For a few days I have been looking further into the world of "White Dobermanns" through pure curiosity and how they are often labelled as "Albino" although is it not entirely possible for the albino Dobermann to really be a dilution gene? As in the dog equivalent to a cremmello horse. This would also explain the variations in the "white" on different dogs since some seem to have quite a dark ivory colourings with clear definition on their markings whilst some are more of a cream colour with less definition and others are almost completely white all over. And would this not also explain how blues and fawns are also regularly born into the same litter as "albino" Dobermanns. Don t get me wrong I am by no expert in this field and do not condone breeding these dogs since doing so would be breeding against the standard and make anybody breeding them a BYB, I was just wondering other people s views on this subject and whether or not you believe if these dogs are truly albinos or not :)

I recently got a new horse and was looking through his pedigree and it says his grand sire was palomino and his grand dam was grey but his sire turned out chestnut? I get that his grand sire will have one copy of the cream gene and one copy of the chestnut gene but shouldn't the grey have covered it up?? I'm his sure the grand dam is homozygous grey because all her recorded family are grey, can any one shed some light into how he turned out chestnut? Any help appreciated :)

So I am buying my 14 year old niece her first horse (I already checked with her mum and she's completely fine with it) seen as she always helps me with my horses so I think she's ready, the problem is through I can't figure out what size, she is 5ft 4" and weighs 10.5 stone, I was thinking maybe a 15.1/2 hh cob x but I think I may be overestimating, oh yeah I forgot to say, she's already taken lessons and knows how to ride and the horse will be staying at my farm, thanks :)

Has anybody else seen seen or owned one of these dogs and are they actually well bred because to me they look like a BYB's that breed purely for size like the ones that breed those "king shepherds" surely no reputable breeder would willingly produce such a dog would they? or are they an actual lineage (although I have never heard of them until today), to me they look nothing like GSD's more like those "giant Alaskan malamutes" (which I'm pretty sure aren't well bred either", any help appreciated :)

Okay, so this morning my smallest dog buddy (yorkie mix) hopped up onto my bed and was jumping around and was playing and being himself but then one of my other dogs Merlin (border collie) hopped up and he was happy and came over to sit next to me but then buddy's mood changed and he turned his head away and wouldn't look at me or Merlin and then started creeping away to the end of the bed where he just lay their and starting shaking so I picked him up and sat down with him and he started yawning and licking his lips (both signs of stress) he has never done this before and I was wondering why he did it after that he wasn't his usual self he went outside and just lay in the barn, what could this be??, any help appreciated :)

I have to make a cake for my little nephews halloween party and I was wondering if there is anything I could bake into it? Like gummy worms or would they just melt or has anyone got any design ideas, any help welcome and thank you in advance :)

I was just wondering what other training techniques other people use and how popular and efficient they are, I just correct my dogs when they are wrong by saying a sharp "no" and shower them with praise when they do something right I was wondering if there is any more techniques that work well and what they are, keep it civil though please :)

Okay so my fiancé really wants to have a baby and I would love to have one to but the only thing is that I am really bad when it comes to blood, pain and tests, and when I say bad I mean really bad (It took me till I was 12 to muster up the courage to have my ears pierced 😂) , at one point I was like hey why not it can't hurt that much I mean loads of people do it more than once and then I watched one born every minute and I am scared to death, my question is does it really hurt that much? What is the pain like?, please help me I don't wanna b like 50 and then realise Its to late (btw I'm 23), any help appreciated :)

In just curious about which type other people prefer, personally I prefer the working lines but I was wondering what other people prefer and why :)

The other day I was walking my dogs (pit, GSD mix and Yorker mix) and a my GSD mix (possibly with a husky) went over to a man and greeted him and was stroking her, so I went over to speak to him and we had a friendly chat until he asked me what breed she was and I sed German shepherd mix at that point he backed up and said "woah I don't usually get close to crosses because of how vicious they are" so I called her off and we carried on talking and he said that mutts are more aggressive than purebreds and are all mentally unstable I the. Walked of thinking nothing of this and I still don't belive it as I have owned MANY mutts becos I get all my pets from shelters and they don't have many purebreds and have NEVER found this in ANY of them, has anyone else ever heard of this? Of course I don't belive him I'm just curious :), any help appreciated x

A friend of mine is trying to get rid of her dog (he looks like an APBT) and becos nobody else will take him I agreed that I would take him BUT the only problem is that the only reason she is getting rid of him is because she was fighting with her boyfriend and when she hit him the dog nipped her in the leg it didn't tear her clothes or leave a mark it didn't even bruise and she ignored it and hit him again and the dog growled and started snarling at her, I don't want to put this dog down because he was protecting his owner (her boyfriend) but I couldn't forgive myself if he ever bit a child or even worse seriously injured one and please don't say he has to be put down because he is a pit I have owned plenty of friendly pits that have never injured an animal or a human please help!!!

Thx for taking the time to read this question, I am currently trying to find a companion dog for my yorkie mix as he sadly cant play with my other two dogs because they accidentally injure him most of the time as they are both large dogs so I was wondering if anybody knows any small dog breeds that would suite being a new friend for him, he is quite small (just a little smaller than a standard yorkie) and is very laid back most of the time but he does enjoy playing with other dogs when he can be bothered lol :), he is also very dopey tho so the new dog won't be able to play too rough with him, any1 got any breed suggestions any help appreciated:)

So, today I went to an animal shelter (not the one I usually go to to get pets tho) to pick out a new cat because my old one had recently died :( and I picked out a big Ginger tom with one green and one blue eye and 2 days later they told me I couldn't have the cat because I work even tho I explained that I live with 3 other people and there would always be someone home with the cat they refused to let me have him because the people that would be with the cat didn't come and didn't fill out any paper work, were they right to not let me have him or were they being unfair any help appreciated :) x

Okay so when I go out in public for some reason I get this horrible stomachache and feel as if I'm going to be sick and pass out and feel like everybody is staring at me and judging me which doesn't help either so I either go home or go somewhere where nobody else is this has really been affecting me for a long time because I cannot bring myself to talk to strangers so how am I going to get a job!, I hate it is there any way I can get rid of it or am I just looking to far into things please can anybody help!!x

Okay so my hair is very light blonde and I was wondering if I leave my shampoo/conditioner in (it's purple in colour) overnight will it turn my hair a light purple colour or just make it very light blonde???has anyone done this before??

3 strays I took in have turned out to be pregnant and I don't no what to do they are due in about 2 weeks and I haven't got enough room for all of them, will they take care of each other's kittens coz I saw a programme and these two cats both had a litter of kittens each and took care if both litters together so cud these cats take care of each other's litter??!!, what do I need!!, these cats are going to be spayed as soon as possible after there kittens are weaned so there won't b any more litters but I hav no idea wat to buy!!! Any help appreciated :)!!x

I recently got a tabby cat that has odd eyes 1red and 1 green and the thing that's strange is I though only white or mostly white cats get odd eyes but he doesn't have a single bit of white on his body and usually with odd eyed cats 1 has 2 be blue doesn't it? Is this a problem? I got him from a shelter so he shouldn't have anything wrong with him and they never mentioned anything but I was reading an article and it said odd eyed cats are usually deaf or blind in 1 or both eyes/ears? Also can any1 recommend a name Because I can't think of any any help appreciated :)

The feral cat I've been taming came today with what looks like a mole kind of thing on her head and it's balding around it she is also limping a bit I think she might have gotten in a fight but I don't know and she won't let me pick her up or go near her so I can't take her inside or to the vet is there any kind of home remedy thing that could take away the pain or if you think you may know what's up with her please say

In my garden I have a kitten who keeps visiting since she was 5 or 6 weeks and she is a around 12 weeks now and since she started visiting I've been trying to tame her and the only progress I've had is having to sit on the floor and even if I make the slightest movement like moving my hand or foot she bolts is she feral ?? Any help appreciated :)
