How can I update the subform report rather than opening a new one in Access?
I currently have a form that does a search based on some fields in a table. The search sends text values to a query. The form has two buttons, one opening the query in editable form (for data manipulation) and the other button opens up a report of the results of the query (basically returns the results in a neat, uneditable form)
My goal is to, rather than opening a new report every time, simply update the subform report I have dragged into the Form below the search. This should allow for quick drawing of the data without having extraneous windows popping up and getting in the way.
How can I get this done?!
Thanks in advance for your help
1 AnswerProgramming & Design8 years agoHow can I import specific cells from excel into specific fields in Access?
Greetings,
Here's what I have:
An excel spreadsheet that is built like a form, containing data from a specific event. Let's say, a sale. The employee fills in the spreadsheet with values and calculations are done based on those values. The sheet is formatted nicely and has labels, but only contains data for one sale, it does NOT contain a list.
What I'm looking to do:
Take specific cell values (i.e. date, purchase price, etc) and put those values to corresponding fields in a specific table in Access. I'm not sure if this requires a VB macro, an SQL plugin, or what?! Basically I want access to be able to run through where these records are saved, open up each NEW, non-recorded file, extract particular values, enter them into a record table, and then proceed down the line until all new records have been recorded.
Thanks for any help!

Do religious people honestly believe that a prophet, the son of god, was born to a virgin (a woman that never engaged in sexual activity)?
In a completely LITERAL sense, as you are supposed to interpret this in the bible.
Something doesn't add up.
