My friend is pregnant. Her primary doctor referred her to a major hospital for a sonogram because she is high risk because she has leukemia. After the sonogram she was told she had a miscarriage...they couldn't find a heartbeat. She told her primary doc and he said she needed to get a second opinion because mistakes happen...to get another sonogram somewhere else. She says she has not " passed " anything and there has been no spotting or bleeding. Sonograms are not cheap. My question is : If u have a dead baby still inside u, if u take a pregnancy test, will it come out negative ? And IF the baby is alive, will it come back positive ? I told u it was a weird question

My mom passed away about a year and a half ago. She was married to a man, not my dad, and they seemed to get along great. He seemed like a real nice guy and my daughter loves him. They had some problems at the end where my mom thought he was cheating on her, and I really believe that he was. He still denies it to this day. Anyways, the problem I am having is that he is getting married at the beginning of April. He wants my daughter to be in the wedding, and he wants me to come as well. I just feel real weird about going to the wedding. I know that a person has to move on after a loved one dies. It just seems real soon....too soon. I want him to be happy, but it just seems awkward for me to be watching him marry someone else. I know that sounds stupid. On top of that, the wedding is gonna be at a person's house. The same person that my mom thought he was cheating with. I kinda do not want to go...I would just feel out of place. However, my daughter wants to go and I would not let her go alone. Should I go ? Am I making too big of a deal out of this ?

This women won 1 million bucks on a second tier scratch off ticket. The question that I have is...well...this women is not only the owner, but also works at the same store that she got the ticket from. She not only gets the million, but also the money that the store is gonna get for selling the ticket. I didn't think that this was possible...I thought you could not buy a ticket from the store that you worked at, let alone own. How is this fair ? She could easily watch and see what tickets people buy and see which ones that haven't won, and after a certain number of losing tickets, then she buys one that has not won in a while, and her odds of winning something are higher....does that make sense ??

I guess it is possible since she already won it....unless she lied. I don't know...I just didn't think she could do this, and I looked everywhere on the internet for the rules about the lottery tickets and I cannot find anything that could answer my question.

In Texas, marijuana is illegal, both personal and medical. Then how is it that each year, in the capital of Texas, there is a festival, the Marley Festival, which lasts 3 days, and you can legally smoke weed. It kind of reminds me of Woodstock. Just go in, bring blankets, chairs, tent, football, hula-hoop...whatever, and just chill out, smoke weed and listen to the different bands. You can even light up a blunt while walking right past the cops. I was just wondering how this is allowed to happen being that marijuana is illegal in Texas.

Can a school legally deny a child access to school if they have not had their immunization shots ?

My daughter is in 7th grade. She had her recent immunization shots except for 1. Her doctor's office ran out and told her to come back in a few weeks. So I made an appointment which will be on Oct. 7. I then get this call from the school nurse telling me if she does not get this shot before Sept. is over, she will not be allowed back in school till she has the shot. Can they really do that ?

There is this toolbar on my computer that I do not want. I have already gone to control panel, add/remove programs, and deleted it there. It then said, " successfully removed ". However, it is still there. I am not a computer expert, so could somebody please tell me how to do this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do not know if it matters, but I have Windows XP and Google Chrome is my default browser. HELP PLEASE :(

My daughter has got those pain in the *** lice. We have used the over the counter lice treatments. That took care of the adults. However, the nits are what I am having trouble with. I am using the comb that comes with the lice treatment, but the eggs are too little and the comb is not getting them out. They are so small, they are going between the teeth of the comb. I want to get them out because school will be starting soon, and I want to get her hair fixed. No beauty salon is going to take her if she has head lice. What do I do ? There is way to many to pick out manually. Any suggestions ?

Have you ever heard of " curiosity killed the cat " ? Well...I do not want to be the cat. I live in a rural area....pastures, woods...stuff like that. I was bored and went walking through the woods and I came across , what looked to be, an old wooden shed. It looked like it was about to fall down. I didn't really think anything of it. But then, I heard a whining sound...like a little puppy. I went in the shed....the door was about to fall off, so it was easy to get in. It was a puppy and as soon as I opened the door, he took off. Then I saw them. Boxes and boxes of guns. There was also a box of grenades. I know guns might not be illegal, but grenades are. Then I heard a truck coming up....there was a trail big enough for a vehicle to fit through. I just took off running. He saw me running out of the shed. I managed to run home. Yesterday evening, this truck keeps driving down my road. It is the same truck that I saw. I am afraid to go to the cops because this guys family, who live all around in this town, are a little "off " in the head. The truck drivers brother is in prison for murder. These are real back-wooded people....strange, scary ....psycho-like people. I am freakin out. I do not know what to do. Should I go to the cops, or just hide out and just stay quiet, hoping I will be left alone. I am afraid of his relatives.....they stick up for each other.....if I was to go to the cops, I am afraid of revenge. Please help me...what do I do.....

I have had this cold for about 3 weeks now. The coughing, " junk " in your head and chest, sore throat, and stopped up ears. It just keeps hanging around. I am debating about going to the doctor. I hate to spend $75 bucks just to go into his office and for him to tell me " he can't prescribe anything and it has to run its own course ". But my ears are stopped up, they have been for about 2 1/2 weeks. It is very annoying....my family is getting frustrated with me because I keep saying, " huh " or "what did you say"....and I end up waking up many times every night coughing my lungs out. I have been through a couple bottles of different kinds of over the counter cold medicines. Should I go to the doctor ? I would hate to waste $75 bucks for him to do nothing. Have you ever had a cold this long ? It's summer.....I don't need this.....I hate colds.

My kid had some homework and there was some questions she needed help with. I helped her, but when she got her graded paper back, there was one that I helped her with that was marked wrong. I should know this because it is basic grammar. Find the subject of the sentence. Here is the sentence : With great power comes responsibility. I told her the subject was responsibility. My reasoning was that " with great power " is a prepositional phrase, and the subject of the sentence cannot be in a prepositional phrase. Plus, the verb is " comes " and what comes ? responsibility. However, it was marked wrong. The teacher told my daughter that the subject was power. I am having trouble understanding how power is the subject and not responsibility. I feel stupid asking this question. Do you think the teacher is wrong ? Or am I wrong ? I was just wondering ?

My daughter wants to enter the talent show. She has picked a song and there is no changing her mind about it. She is now practicing it. It is a Michael Jackson song called "shes out of my life ", however she has changed " she " to " he ". She messed up a little on it, but I want honest opinions on her singing. Please don't hate.

I love my husband and I have three beautiful kids. However, I have no interest in sex what so ever. I think this is because I can't have orgasms. No matter how hard I try....even when I try by myself...no orgasms. So, sex is now just a chore. I just went to my gynecologist and talked to him about it. No lab work was done...nothing was done. He " prescribed " me a book to read. How weird is that ? He told me to read 50 shades of Gray. I think it is gonna take more then a book. I was thinking it might be hormone related. I just spent $75 bucks to go to the doctor for him to tell me to get a book. Do you think I should find another gyno ? Does all this sound crazy ? I have never been prescribed a book.

My daughter is in the 11-12 year old softball team. She will be the pitcher. We practice at home all the time. However, there are two size balls, 11 inch and 12 inch. Which size does this age group use ? Last year it was 11 inch. Is it up to the league or is there a rule to use a certain size ball at this age ? Just curious, because I want her practicing with the right size ball, especially since she will be the pitcher.
