I know design is everywhere and everybody knows how to create one. But some people are really good at it. I really admire those people because, obviously, I'm not one of them. What I want to know is if there is a rule in making a GOOD design? Is there any "general principles" in creating a good design?

First of all, I need to say that I do not know much of JAVA, what I know is only the basics, so please let me know if my question is wrong.

I am creating a game using JAVA. I am planning to create an object which can take mouse events(both mouse clicks and mouse motions). That object should have an image property (with irregularly shaped transparent area), and if the non-transparent area detects a mouse event(such as mouse click) something will happen(like changing its image property). And also, I want to create many instances of that object in different location in a frame or window. How would I do that?

ok... so I have a hard time learning JAVA...

it is hard for me to learn its structure especially the inheritance..

I know some other programming language like C, visual basic...

and I know JAVA basics (including control structures and loops)...

what I don't understand in JAVA is how to create an object and how to integrate it to another class...

and also I don't know how to use JFrame (how to add objects to it using separate class)..

anyway, I need it for creating a game...

Can anyone please give me an example of a simple JAVA game using JFrame and has objects in it using separate class?...

Actually, I can't really explain myself clearly 'cause I don't know much of JAVA and I don't know what objects/imports(or whatever it may be) to use... so sorry for that guys, but I am willing to answer your questions about my problem... and if there is anything you need/want to know about it, I will be glad to provide it...

Yes, off course, google translate returns a result... but it doesn't translate the word "fights"...

Is it possible to send an SMS - using my MODEM in my computer - to the visitor of my web site when they sign up in it?

Note:

The location of the website (uploaded to a hosting site) is different from the location of he MODEM (in computer in my house). In short, the WEBSITE and the MODEM is in different computer/location

well, the problem is:

I want to provide a web site that has a login (and off course, sign up)...

then, I want to give the visitor who sign up here a confirmation code through SMS

then they will enter this code to be able to complete the sign up...

(just like yahoo and other websites)

the real problem is:

* I am using a modem to send SMS

* my website is uploaded/hosted in a free hosting site

QUESTION:

Is it possible to do that?

I know there is another way of sending SMS other than using modem, but it is needed to use this...
