  • eReader - Can it read custom PDF files?

Hi, I'm considering buying a device for reading e-books. Now, the Tablet can read PDF files without issues. However the Tablets have low battery life in comparison to eReaders which last for weeks without re-charge.

My problem is that I am reading foreign books that are not available on Amazon store. My question: is it possible to download or transfer the e-book (PDF file) to eReader and read it? Or is the eReader strictly looked to Amazon account and cannot read anything that is not from Amazon Store?

  • What will happen in a scenario if ISIS develops an Atomic Bomb? How would the world counter that?

So if unlikely probability would happen that ISIS would develop an Atomic Bomb and launch it on US, EU or Russia is it possible to safely intercept it and destroy it in the sky?

Or is it it much more likely that we would notice it too late and some city would get blown up and suffer radiation for some time?

  • DBZ - Why Goku had to run back the Snake Way after being revived in the beginning of DBZ?

This always bugged me, it seems like unnecessary inconsistency. Everybody else in the series after being wished back were transported right in the front of Dragon Ball Z OR come back to life into the body which the dragon first heals from physical damage before revival the person.

Goku for some stupid reason had to first run all the way back the Snake Way before being able to return... Is it even "legal" to be alive in the other world for someone like him...

  • Confused European here. Why do you call your President, Obama, a Muslim?

I was under impression that he is Protestant Christian. Don't tell me it's because he agreed to take in some refugees because that would be just plain retarded reasoning...

  • Car started revving very loudly when drinving at 50-60 km/h. What could be the common causes?

I'm only a rookie at cars. My mother's car started experiencing noise issue. It started revving (or however you call the high RPM engine noise) very loudly when it's driving merely on 3rd gear at 50-60 km/h. This did not happen in the past.

It sounds as if you are sitting in an Air Plane beside the engine. You can even feel unusual vibration from the noise.

From my past experience with my own car I thought it's exhaust. But when the car is idle, the sound is reasonable. It doesn't sound like a Rally Car. Any ideas? The car is Nissan March 2004.

  • Why wireless mouses connect to the USB dongle instead of directly to your Computer Bluetooth?

Kind of infuriating when you have to purchase a whole perfectly still functional expensive Mouse and/or Keyboard because a small USB dongle gets damaged or missing.

Why are these devices limited to this dongle? If your computer had the bluetooth built in why can't they just connect to it instead. As result avoiding the whole dongle limitation and as a bonus saving up USB slot.

Windows 8 Serial Number after Hard Drive failure?

So the problem is the bottom screenshot. Long story short is that my Laptop HDD died, and I have replaced it, downloaded official Windows 8 installation using Microsoft Creation Tool.

Installing it. But now it asks for serial number. Where do I get it? Back in the day it used to be printed on the actual computer. Today I heard it's in the BIOS. Is it possible to view it in the BIOS? Because when I started the installation I was under impression that BIOS would automatically detect it and input it. But apparently it didn't. So what's the proper way to fix this issue after a Hard Drive failure?

  • How to duplicate remote lock/unlock "chip" for Nissan Micra?

Hi, I'm not really a smart when it comes to cars. My mother recently purchased Nissan Micra 1.2 (2004). She would like me to order a new case for the keys, since the old one is noticeable old and buttons worn out.

I understand that I may simply purchase a new case with the uncut key, and later cut it at the LockSmith's shop.

But I don't know what to do with the buttons? She doesn't want to replace old one with the new one, she wants to have two fully functional sets (meaning buttons have to work).

So my question is where do I get a new "chip" I suppose which is responsible for Locking/Unlocking car and get it reprogrammed so it would work on this car?

  • Rear (Center) View Mirror fell off, what should I use to attach it back on?

My mother somehow managed to detach the rear view mirror. I'm now trying to attach it back on, but not sure what to use. I tried strong glue, double sided tapes but it still falls down from car is in motion due to constant shake in car.

Any tips how to firmly attach it back? It's an old car, 1998 Fiat Punto.

  • When a Graphics Card requires at least 450W power is that value excluding the power system uses?

When a Graphics Card requires at least 450W power to operate, is that value being calculated including how much power your system is wasting on other components such as Motherboard, Hard Drives, Processor, Fans?

Or 450W has to "spare" power left after already powering all other PC components, in which case the actual requirement is like 750W PSU?

  • Skype webcam odd issue, playback breaks up into 3 lines(screenshot attached)?

I'm experiencing an odd issue with Skype webcam. The playback breaks up into 3 lines and those lines are not positioned in the same order or straight, making it impossible to view the video properly.

I've been having this issue when accepting web calls as well before I bought my own webcam as well. I tried to uninstall Skype and re-install it back in. Any ideas what is causing it?

  • Laptop HDMI port broken, are there USB to HDMI converters out there for Laptops?

Hey, my Laptop HDMI port has broke down and I don't really feel like replacing entire motherboard for it. I used Laptop primary as the storage device and streaming movies to TV via HDMI. Are there exist USB to HDMI converters or that's simply not possible?

I know I could connect VGA cable to TV, but the quality is really crap and nothing in comparison to HDMI. Not to mention I wish to use TV speakers too.

  • Is it possible to track your phone over computer with Google Earth/Maps or other software?

Hi, couple of weeks ago my phone was stolen and most likely by one of cousin "friends". Naturally I don't want to point fingers, as they say not caught not guilty.

I purchased a new phone now, it's an Android, it has GPS and am curious about its security. Is it possible to install some sort of software which would force GPS to turn on so I could track the phone from my computer such as Google Earth/Maps even if my SIM card will be detached?

I'm curious about this just in case if the phone will get missing again, so there would be a way to track it(at least until the guy wipes all the software on phone).

  • Help me understand what physically broke inside the Laptop after it fell?

Hi, my Laptop has unfortunately fell down yesterday and now it has serious issue. When I turn it on it works perfectly fine, it loads the Windows and works nice and fast. But around after 2-5 minutes the screen will shut down, the Laptop will still work but screen will be black.

Normally by common sense I would thing that my graphics card or connectors between it and display got damaged but here's an interesting thing. If I try to restart computer when the screen turned black then Laptop won't even pass the BIOS boot, it will shutdown 5 seconds after I turn it on. Only if I wait few hours, only then I can turn on computer together with screen for around 2-5 minutes again.

Any ideas what broke and what should be changed? Also why it loads to Windows but after restart won't even load past BIOS boot?

  • People say NEVER photoscan and send your passport over the Internet, but what really is the worst could happen?

People say that it's extremely dangerous to scan your passport and send it over the Internet. But is it really, considering that so many companies these days require your ID to prove your identity or age. I hardly doubt that the bank will do any business with a person if he brings a passport scan on a piece of paper.

And let's assume that indeed you have sent the scan of your passport to some scamming individual(s) in... I don't know let's say India. What is really that they can do with a scan of foreign passport? I perfectly understand the consequences if your real passport gets into a scammer hands, but seriously a photocopy is dangerous too?

  • How are these kind of Wireless Keyboards and Mouses are called?

Hi, I'm looking for a Wireless Keyboard & Mouse set so it would have this wired "extended transmitter" of sort so the signal would go to it, rather to the usb.

Here's the link of such set with this thing that I'm talking about: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/Microsoft-Wireless-Keyboard...

I won't buy that one as Keyboard and Mouse looks ugly. How is this thing called so I would know how to search for it online?

  • Where can I get Code Geass English Dub subtitles file?

Hi, my English is not great. I would like to watch Code Geass in English Dub and prefer to have English subs too at the same time. But the version I downloaded subtitles I believe were translated separately from the dubbed version since nearly every sentence is different. For example:

Dubbed Audio: "This is what saved your life"

Sub: "This is what protected you..."

Dubbed Audio: "They got us completely surrounded"

    Sub: "We are trapped"

I want subtitles to be identical to audio dub.

P.S. No, I don't want to watch in Japanese audio.

  • Is it true that if you stop drinking protein shakes, you'll start "blowing out" like a balloon?

Hi, I've decided to start attending gym and had my first day yesterday. Feeling like crap today, I guess that's a good thing.

From what I understand my body needs a high amount of protein for muscles to rebuild better. I have a question regarding Protein Shakes. Some of my friends are totally against "protein shakes", they say you should only get the protein from food like meat, vegetables, fruits, milk, basically natural food. They say if I will start drinking PS then I will have to consume it "always" or else when I stop I'll start blowing off like a balloon in comparison if I'd get protein from normal food(which they said would be "slower, but better")

I wish to know is that's true, because we all get those busy days if not weeks when you cannot attend gym for a while. Would I start losing muscle very rapidly if I will be consuming PS and then stop? Or are they making PS into some sort of steroids in their stories? I'd normally ignore them, but they are regular gym guys, and quite big boys themselves(big and buffed, and I know them for years now). They got more experience that I do.

I'm 20 years old male, 60KG if that makes any difference(I know I know, too low. Working on it).

  • Which Naruto Shippuden Episode or Movie was it where they repeated the exam?

I've started watching the episode or movie where Naruto was repeating the exam to get promoted, now I can't find that episode anywhere.

Basically the opening scene was Konahamaru and his 2 friends were in the tight spot and Naruto helped them. Then next battle was announced Naruto vs Konahamaru and there I stopped. I think the Leaf was already quite damaged.
