How can I make my paralysed rats life better for him until he passes?
I have to rats left after having five boys. One is called Caspar and he's just a plain brown rat who's very independent and fat but loving to me. We bought him from a good breeder in about February 2015. He's getting on now but still acts like a little boy.
My other rat, Ratty, (I know not very original) is an old boy now. We bought him from the pet store in December 2014 and he's really showing his age. He started to drag his feet at the start of the year(2017) and he's now, progressed to mostly dragging his hind legs which I now know is Hind End Degenration which results in a paralysed hind end rat.
He lives in the Furat plus rat cage from pets at home. It is much bigger in real life. But I know in time ratty will struggle getting around. Is there anything I can do to hell him, and is there anything I can give him to slow down the process? My mom wanted him to be put down because we found a really infected scab on his back and because of his HED but the vet said he's too bright eyed and lively to be put down?
Please help me, I love him and his brother too much.
2 AnswersRodents4 years agoHow can I stop my 6month old puppy not to bite?
She's a sprocker spaniel, and we got her yesterday. She's a very energetic little girl but she really hurts when she bites my fingers, hands, arms, legs.
She also licks your face but bites in between kisses. Not nastily. She just scrapes her teeth against me.
We bought her some toys but she doesn't seem interested as much compared to my fingers.
6 AnswersDogs4 years agoMy male rat has two lumps on either of his hind legs?!!?
I noticed the first one a few weeks ago and the other one has come recently. They seem to be on the bone because they do not move.
They do not hurt my ratty (ratty is his name) at all but I've read what they could potentially be and I'm scared for him.
He's about 2 and abbot and he's very active. My whole family love him.
He lives with my other male rat (caspar) and caspar seems fine. But Caspar is also younger and was bought by a breeder. Whilst I got ratty from a pet store.
Please help me
1 AnswerRodents4 years agoHow can I convince my parents to get a fish?
My brother and I, really want an aquarium for our new living room as we are moving house soon. We want a cichlid fish tank and I'm prepared to take care of it because knowing my brother he won't.
I already have 2 rats that my mom and I share the responsibility.
My mom said that we are definitely not having fish, my dads not really bothered. But my mom also said I would never in a million years have rats, and now she won't stop going to the pet store and looking at the little baby rats. She also said that when my myself and my brother move out, my dad and her want more rats as the rats we have are so loving.
So my brother and I were wondering how we could convince them?
3 AnswersFish4 years agoBlue dolphin Cichlids?
My brother and I, are really interested in getting fish. Personally, i love the Blue dolphin cichlids, but my brother wants fishes from Nemo.
Can they be in the same tank?
What other types of fish can also be kept with Blue dolphin cichlids?(preferably smaller but colourful fish)
