Does anyone have the Edna Hairspray Halloween Costume?

When I cook for myself I like to use garlic, hot peppers, etc., but my wife is very sensitive to the aroma. Even after I brush & use mouthwash she says she can smell it on my breath. This drives my wife and I nuts-we have the sound set to an acceptable level, a commercial comes on and the volume is a lot higher. Is there a way around this-do they make a TV with self modulating volume control? ...I'm stuck with my finger on the volume button so we don't assaulted during commercials...
