I'm out of ideas on what to try.

I've been trying out metal for now. Not death metal. Slipknot is my favorite. I'd really love bands similar to Slipknot. Stone sour is keul. I also like hard alt rock, American style like Hinder but not much like Nickleback. Also, maybe punk rock like Greenday, hard as A7X... Maybe something like Shinedown. I also like industrial rock/metal, like NIN and MM. BTW, my all time favorite is Linkin Park.

Any ideas? What should I try? Any advices? Thanks!

Hello there people. I am 16, 120 pounds/ 56 kg, and normal height. I am facing a serious wave of depression and I don't have any reasons for it. I really need some help so please, you need to understand me and read the whole thing, please.

These waves of negativity and depression started at about 12. They come and go, but this time is the worst. It's not going away and it is lasting longer and it's severe.

I am a very talkative guy, but since past 1-2 years, I don't feel like talking to anyone anymore, except my very close friends. Everything I love and like to do is fading away. I am a science guy with good grades; I try to dip into my hobbies but it is just not working. I just literally lay down all day long on my bed. I tried engaging in social activities like talking with my friends and working out, but it's not really helping. I have terrible headaches coming and going. I can't even bloody eat and it's been about 3 days since my last decent meal. I tried spending my time on YouTube watching comedy, but as soon as the video ends I feel like crap. I became very socially awkward. I feel like the worst, crappiest person in the world. I am a free guy; I love to live freely and so I have never had a relationship and hasn't planned to do so. I don't have any tragic incidents either. I have never planned on suicide and never will. I don't know, I just wanna cry out like a little pussy.

What is going on? What's wrong with me? Please, you gotta do something!

Seriously though, what is wrong with my generation? I feel very ashamed. Yes, those are the typical FB statuses of the kids at my school; 12-13 y/o kids. I am 16 and my friends are no different- but at least smaller at a certain degree. They have no respect for the elders, not a slightest bit. Most of them are druggie douches who know nothing better than to swear at the elders, complain about absurd things, sags their pants, talk crap about killing each other, and listen to music which contains nothing more than words to sexual references, with typical words being: "n!gg@, f@g, ***, pussy, weed", and so on. Seeing these behaviors everyday is hard for me to stay. I feel uncomfortable; call me the oddball but I can't help it. My best friend is alright, but he has the typical traces too. The worse thing is that I am from Myanmar; a country with people who used to love the culture. Respect the elders. Now it's all gone.

What is your opinion? What the bloody hell is up with my generation? What is the influence behind this? Is it a genetic disorder? What is this mess?

Okay, someone needs to tell me that it is not my heart. I am panicking. I am 16 and I don t really wanna feel death...

Here s the thing. This happens like 2/3 times a day, a day in a week or two weeks. In the other way, 2-3 times in two weeks.

The place is on my left chest. 3-5 centimeters above my elbow, and it is about one-forth from the left of my chest. Not the center, not too much above.

This has been happening for months. Happens when I breathe in- you can only get halfway. Take in more and you can feel the sharp pain. When you breathe slowly and steadily, it is alright. It takes like 30 seconds for it to pass. Then, no matter how hard you breathe, no matter how frequent it is, you will never feel pain for at least five days. However, today, I had balls and decided to breathe in fully. It was really painful, and at the same time, I felt a "line" slip through the chest bones. I know, this sounds real stupid, but I literally felt a line/rod slip and the pain was suddenly over.

I have never had any diseases, accidents, disorder or anything. A normal dude, normal weight. My pressure is stable and the heart rate is about 90-110 at times.

Another thing I noticed, is that it only happens when I sit. Or is it coincidence, due to me sitting mostly on my computer?

I don t think doctors are a good idea, because medical care here in Myanmar is ranked as the second worst in the world. Most patients die from minor things, worsened by the doctors.

P.S I still want to live.

Hello there, high school student here; very pissed about the "marching band" analogy.

Please, no lies, nor no analogies. I've already had enough of them from school.

The marching band thing just collapses into pieces if there is only one photon. How would the teachers explain that? I am very sick of the lies; I just can't understand why teachers won't tell the truth, but rather shove a big pile of false analogies into my ears. I just don't get it; why the lies, but not the truth!? False information is just unacceptable!

I can't spend my time on Wikipedia- it is a great site, I love that site for helping with all my projects and research, but the downside is that if I wanna learn topic A, I will also have to search out for topic B, C and a couple more to understand it... As far as I've read, it has something to do with the wavelength/freq of a photon.

Can someone here please explain it to me in depth, maybe with some help of a diagram and some links to read (so that I could show my buddies)? And please, no analogies.

I am really curious to see what you will see if you were a speeding bullet travelling at supersonic speeds. I know, strapping a camera to an F-22 going Mach-2 is pretty much the same thing, but this is different.

It sounds pretty easy- grab a shotgun shell, take out the loads, shove a soft wadding that will provide an aerodynamic shape and has enough inertia to prevent tumbling, shove the camera in the shell, load it and boom- shoot it at a soft target like hay, sponge, or even water at a distance. It would be pretty cool.

Before you say that it is impossible, there are many cameras out there that are tinier than your nails. Of cause, the FPS of the camera (frames ps not feet ps) would be just about 24-30, so the video might be VERY blur (at supersonic speeds). The main problems may be that: 1. There isn't enough FPS to capture a clear video with such a small camera, nor has enough space in a shotgun shell to shove a phantom camera in, 2. The camera can disintegrate by crushing itself, 3. You will need a lot of space and a super delicate target to shoot at.

Sounds like a total balderdash, but hey, has anyone even tried it? Sounds pretty cool.

(P.S Sorry for if I made mistakes in my sentences- not a native speaker. Plus, I don't even own guns nor shot one- I just read and watch a lot of vids online, so please do understand if I typed in stupid things.)

I bought a new external HDD, and it won't allow me to copy any large files or it will disconnect and re-connect automatically. It is a 3.0 Fujitsu. After some research, I found out something called 'UASP' and 'BOT' types, and my HDD is the 'UASP' type and won't be supported by my PC. It will only work in 2.0 mode.

Frustrated, I messed around and guess what? I accidentally uninstalled the Intel USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller... Now it is worse. My other 'BOT' 3.0 HDD will not copy @ 3.0 speeds anymore. I have no idea how to install the driver back. Tried system restore to the earliest point. No luck. Did intensive research for 5 straight hours. No luck. Please, you gotta help me.

1. I am wayyy desperate and broken right now- tell me something about 'power settings' 'batteriez' 'blah amps blah' and I swear I will nuke the whole universe. I have a 700 Watts PSU, and the 3.0 cable I am using has two ends (one extra for aux. power). I am 500% sure that it is not power issues.

First off, I am not a native speaker- I am a random Asian kid from SEA. I have too many problems with English in these two areas.

1) The correct usage of the simple past, present perfect, past perfect, present perfect continuous, present continuous and et Cetra.

You see, grammar has been all fun and games until I got a handout this week and confused me. I know how to use these tenses regularly, but big problems when it comes to REAL usage. Sure, the past simple and present continuous are simple- but do I say 'Grammar is making me insane/ made me insane ever since I have gotten that handout'. Well, of cause worse in the present perfect (have/has) cases- I have no idea where to use them, including past perf. and so on. The worse case is when people use 'had had been', and I have no idea where it is supposed to be used.

Can you please summarize the rules for each tense with example sentences, please?

2) Usage of plural verbs after determiners (I think they are called determiners, correct me if not) like every, everyone, everybody, any, some and et Cetra.

Example:

'Everyone in this class hates the new handout which makes them confused.' OR

'Everyone in this class hate the new handout which makes them confused'.

I had a good sense of when to use them- I just typed them in and every sentence used to be correct... But when I think of one case carefully, I get confused... This is really frustrating.

Please, teach me how and where to use them correctly.

I am kind of in a rush. My group has been given instruction to make a project on 'Nazi Germany'. As usual, the geek's gotta do it all.

The project format goes like this:

4. Intro

It's been a week and I've not come up with any good ideas nor successfully divided it into interesting and relevant topics. The deadline is the end of this month. All I have done is read Wiki pages on everything concerned with the Nazis. Any help, please? What topics and main ideas should I put in? What should I focus mainly on? How do I even conclude?

You see, I've been working on this one cool app called 'Algodoo' from Algoryx Incs. It is a physics simulator program and it is really cool, and if you don't have it, you can get it on algodoo.com for free on PC and 2 bucks (I think) for mobile- it's worth a try.

Anyway. I've been trying to design a safe combination lock. I know, Algodoo is 2 dimensional, but there are things called collision layers to work on, so no worry. And I don't mean the literal 'safe' as in 'secure', I mean the heavy metal boxes used to store gold and money. It's been a success with my design on tumbler locks, but I am having some difficulties here in this area. I need more details on how they work, ***especially for the function which allows you to set the combination numbers again. ***

Can you please suggest me a more systematic way to write essays? Can you also tell me what the types of essays are?

FYI, I used my own method- I first find the info I need, grabbed a paper, and wrote gists about what things I should write about in each sentence and paragraph. After that, I rearranged them, according to the priority on how strong the statements are. Then I wrote them all down, trying to use as much difficult words as I can, while trying to use as much grammar patterns as I can. I also had to focus on my writing, instead of drifting into other topics rather than the one I was writing about. I also try to use topic sentences, and supporting sentences. I am an IGCSE student from Myanmar (SE Asia), 15 and not a native speaker. Trying to improve my English skills, especially vocabulary and correct uses, language skills and speaking skills. I feel very confident in grammar, but I believe I sound very immature due to the using of a small range of vocabulary, and I need to use more idioms. I also blush words out and often twist my tongue while speaking, and I find it very annoying. It makes me feel inconfident. Please recommend me things I should do.

BTW, I make lots of mistakes using the present/past perfect. No idea when to use them, and how. Please help me out!

So today I've bought a 150ah 12v battery. We have a lot of power cuts here in our country. I already have an inverter for charging and discharging. The problem is that it wouldn't cut off itself and when unattended the batteries even boiled(no crap). I literally spent dozens of batteries (120ah) which lasted for appox. 6-8 months each. I am sicking tired of this. Anyone got an idea? Any diagrams which are SIMPLE AND EASY? Thanks a ton!

P.S I have some hard knowledge on electronics, but not programming, DIY transfomers and epic ICs. but I hope I have all of them exists in my town, if needed.

I have a high-end desktop PC. It all used to be fine until I switched my processor from an i7 2600 to an i7 3770, and upgraded to windows 8.1.

I started to notice it fast because I have many monitoring programs and found out that my games are totally running on the iGPU. All the CPU frequency graphs are Mt. Everests. I have a water cooling system- 29~33 C` ideal but over 45 when gaming. I overclocked the CPU to over 4.5 GHz so whenever I play some games it will just be unstable or even crash.

Usually my media conversions will take up to only some minutes, now it's taking 15 minutes for a movie. I had to set the software to use only 4 threads instead of 8 or the PC will go unstable. This is really frustrating.

I tried to turn the iGPU off from the BIOs but it will only let you choose the default one either the iGPU or my VGA card. Even though my VGA card (and yeah cable is plugged into the card) is selected, no good. Please don't try to tell me that it is impossible and that I am running on my VGA because I literally have a dozen monitoring programs up and all the stress is found on the CPU. Objects won't render properly. Telling me to get the 'LATEST' driver version is no good~ I already have two programs checking them daily and I even went to their site for confirmation. No don't tell me to get the latest BIOs version either. Oh by the way, I tried uninstalling the iGPU driver but no good either!

I know, they are dangerous, over 500 mW is considered as Class IV radiation, will blind me just by indirect UV rays and IR rays, got protections for that. I want some diodes that are really dirt cheap, just round 50 bucks, not over 75. Wavelength doesn't really matter, but I favor green or red. Most of the stuff I saw online are 20 bucks, claiming to have powers over 5 Watts, and handheld! I know those are frauds. Oh and by the way, I would prefer diodes that doesn't need any cooling units, not industrial CNCs, modules(will consider if not too $$$) and stuff, and better if sold with only diodes or handheld. Yeah, it sounds stupid, but they will cost too much for me. Could you please help me with that, on choosing a good one with a low price? If it is a bit more expensive, its okay and I'll consider it, so please mention them too. Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap... (AC DC plays in the background)
