  • Use Morton Pool Salt for Saltwater Aquarium?

I would like to setup a Saltwater aquarium and use Morton Pool Salt for the aquarium as the basis for the salt only. I have an RO unit that I am using for the water. The RO unit is EXTREMELY soft (between 0 and 1 hardness), so I plan to use Arm and Hammer Baking soda to raise the PH and hardness.

As it stands, I have the salinity spot on at 1.024. Amonia, Nitrate, and Nitrite are all zero. I plan to add 1oz of API Quikstart per day for about two weeks and let the water cycle. This has the live bacteria that I need to cycle the tank.

I have a 24 gallon Nanocube and using the following for filtration

1 pound of active carbon, 1 pound of ceramic rings, 50 bioballs, + 1 pound of zeolite. I also have a protein skimmer.

Lastly, I have a bottle of the Kent Essential Elements, which I believe has the 70 trace elements needed for saltwater aquariums. I also have a few different liquid Calcium bottles (Instant Ocean Calcium, Purple Up, and Kent Liquid Calcium).

Taking all the above into consideration, should the Morton Pool Salt work, instead of a very much more expensive Instant Ocean Sea Salt? Keep in mind this is for a BRAND NEW tank. Currently no livestock. I have base rock and live sand already in the tank.

  • Is it okay to give your tithe to your children (savings account) instead of a church, ministry, missionary, etc?

The answer I am seeking is not an issue of whether I should tithe or not. The question is "WHERE" or "TO WHOM" I can or should tithe. Is it acceptable to tithe to your own children, to invest in them, and let God bless that.

  • Would you leave a job you love for an extra $20,000 per year? (or a 27% raise?)?

I have a job that I love, but have recently been offered a job that pays considerably more. It's about a 27% raise, which I know will NEVER happen where I am at. So, the new company is about 27 miles from the house as well, where as my current company is half that. And, my current company is casual dress everyday (jeans), whereas the new place is Business Casual (more casual) with Casual Friday's. My current company has International Travel (which I love), and the new company would have only domestic travel. It really is a tough decision for me. What would you do?

  • Online HTML Game through address bar?

There used to be an old game (I forget the name) that you could play online where you had to change the HTML address to play. For example, the first page was www.game.com/start (just an example), and that page said, "You aren't smart enough to play this game. Go away." So, you had to change the address bar to "www.game.com/away" because the page told you to go to "away." When you got to the "away" page, it said somethinig like "So you think you are clever enough because you guessed "away." I'll bet you can't get to the next page. So, you had to change the address bar to "www.game.com/thenextpage.html" and so on. Each page got progressively more difficult, and there were about fifty or so pages in all to beat the game. Is anyone familiar with the game? Can you respond with a link? I would love to play it again.
