I'm a Gnostic Liberal Christian, I like discussing religion and politics with rational people and have an open spirituality and accept others practices. I can't stand people who want to condemn others for their religious practices, I mean nobody has the same God, we all have our idea of God. I also can't stand people who won't cross party lines in rational debates they simply disagree with the other side for pure irrational politics. The meaning to my life is to evolve into more than a rational thinker ,or an intellectual philosopher, or to understand all the sciences, but to evolve into understanding fully, myself, and when I have understood every thing about myself I will be satisfied with knowing nothing of the world and all its complexities. Until then I'll manage by soaking up all the knowledge I can.

  • Weeping while unconscious?

I've had two dreams in the past week, while in them i begin weeping, one I am on trial and begin weeping, for I don't know why I'm being persecuted, in the other I am alone and staring at the ocean.

When I awoke,I found my face saturated.

I haven't wept openly sense my nephews funeral, I know it's healthy to, but I'm unaware of what is going on here.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

  • What do you think of this poem?

    You are the exalted,

    Yet you have been defiled,

You were aborted and your life is longevity,

You are a dry lamp and light burns from you,

The world has set forth obstacles before you,

    Still your path is bare,

You were born in a dessert,

    And your namesake produces floods,

Those with ears to hear shall listen and be devoured by your silent suffrage,

You have walked on the path,

Yet your feet never lay upon level ground.

  • PC build parts compatability?

Hello, I'm new to PC gaming but I would like to know if the products I've been investing in are worth it? If there are any potential bottle necks in my product list and the room for upgrades. I also work with CAD, so it would be beneficial if it had some CAD capability.

running 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport 4Gb RAM sticks.

  • Building a PC Entertainment center on a budget?

I'm looking into building a Gaming pc/home entertainment center on a budget and have a couple vital questions before I make my final decision.

I'm using a laptop coversion 120GB SSD coupled with a 1TB Seagate Hybrid drive.

    My quandary is as follows

    1. AMD (MOBO+CPU+Graphics Card) Vs Intel (MOBO+CPU+RAM)

    2. 2 or 3 120mm fans vs single water cooling system

    3. Power supply, I'm thinking 550

Any experienced builders help with my build options.

  • is this verse any good?

So many faces but none can please, like your warm distant memory

It seems this world was not meant for me, so I just close my eyes and dream

A thousand miles traveled in a single breath I can hold you again

And the morning light unravles my lowly death posponed only by fantasy,

until I see you again, in my dreams

    This life's hardly living

I only sing when I think of you,

so I sing the whole night through,

yeah I sing in the day time too

  • Is the imagery in this poem good?

    "Stale Affection"

The glove of the hand that seems to move

    To touch

    Falls away to percieve nudity

Stale air crushes what we were

    Every time I stay

    Just another enquiry on affection

    The hand is dead now

    Meaningless as we are too

    Rotting away

    The glove

    Silk, smoothe, sublime

    A facade

    The door to leave

    A solid stone

    Has neither latch nor key

    Meaningful as we are

    Dust gathers along the molding

    Winds blow Elsewhere

    Always Elsewhere

  • Is the message in my poem clear?

Two hearts feeling what the other had lost,

A chance to view with open eyes.

    Friendship's offering at romance's cost,

A wish to know neither had lied.

    Promises made in strong philosophy,

To love and be loved honestly.

Can we forgive if we see it through.

It was so many, you were mine too.

But of that love we want ours true.

I forgave before, I felt it was you.

Now my view autumn's amber sea.

All these leaves begin to wither and fall,

But I know that you shall not for me,

Cause I've sown my love evergreen.

  • Cleaned a poem, second draft, what do you think?

    Free form is free game,

Counterfeit bills dropped in an offering plate.

    Under worked tax free,

Take what you can for lies to believe.

    Sidewalk sidetracked,

Give all you have with hot steel at your back.

"The man in the moon"'s dead eyes don't move.

    Street lights cause passing blindness.

"The clock on the wall"'s hands lie too.

Cursed whispers now drown out dead silence

Don't stand in wait to stand in awe,

Scratch the page with ink and pen,

Time is fleeting with the breath I draw,

    Scratch out your memory again.

Silver tongues speak lies to spread truth,

Do not speak nor reach for what you've forgot,

For they will remain, will they not?

Before the thistle can take root.

    Lest you be searching still,

Before you stands my cursed reflection,

The space between us is not real.

To remain within fear; first emotion.

Give to save that starving child,... he died yesterday,

To live and let die in pain,

Save another dies with each new day.

Of it all we're not to blame.

Save, can you point out the one's grave?

Beneath a sky of ashen rain,

Our guiltlessness will burn in flames.

    ____

This is a poem of self-victimization

Had previously written this poem with the struggles of others in mind, but after being the victim of a home invasion, then being arrested because of my tollerance of my roommates pot habbit(guilty as charged) when the cops showed up; I CALLED THE COPS-I GET ARRESTED? decided to make it introspective instead.

  • What do you think of this poetic verse I wrote?

I drove past your house and wept for my dignity,

My lack of ambition tears me to shreds it seems.

All these words a wise man won't say.

I don't believe they kill my sobriety...

    Tthat left me yesterday.

  • What do you think of this poem of mine?

The emotional lines drawn in the sand of my heart

They are carried away by the tides of fate

My body cast upon the jagged shore of reality

As I lay on this cold floor

My resting place night after night

I toss and turn in turmoil

Understanding the vessle that sailed for you

    Departed through unnavigable seas

It lays in the depths of my mind now

A treasured memory corroded by time

  • A poem of *mine* I revised?

Two hearts feeling what the other had lost

A wish to view with opened eyes

    Friendships offered at romance's cost

A hope to know neither had lied

To live by that strong philosophy

To love and be loved honestly

It was to so many It is ours too

But of that love you want your true

You've yet see my heart and learn

Of that fire inside me which burns

    And prods that which yearns

Will we forgive when we see ours true

    I've forgave before

    I thought it you

  • Tried writing in a different free form style, comment please?

Truth once known shall be remembered and yet still never die,

That what so trivial you may find in breath of life I give freely of myself

And when you think it not there, my love that rides upon the raging waves and still waters

While it has been given unto so few, by so many more is it known

While percieved as a coward running from his thoughts in a hot summer's night

It is with each beat of my heart that it remains stead fast and roaring

The pounding steps and ranting banter of a foolish mob through the streets of Rome

Through opression it presses on forever to conquer fear and find within itself

Freedom so willfully gained and ignorance humbled

To lay before the feet of peasants and heirs of noble fornication

Truth found in undying love of truth

The words that yearning hearts do so long to speak and hear

  • Rate my rhymes PLEASE!?

If you're still up just let me know,

cause I'm down to get down and it's true I'm a ho,

    itz true what ya said

an' you feel more comfort when I'm outta your bed,

but jus feed my ego and blow my head

cause your silence lets me know that the romance is dead,

But i still try in vain, to relieve yours

    and keep my pain...

There are so many things I wish to say to you,

I know I f#cked up and we both feel used

    it comes easiest

we I put it to rhymes

    I miss your pleasingness

    and all o' that time

    spent tryin to be free,

but I get lost in perspectives when I'm just dying to be... me,

I'd let you break the chains wrapped around my heart

if I didn't fear you'd just leave it there in the dark,

so I'll sing it in a brighter note

with the sun beaming down on my back while I float

    through a tropical storm

let me feel you around me

    your essence is warm

    In a drunken haze

I spend my time reflecting on freely spent days,

I just want to stay this free,

I'm dying inside just tryin to be... me,

so I'll let it all out

like the time I tied a noos

    and tried it in doubt,

    broke the cealing fan

then put it back together like a carpenter... man,

this rhyme's got me feeling somethin truer than you

an' if I don't stop it there's no tellin what I'll do

If you wanna go all night take my hand

n' we'll dance, wanna try it again?...

    just one more chance,

but if I'm honest it's just to relive that pain,

insecurities I feel leave me buried in truth,

when all I wanted was to be buried in you,

let me know how you feel on the dance floor again,

mix a drink for me with some tonic an' gin

Lift me up when l'm drunk but drop me when I'm sober,

when perspective ain't shrunk then I'll know that it's over

Regret nothing, but try for better decisions tomorrow,

all bets just things with chances that fallow...

The pendulum swings to an essence that's hallow

  • Is this poem any good?

    Beyond humiliation

    I was innocent before

    Now so far beyond separation

They stole that with an unlocked door

I bid myself lay on the floor

Please oh, please, for me no more

    The sight won't leave

    My mind can't bare

    Lying on the floor

    The toppled chair

    Myself

    A noose

    A failed slipknot

    Try again... And Fail?

    I'd rather not!

  • When's the last time someone asked a fundamental philosophical question on here?

I find hypothetical, religious, political, arrogant, stupid questions on here all day.

What if every one where to manifest fundamental inquiries on more than the above mentioned through logic, perceptive reality, desire, need, ego where can I answer a question that shows my true perspective through my endeavors of reflection and critical thinking?

My blue is blue and it's true blue if you can't see it you're colorblind, it's not red or yellow! Stop asking stupid questions like that!

War is the control of land and resources through the use of life by those in control of others' lives. It is sad but we are not disciplined enough to regulate ourselves so we must regulate each other with fear of death and death in defiance.

Religion is made by men end of argument! Have you seen Joseph Smith, Elron Hubbard, or Charles Manson?

Answer my question with a fundamental philosophical question please I NEED to find one to ask myself!

  • What do you think of this short verse I wrote?

I often strain to bind the weight of my poetry

The words in turn that hold my tongue

    Weigh heavy on my heart

    A broken-hearted rhyme on a failing melody

Lessons learned when I was young

    Weigh heavy on my heart

  • What do you think of this poem I wrote?

    "Hidden Walls"

All I've done is not, but true

The splendor of the setting sun's

Shades of gold to be undone

Fall like shingles from a rotten roof

What I am is All, but false

    Passages through hidden walls

    Of alfalfa and tall grass

Time is warden of it all

    Hope's roof is sheen-less glass

If you've seen me not that's fine

In these prison walls of time

If you've seen me not that's fine

    Hope's roof is sheen-less glass

Time is warden of it all

    Of alfalfa and tall grass

    Passages through hidden walls

What I am is All, but false

Fall like shingles from a rotten roof

Shades of gold to be undone

The splendor of the setting sun's

All I've done is not, but true.

  • My first free form poem, is it any good?

    "A Chaotic Thought"

"For beyond the measure of the infinite and absolution, there exists a graceful calm that exceeds mind. This is where dreams are made realities, through subconscious creation, the divine workshop of the soul, and the experience of spontaneous existence."
