I have a SR-4 M-16 AEG and when i take it off safe after putting on a new fully charged battery and try to fire I will hear the internals shift but it won't fire and also when I was removing the battery I noticed that the wires were hot any advice and or suggestions on how to rectify the problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have started up a tank not even a month ago and they keep on dying and the new ones i get to replace the dead ones die to so far only my pleco has not died. The water is cloudy and replacement filters are put in they are filled with white gunk I made sure to rinse off EVERYTHING before I put them in, I have had fish for years but never before has this happened. Any suggestions on what I can do please?
