  • Neighbor is using my well, it's not in my deed that they have a right to it. If it's on their deed, do they?

I bought the house last year. We were not told that the neighbor was using the well on my property. They obviously are not well off so we never pushed the issue. Their property is too small to put a well on because it would be too close to the septic. We have since had to replace a well pump. They claimed they would when they have it but never gave us money towards that or the electricity we are paying to pump their water.

This has really been a non issue until over the weekend they hung a deer from their tree, directly in front of my house/along side my driveway... And proceeded to butcher it. The blood is now in my yard.

I'm a huge animal lover, I became a vegetarian as a child. I cannot describe the reaction I had to this. Couldn't sleep/eat. They weren't even quick about it, it was left up overnight. There are packs of coyote, bobcats and bear around these woods.

I spoke to them and let them know how much this upset me. I kindly asked if he could find somewhere else to do this. A friend's, family property I know they have, put up a shed, do it in the woods. Anywhere but in the open literally in front of my house.

He does not have that kindness, he said he'd 'try not to'

It has been out of the kindness of my heart he has water, and he can't repay that kindness?

A lawyer looked at my deed and they have no right of way to my well.

Could his deed change this? I can't look it up right now because covid everything is closed.

If he hangs a deer again I want to turn his water off

  • Do you think it's okay to butcher a deer in your yard hanging from a tree where neighbors can clearly see it?

Legally, yes, I know. Just want to know how that sits with others.

  • Democrat or Republican?

I'm curious, there are endless passive aggressive questions aiming at putting liberals and Democrats down. Not so many the other way around.

Just honestly want to know if this site is mostly conservatives or if conservatives are just more likely to post such things.

Not starting a stupid debate here.... 1 word answer is fine. You should all know by now you won't change someone's mind in an online discussion. Satisfy my curiosity please.

  • What should I say when an employee is calling off? I m a pushover...?

When my employees call off sick I give a simple feel better answer and that s that. Now though I feel it is being taken advantage of, especially by my younger ones that work evening shift. If they don t show I have to go back to work, not fun.

Today I went home early and one of my full timers answered the phone when a night kid was calling off. He literally told her no, there s noone here to cover you (he didn t want to stay late) and she showed up!!

Obviously I m not going to flat out say no, but what are some things I can say to get them to rethink calling off when I don t think they really need to?

  • Am I being a bridezilla?

My to be mother in law very excidly presented me with a cake topper for my upcoming wedding.

Being a professional cake decorator I m planning on making my own cake with very elegant designs in mind.

She was so thrilled about this topper that she thought was perfect....but it s just so....tacky.

It s literally salt and pepper shakers, a guy and a girl that don t have the right hair color, and are in tie dye hippie gear as we are both quite a bit hippy.

They re cute but, I feel it would ruin my cake.

Am a being terrible if I don t use them? I don t want to hurt her but I also don t want to have to downplay my cake to match a topper I don t like
