  • How are the friends on Facebook categorized?

Why do they appear in the order they are in and what causes them to change? Someone told me it was the last person to comment on your account? Is this true?

    Thanks

  • I am going to be moving to Ft. Collins, CO...can I afford it?

I will be making 38K and am looking at a rental for $1095. I also have a car payment of $255. I am a single mother of an 8 year old so I will have childcare expenses for a few more years, but will also get child support. I am making $24K now and pay $850 in Norman, OK. I know my child support payments will go down significantly so Im not really counting on that too much.

Can I afford $1095? What activities can I do with my 8yr old son there?

    Thanks so much.

  • My Gawd--I can't pay for cable TV anymore?

As someone who has had cable her whole life, this is going to be a very hard transition, but I just can't bring myself to pay close to $100/month for channels that I only watch about 5 of on a regular basis anyway.

I am looking into getting a DTV converter box and antenna but I know nothing about these things.

Can some nice person please tell me how and where I can get some reliable information and about how much I should be paying for these things?

Which ones are the best and what kind of antenna should I get?

    thanks so much

  • Is this your Pit mix puppy?

I found a female Pit mix in Norman, OK near HW9 & McGee over the Memorial Day weekend. She is tan & white with a white tip on her tail. About 4-6 months old, potty trained, and well behaved. She has to be someone's beloved pet. I am trying everything I can think of to reunite her with her owners. Please email if you think this might be your dog and be prepared to prove ownership (i.e. vet records/pictures).

    Thanks

  • ADHD 1991 school funding?

Someone told me that in 1991 Congress passed amendments to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (1960s) which is now called No Child Left Behind. The changes they claim were made is that for every child diagnosed with ADHD the schools get $400.

I have looked everywhere for proof of this. Can anyone cite me the law or provide a link to it?

    thanks

  • Washington State residents---I need help/advice?

I am going to be graduating from the University of Oklahoma with my MLIS (masters of library & information studies) in May 2010! Yay-me! I am wanting to stay on the west part of WA and probably south of Seattle-where I heard it is cheaper.

I am 33yrs old, female, single mother of a 7yr old. I live a pretty active, healthy lifestyle, am a liberal and a dog lover. I can probably afford around 1000k/month to start out.

Can anyone tell me about the areas between Seattle and Tacoma---affordability and school quality are the most important issues to me now.

    Thank you so much!

  • I am moving to another state with my son and need to know my rights?

I was never married to the father of my 7yr old son.

I have had custody of him his whole life---the only one taking physical care of him (i.e taking him to school, Dr., extra curricular activities..etc...)

I am a full time graduate student and work part time (monthly income of 1K) graduating in May 2010

His father makes 40-45K a year working full time

He pays $100/month and will sometimes give me a little extra if I ask (which I hate doing)

I pay all medical/dental insurance, clothes, school supplies, entertainment, etc...for our son

I am on food stamps, but that is all the assistance I get

    We never established custody legally

He takes our son 48 days out of the year (once a week Sat. overnight)

I am wanting to move to WA from OK to pursue a Ph.D and would like to take our son. I am not moving to keep them apart and am willing to send our son to his fathers for two months in the summer and every other holiday/birthday.

I realize that Yahoo answers is not the most professional way to get advice but I am exploring all options. I plan on hiring a lawyer and petitioning the courts for sole physical custody. I would also like him to start paying more child support since our son is getting older (and more expensive).

What are my rights in this situation? thanks

  • Oklahoma to Washington state; what do I need to know?

I am from Oklahoma and I have to get out of here.

I am totally in live with the state of WA. The climate (cool), the scenery(green and mountainous),the lifestyle (active), the location (coastal & Canada), the people(mostly liberal) & everyone seems so dog friendly. It's like another planet and everything that OK is not.

I will be graduating in a year with a Masters in Library Science and am counting the days until I can move. I have looked at a few jobs around the state and it seems promising; average salary ranging from 40-70K based on experience (I have a few years working in a history library as a grad student).

Where would be the best place for someone like me? I have a young child so school quality is important.

So far I have looked at the Poulsbo, Bremerton, Seabeck, & Ocean Shore areas.

    Thanks so much

I am moving to Bremerton, WA in a year after I finish school.

Can anyone tell me how much I should make to live comfortably? I checked out a few of the job listings for my profession and they range 50-70K.

Can you please tell me which schools are the best; I have a young child.

    Thanks so much

  • Should I wait until closer to father's day to purchase a new TV?

I am wanting to buy a new flat screen but I think I should wait for some sales. Is it worth it?

    3 AnswersTVs1 decade ago
  • I am looking for a new flat screen LCD and I need help.?

From what I have researched so far a Panasonic seems like the best deal, brand wise. I don't really need more than a 32" and I don't play any video games.

The feature that I am most interested in is being able to easily mount it on the wall (possibly in a corner) because I am moving into a much smaller condo (livingroom wise) and I have a 7 yr old boy and a 2yr old dog so it would be nice to have the TV up and away from them.

Thanks so much, I don't know anything about Hz's or 720p. WTF! Lol

    thanks so much

  • Is this a good TV for the price and features?

    Panasonic - VIERA / 32" Class / 720p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV

    Model: TC-L32C12 | SKU: 9235142

    $499 at Best Buy

Could someome please tell me what the 60hz means?

I don't watch many movies or play any video games. I just need a flat screen (I would like to mount it) in order to save space.

    thanks
