Can I still grow taller?(16 years old, 5'8'')?
I am a 16-year old caucasian male. Since I was 13 years old, I stopped growing, and I am still only about 5'8'' tall.
It is still possible that I get taller in the future?
I am thinking about suicide, if I stay at my present height, as everybody will always look down on me.
My mother is 5'9'', my father and grandfather are both about 6'2'' tall.
6 AnswersMen's Health7 years agoHow important is a man's height to women?
Do women usually value above-average height more than other attributes in a man?
Is height really more important than face, body shape, personality, sense of humor, ambition, status and wealth?
Which of the following two would you consider a more valuable partner?
1.Man, 6'3'' tall, average job and status, mediocre looks and body shape, average personality and intelligence, 26 years old
2.Man 5'6'' tall, CEO of a major international company, top body shape and looks, high intelligence and an exceptionally great personality, 26 years old

4 AnswersMen's Health7 years agoHow would you react if a young succesful billionaire asked you to go out with him?
Just a hypothetical question; 7 years after you finished the high school, you are suddenly contacted by one of your previous classmates(who had a long-lasting unrequited love for you, but was too shy to talk to you and you have ignored him), who now owns a multinational corporation and has become extremely rich, succesful and famous over the course of time, well-known all over the country, and you know second-hand that he is a different and much better person.
Via facebook, he politely asks you to go out with him(to have a cup of coffee or so, nothing special).
How would you react to this; would you go or not?

1 AnswerSingles & Dating7 years agoScared of reincarnation?
I find the concept of reincarnation frightening. Nothing has any meaning, it is only this eternal cycle of misery, from which the only escape is final, permanent death(nirvana).
Ultimately, we all live and die alone, and that is the scariest aspect of that all.
How would you cope with reincarnation if it was real?

5 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoHow to get from existential horror?
I am a 18-year old student.
About a month ago, I suddenly fully realized how futile all the things we do in life are in the grand scheme(which is terrifying in itself).
Soon, I started to terrorize myself with existential thoughts about the nature of life, existence and the fate of death and what happens after it. After carefully examining every single philosophical and theological theory about what happens after the event of our death, I came up with the conclusion that every single outlook there is is basically the most frightful thing conceivable, including the theories of nothingness, heaven, infinite reincarnations, nirvana, matrix, dream realms and so on.
In addition; questions such: what lies beyond the universe? Has the existence any beginning, end or purpose? If the god exists, why he came to existence and why that cause of him did? What is at the end of existence? Is anything even remotely real?
When I closely examined all of these possible existential hypotheses and their variations, I couldn't find any that was not unbearably terrifying. The scariest aspect of them all is simply the ungraspable infinity that lies beyond any of them; however, if the existence was simple and understandable, it wouldn't make it any more logical and less scary.
How do you live your daily lives without thinking about all of this? How it is possible to get out of an existential crisis?
Thanks.

I am a 20-year old student from Slovakia, know for drawing the Map of the Internet

Last few months of my life have been quite nice, boasting with plenty of successes and opportunities, however, about a month ago, I suddenly fully realized how futile all the things we do in life are in the grand scheme of things.
Soon, I started to terrorize myself with existential thoughts about the nature of life and the fate of death and what happens after it. After carefully examining every single philosophical and theological theory about what happens after the event of our death, I came up with the conclusion that every single outlook there is is basically the most frightful thing conceivable, including the theories of nothingness, eternal heaven, infinite reincarnations, nirvana, matrix, dream realms and so on.
When I closely examined all of these possible existential hypotheses and their variations, I couldn't find any that was not unbearably terrifying.
Argument that I will be in the same state I was before birth is not comforting at all; I find the nature of beforelife equally horrifying than all the prospects of existence after death.
How do you live your daily lives without thinking about all of this? Is it possible to get out of an existential crisis?
Please, I need your help.
Thanks.
