the mytribute card. I have had the card for three years, and it was the biggest mistake I could have ever made to sign up for it. Yes, I am aware last year their management decided to close every person's account, whether in good standing or not. Doing that does take a major hit on credit.
So I don't know what to do right now. Obviously, the best thing to do would be to pay off my remainder balance, but it is 1600 and I cannot afford to pay that all so quickly. Even though they closed all the accounts, they still charge crazy interest rates and periodic finance charges. I researched them and discovered they are being investigated by the FCC and BBB right now.
This is so stressful and frustrating, does anyone with similar experiences have some advice?

I purchased blank invitations for a bridal shower, and upon arriving home, realized there was not a website listed to download the word template to print the invitations.
The invitations are 7.5" x 4."

1 AnswerAllergies1 decade agoHow to style a growing out bob?
I got my hair cut into a short bob last september. It was cute in that cut, shorter in the back and longer in the front. The front is a few inches past my shoulder's now and the back is just above my shoulders. My bangs have grown out to almost my ear. I'm in the process of growing my hair long.
I hesitate to cut my hair all the same length because it'll get that boring look, but I would like to cut my bangs normal length again. I don't want to go to the stylist and accidently have my hair cut short again, but what are some suggestions on cutting or styling to get an updated look?

2 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoHow to make email campaigns?
A friend of mine created a flier in photoshop and we are trying to figure out how to create an email campaign out of it. The flier has two links ~ I made it into an html file, moved it to dreamweaver, then used an image map to create the two spots on it that are links. We also created two forms the links lead to, and uploaded them via ftp onto the current company website.
I have researched many different ways but have had no success in just inserting this html into a body of an email to be sent out to people. When I finally got somewhere with Mozilla Thunderbird, the graphic did not show up.
any help would be appreciated!!! :)

2 AnswersOther - Advertising & Marketing1 decade agoHow to send a graphic with links in an email?
I'm currently working on a project that requires an email graphic to be sent out with links to forms. It is a flyer that has a place for people to click to sign up to go to a luncheon or register to be a member.
I started out by creating an html file with links to forms I created in dreamweaver and setting up the submit button to be mailed to the company's email. I put the files via ftp on the site, but there are no direct links to get there, just to get it online.
What steps can I take to make that email flyer with links to the forms?
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoJob in my trade ~ but with a pay cut?
I obtained my degree in graphic design, and while I have been studying, I have been working as a store manager. I have worked in sales management for 6 years and have built myself a good reputation in the field. However working my trade in graphic design is something I truly want to be doing. I have a good portfolio and have been applying for jobs and going to ad agencies looking to get my foot in the door.
There is one company I have been to two interviews with already. The position is to be a graphic designer in the marketing department. The job sounds like something I was exactly looking for, utilizing my skills in the creative suite and Dreamweaver, and the people I was introduced to are just great.
Problem is, I asked for 30k, which is what I am making now, as a starting salary for the job. I have been collaborating with the recruiting manager, and she admitted to really liking me, yay. :) That is what I need to make my financial ends meet, as I have to pay rent, car, insurance, cell, electric, etc… That is also what I found the starting salary for graphic designers in an entry-level job. The recruiting manager called me back and asked if I would be comfortable not making the 30k, but only 12 dollars an hour.
That is a job I would really want and love to do. I could already see it as a place I would enjoy going to work everyday. I later calculated my bills and would not really be comfortable with it. It would cover the important bills, but not leave me anything for gas and food.
Should I take the job?
Should I try to negotiate the salary?
Should I keep the sales job and keep looking?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
