Who me? Known as a living anachronism to some, I've lived roughly five decades topsides of the planet in this incarnation, though I was recently accused of being in my late 30s. I guess that's good. Artist, dancer, historian, some say "Renaissance Man" --I have many interests to keep me busy and a terrific partner to keep my life interesting and happy.

On many occasions, "best answer" is awarded to the inane, the ignorant and the hateful. There is such a strong prejudice against Christianity in general, and the historic Church in specific that if the same references were to be made about other religious groups, they would be correctly identified as hate propaganda.
History itself is distorted and abused by the popular vote which seems to prefer ignorance to fact.

In Religion & Spiritualiy, I have read a number of brilliant answers, yet few were given a thumbs up, or any rating at all. I can think of three or four that should have been "Best Answer." Yet, the answers chosen were factually incorrect and showed appalling ignorance.
Particularly disturbing is the ceaseless parroting of scripture phrases. In one winning answer, the passage quoted had nothing to do with the topic--the writer clearly didn't know what it meant.
What do you think of this?
