5 AnswersScanners1 decade agoNeed help writing program with fortran, really stuck.?
The input to the program will consist of the name of the month followed by two integers, the day number and the 4-digit year number. The output will be a single string containing the converted date in the format of dd/mm/yy. For instance, if the input is September 21 2005, the output will be 21/09/05.
The program starts by prompting for and reading the date. Next, it checks if the month is valid and the day for the given month is valid.
(Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Aug, Oct and Dec have 31 days; the rest have 30 days, except Feb with 28 and in a leap year 29 days). For the purpose of this program we accept the simplified rule that a leap year is a multiple of 4, irrespective of the century.
If the date is found to be illegal, an appropriate message will be printed and the program will prompt for another date input.
A legal date will be converted and stored in a single string, which will then be printed. The program now will ask the users if they want to convert another date. If the reply is Y, the process described above will be repeated. If the reply is N, the program will stop.
Generate a printout of the source code and an execution log containing at least 10 runs including the verification that an illegal date is recognized and dealt with.
