  • What is best for my 8 year old cat?

I will be gone a month out of my state. I will be traveling by plane. Shall I take him with me or leave him with a very good friend who he knows very well. Either place will be very new to him. Driving by car, boarding at vet or having a in home pet sitter are not options for me. The place I’m staying will be nice and allows cats. My cat and I are very close and attached.

  • Should I say something to my manager?

I am a newly hired sales associate at a store in my mall and the policy there is to have no tattoos showing. I noticed more than a few co-workers not covering their tattoos and so I wasn't covering up a small one showing on my foot. My manager said I need to cover it with socks, makeup to have it not showing. I understood this policy but if the other employees don't cover up their tattoos I wasn't going to either. I don't think it's fair that she said something to me when she allows the other employees to not cover their tattoos. So I'm really agitated at this point and was wanting to know if you think I should mention something to the manager about the tattoo policy and the other employees not covering their tattoos and the fact that she mentioned me covering up mine?

  • What shall I charge for dog sitting in my home?

I will be dog sitting for a mature Sheltie for two weeks, in my home. Walks, feeding (of course), play time, cuddles and cleaning up after the dog, you know the usual. I do not have my own business, just a dog lover who enjoys watching and caring for other peoples dogs while they are away. I'm planning on charging per day for the care, but what charge shall I ask from the owner?

  • Is there any harm to humans when sharing the same utensil with their pet?

I let my cat lick the same spoon I am using while we share yogurt. He gets a very small amount. Is there truthfully any harm to me in doing this with my cat? He is healthy and is an indoor cat.

Note: I'm not asking if it's okay to give people food to my cat.

  • Should my mother reduce the price on her house?

My moms very nice, clean, 37 year old, 4 bedroom 2 bath home has been on the market for 4 weeks. We have had 12 lookers so far, a few very interested, and one offer, but that one decided to keep looking. My realtor thinks we might be ready to lower the price at this point. We would like to sell the house, but are not in a big hurry. Do you think she should reduce the price now or wait and if so, then when?

  • Should my daughter get 2 new tires or 4 for her car?

The back tires are in pretty good shape with enough tread on them to not need replacement yet. But the two front ones could stand to be replaced. Can she just move the two back tires to the front, and buy two new matching ones for the back? The car is a 2000 SXT Dodge Neon with front wheel drive (I think).

  • How much will shocks cost for my daughters car?

My daughter has a 2000 Dodge SXT Neon with 99,000 miles. I know its way past time for new shocks on her car, it's never had new ones, and I can tell they need to be replaced. How much will she have to spend?

  • What would do in this situation or what do you think?

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly 3 years and plan to spend the rest of our lives together as we love each other very much. We are both divorced and in our early 50's. I have two grown independent daughters and he has one grown (nearly independent) and the other is age 14. The 14 year old lives with her mother and stepfather and in the same town as my boyfriend does. My boyfriend and I plan to get a place together in the future, when, I'm not sure. Practically our entire relationship we have seen each other every other Wednesday evening and every weekend because the other times he has parental duty with the 14 year old. We live about 40 minutes apart. I am ready to live together full time, and start a life together in a new place and stop living separately. My boyfriend is not because he feels he can't leave his 14 year daughter and the town they live in together. I tell him you can still be a dad to your daughter, love her just the same, that will never change and us live together in my town (which is where we agree to live in the future and NOT in the small town he lives in.) So here is my question/concern. I'm frustrated and I do understand him wanting to be near his daughter but don't you think he also needs to start thinking of us being together full time? I know all about the "children come first" thing, but like a said, he can still be a dad and we can live together. I tell him lots of noncustodial parents make it work with a new partner when kids are involved if they really want to be together more and live together then they can make it work. I'm not being selfish, just frustrated and need others thoughts and opinions on this issue.

  • What sort of farewell office party should I let my department have for me?

I have worked in the same department for a 4 year university for 22 years. I am moving on to something completely different within a different department. I couldn't be more happy or excited. I have told my current department that I do not one a large farewell party or any surprises or fuss. I don't mean to be rude, but they still would like to do something for me. Truthfully I just don't want much of anything except personal words upon my departure as my last day approaches. I'm just like that. I'm trying to think of something more to say for what they can do for me but can't come up with anything. What would you suggest? And please don't say LET THEM THROW YOU A BIG PARTY!

  • Which email address should I use on my resume?

I have read and heard different opinions about this. Some say don't list your work email and then others say don't list a personal email because it could be sorta silly or unprofessional. In my personal email it reveals my age, well my birth year, sorta......61, which I'm sure any intelligent person could figure that out. But then I read your not supposed to list anything pertaining to revealing your age. So which email should I use, my current employer one or my personal? And by the way, it doesn't matter that my employer knows I'm looking for other work.

  • Why is my pregnant co-worker eating so much?

Okay, this is stupid, cause I really know the answer, but I just gotta get some other peoples opinions. A naive (in more ways than one) 21 year old co-worker of mine is 2 months pregnant, supposedly. Anyways, ever since she found out she was pregnant she has been eating non stop! She eats every chance she can....breaks, lunch, at her desk, and out of her drawer which is full of bags of snacky junk. Not much healthy eating that I see. I understand she has a growing baby, and the old saying "she is eating for two now" but GEEZ, come on! She isn't even showing yet and the baby ain't no bigger than a little pea pod growing in her. So my question is....why is she eating so much right now, so early on!?

  • Heavy duty hand cream for men?

My boyfriend has very dry, irritated peeling skin on his hands from wearing heavy duty gloves when welding at his job. He's thinking the gloves soak up the natural oils of his hands. He has been to a doctor for this but that didn't help. Is there a excellent type of hand lotion for men to use? What would you recommend?

  • What caused my dog to grow more hair?

My 13 year old Boston Terrier had always had issues with no hair on the underside of her body, from under the chin all the way to her end. But over the past few months she has much hair grow in that area. It is thick and healthy. Sorta of weird though. I mean it's great, cause she should have hair there, but why after all her years of life? My boyfriend said it's because she has been enjoying spending alot more time outdoors in the fenced in back yard, which she enjoys very much, and that since her body is outside more it somehow was told to grow more hair. Weird but I guess anything is possible. What do you think about that too?

  • Help with my dog peeing on my carpet?

I have a 13 year old female boston terrier who has been having pee accidents on my carpet and rugs. I have put her in a diaper which she uses if it stays on her, but half the time she some how has gotten out of the diaper by the time I get back home. I also really hate to put them on her, probably as much if not more than she likes wearing them. What do you think of the Potty Patch or Training Pads? She has some favorite spots to pee, but mostly it's where ever she chooses so I would think the patch and pads would only work half the time. I can't imagine filling my entire room with them! I am getting my carpet professionally cleaned tomorrow and would really like to keep it clean and free of dog urine, at least as much as possible. Ideas or suggestions?
