I wanna order new prescription glasses online... lost my rx. Any sites where I can mail in old glasses?
I want a few new cheapo pairs of glasses, just to have around... I lost my prescription and I'm having a terrible time getting in contact with the last eye doctor that I saw. Are there any glasses websites where I can send in an old pair so that they can duplicate my prescription on a new pair of specks? I'm not quite due for an eye exam.
3 AnswersOptical8 years agoWhat is a good exercise/diet plan for my body type and goals?
I'm 120 lbs at 5'2", but I have a serious case of "skinny fat girl" syndrome :p Tummy pooch, cellulite on my butt and thighs, etc. I'm a bit curvy and I like that about myself, but I'd really like to tone up. I joined the gym a while back but never really had a set routine... I'd just do the elliptical or stair stepper (can't do the treadmill because of arthritis in my knees), then do a little here and there on all the strength training machines. I didn't keep at it long enough to see progress, I still have my membership but my work schedule became pretty intense... so I had to put it on the back burner.
Anyway, while looking at all the hot girls on my Facebook friends list whom I secretly hate (haha), I decided "HEY, it's a 24/7 gym... I WILL make time to go once again AND reach my goals!" I started going back a couple weeks ago, but once again, just floating aimlessly around the gym. I really need a good plan to follow to get my butt in gear.
Also, any eating advice would be appreciated. I work 10-12 hour shifts at a pharmacy, we're always busy, so I find myself 1. not eating much all day or 2. gorging myself on chips, candy and Mtn Dew. I just wanna find a good balance so I can look good and feel good.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoHow can I get a doctor to prescribe phentermine for me?
I'm not overweight but I'd really like to prevent it. I'm 5'2" and I weigh 120 lbs, however, I used to weigh 90-100 lbs for years. I was very happy, then suddenly a couple summers ago I jumped up to 120. I used to be able to eat whatever I want and never gain a pound, but now I can SMELL food and it seems like I put on weight lol. I try to eat healthy and exercise 3-4 days a week, but I seriously crave food from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed. I'm not as strict on myself as I should be, and some days I eat way more than others... I'm truly just miserable on days I deny myself food cravings.
This worries me because I have a few female family members who became obese... and they all started out really small. I seriously have trouble controlling my appetite, despite lifestyle changes. I have several friends who have done really well on phentermine, but it seems like all the weight loss clinics require you to be overweight to get it. Overweight at my height is 135-140, but I do have a small bone structure. I know a girl with my measurements who went to a weight loss clinic and demanded phentermine, and reluctantly they gave her half the standard prescription... unfortunately we had a falling out and I can't really ask her where she went.
I'm really desperate, I've tried several OTC diet pills, and for the most part I'm doing everything right. I just want to stop craving bad food once and for all and I really would like to try phentermine. Any suggestions on how to obtain it?
2 AnswersWomen's Health9 years agoWhat is the best website to sell women's clothing?
I have tons and tons of very good clothing and accessories that I either no longer like or can no longer wear. They're in good condition and I need a little extra cash, not looking to quit my job or anything though... just wanting to clean out my closet and have a little extra spending money. I have sold items on eBay before but wanna know if there are better options out there. I have thought about selling on style.ly... should I try something new or just stick with eBay?
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoAny legit debt consolidation companies out there?
I made A LOT of mistakes when I first turned 18, with credit cards, phone contracts I wasn't able to keep, etc. I've worked a string of low-paying jobs since then, I'm 24 and finally making decent money for what I do, and I really wanna get out of debt. My credit score is low, I have about $4000 worth of debt spread over five cards and two old cell phone bills that I haven't paid. My cards all have high interest rates, and I'm really wanting to consolidate.
I have applied for loans with OneMain and Springleaf and they denied me. I have looked into other debt consolidation companies and they don't seem legit. I REALLY wanna pay all this stuff off in one payment every month, that way I can actually get a nicer car one day, or buy a home. I don't have anyone who could cosign for me btw. I work two jobs but I just moved somewhere with a higher cost of living than I was used to... I just wanna get this monkey off my back and any and all help is appreciated! I do not want to use a payday loan/loan shark or any place like that with outrageous interest neither. Thanks guys!
5 AnswersCredit9 years agoI'm a hair stylist, wondering if I will EVER find the right salon?
I have been doing hair three years now... for the first year, I worked at a salon located inside Walmart and HATED it. It was nice having job security and being busy all the time, but the rules were horrible... and I often got treated horribly by customers, I guess they didn't think they had to take me seriously because I worked inside the Walmart. I didn't care, I just thought of it as a place to start out.
After that first year, a friend hooked me up with a job at a private salon. I made 50% commission, but if I had a slow day, I just didn't make any money... awesome on my busy days though. I loved getting to come and go as I pleased, wearing whatever I wanted to, not having to worry about getting written up for something dumb, etc.
Then I had to move... I wasn't familiar with my new town, so I just put in an application at the first chain salon I came up to. It's definitely more flexible than the Walmart hair salon, and the rules we have actually make sense and are easy to follow. The dress code is fairly flexible, and my customers tip well usually. My problem is, I don't make very much money aside from tips. We get paid hourly, and it goes up depending on goals we meet... but the goals are set REALLY high. Some days we're slammed from opening to closing, some days we see a handful of people. I feel like I work my butt off but have nothing to show for it.
I wanna hear from other stylists, what is the best type of salon to work for, and how do you make the most money? It's really lame having gone to school for something, only to make just a couple dollars more than minimum wage, but I can't see myself doing ANYTHING else for a living (I'm a pharmacy tech on the side, and I love it, but hair was my first love!)
3 AnswersHair9 years agoBest indoor tanning lotions for face and body?
I've been a seasonal tanner on and off for years. I don't want any lectures about how dangerous it is, just some product suggestions from other indoor tanners :)
I have no problem getting my body to tan, but my face absolutely refuses to. I have to wear SPF 15 on my face (I use the Olay for sensitive skin every morning, and lately I've been using Jergens Natural Glow for my face but I'm not sure how I feel about it) before I tan no matter how many times I lay. I'm looking for a good accelerator/maximizer for my body (no bronzers please, I wanna be able to tell how my color is developing without them) and a good facial tanning lotion WITH bronzers. I really like the Playboy line, I've used the Glam black bronzer, Party at the Mansion, VIP at the Mansion, etc... I used a sample pack of their Glow Girl (no bronzers, just accelerators) and liked the smell, but it was way back when I first started tanning for the year/still in my burning phase. It was a 10 minute session so that didn't give me a chance to tell whether or not I liked it. Has anyone else used it long term and gotten good results? I just wanna use something plain on my body and something with color on my face that way everything can catch up and I won't be embarrassed to go makeup-free!
1 AnswerOther - Skin & Body9 years agoI have an embarrassing serious question regarding constipation?
I am very constipated. I haven't had a bowel movement in a few days, and I'm used to going every morning or every other morning. I haven't changed my eating habits or anything lately, I've always sorta alternated between eating really healthy and eating junk. Today at work, I attempted to poo twice... the first time, absolutely nothing would come out no matter how hard I strained. The second time, I took some toilet paper and actually pulled some of the fecal mattter out... it's VERY hard but spongy. Sorry to gross anyone out, just wanna be as specific as I can. It smelled horrible too, I know, all poop stinks... but this was VERY very unusual stool for me.
I'm going to the store to get a laxative/stool softener... but they honestly scared me. I've taken bisacodyl womens laxatives a couple times in the past, and those are hell on my system. I had to call into work the last time I took one, it was like I had a stomach virus. What would be the most gentle, effective product to get? I'm thinking about a fiber supplement too.
3 AnswersOther - General Health Care9 years agoBest swimsuits for small but curvy girls?
I'm 5'2" and 120-125 lbs, 34C bra... little bit of a tummy, booty and thighs. I typically wear a 5 or 7 in jeans. I'm 24 years old and from age 13 until just a couple years ago, I weighed between 90-100 lbs and felt comfortable in little string bikinis. Now that I'm older and gaining a more "womanly" physique, I'd like to try a different style of swimwear. I want something flattering and NOT teenybopper looking but still young and fun. LINKS PLEASE! Also, I despise those "monokinis", I feel like Snooki in them hahaha. Thanks guys!
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoWhy is it "hot" for females to be covered in tattoos and piercings?
I just want opinions, male and female. I happen to have stretched earlobes, that I've had forever, but I never plan on getting any other piercings or tattoos. My ears were very thought out and stretched by-the-book, and it was really an exercise in gaining self-discipline for me... and plugs come in WAY cooler varieties than standard earrings :p
It just seems to me, especially on Facebook, the ONLY hot look for females is the Suicide Girl/Kat Von D sorta thing. Don't get me wrong, there ARE pretty girls with tattoos and I'm NOT dissing anyone with them... especially artistic, meaningful ones. I'm just wanting opinions.
11 AnswersTattoos9 years agoJust applied for college... taking pharmacy school pre-req's. What to expect?
After much deliberation, I decided to enroll in the local community college in hopes to attend pharmacy school in a few years. I graduated from high school in 2006 but did not do very well, not because I wasn't smart, just because I was in that high school depression/"I just want outta this hellhole" phase of my life and didn't try. I took a few general ed college classes in 2006-2007 (in which I actually did pretty well) then decided I wanted to go to beauty school... I've been working as a hair stylist for three years, and I truly enjoy it.
I have been thinking about pharmacy school for quite some time, and I have actually been working inside a pharmacy for the past few months, when my schedule as a hair stylist allows it. I enjoy both environments, I just want a better paying job.
Here are the requirements for the pharmacy school I would like to attend:
http://www.acp.edu/index.php/admissions/requiremen...
I know this has been quite wordy so far, but I just wanna know what I should expect from my pre-pharmacy program. Will the fact that I didn't do well in high school hinder my progress? I've matured a lot since then and WILL actually sit down and learn any and all material that I need, I just wonder where I missed out on the "basics" if that's gonna hurt me. Which classes are the most difficult? Any helpful websites? Thanks!
