  • How long can an Employer expect you to stay after your shift?

    I work in a call centre on the late shift so my shift ends when the call centre shuts (8pm). However if I have a customer on the line I am expected to stay on the call "as long as it takes". I do not receive overtime or time off in lieu for this and we are not allowed to tell the customer that the call has gone past closing time My brother claims this illegal - is he right?

  • Anyone know what song this is?

    Last year someone quoted some song lyrics in work. I can't remember them exactly and it's driving me crazy!

    I know the song was by Don Henley and the lyrics were very similar to Five for Fighting's "Superman (It's not easy)".
