Question about vehicle loans?
What options do you have when you wish to get rid of your second vehicle, but you still owe more than it is worth?
3 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoDinner ideas, Chicken breast?
I have boneless skinless chicken breast ready to cook for dinner tonight. My husband feels that chicken without the skin isn't worthy of being called chicken. He says that the chicken is always too dry.
I love it....but want to find a happy medium.
Does anyone have suggestions for a juicy, flavorful way to cook this chicken so he will enjoy it too?
Thanks
10 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoSwitching to cloth diapers....any tips?
I have decided that in effort to fix my budget and stay at home instead of going back to work that I will switch to cloth.
I have learned how to make my own and inherited some from friends. Have just started using more frequently and baby seems to be quite comfortable this way. She is 11 months and wiggly so it's quite a learning curve....
Does any one have any good advice, tips relating to cloth diapering that might be helpful?
Thanks
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoHave you ever found that temptation of an affair helped spice up your marriage?
I have been with my husband for 13 years, though we have only been married for 3. 2 years ago, I had been talking to a client through email at work and one thing led to another, which led to meeting, which led to great temptation. He really pushed my buttons and we were both very interested in taking another step.
He is married also.
But we never did anything more than speak about it. Never even kissed or anything. It just seemed that having the thought of him, the thrill of the attraction and the fantasies that could come from it, really turned my marital sex life around. It been quite some time since we decided to remove the temptation, and we very occasionally will email back and forth now.
I think that it "revs my engine" so to speak, when I know someone else finds me attractive and the time with my husband afterwards is phenomenal!
So, is it cheating in any way?? I'm not doing anything and I know the guy is doing the same thing in his own marriage. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I don't want to do anything with this other man, and won't. But I enjoy the effect on my self esteem and sex life at home.
Your thoughts?
7 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHow often do you find time to have a real shower?
I am giggling through the responses here and purely for the sake of curiousity, not judgment...
How often do you really find time to have a proper shower?
Shave your legs?
I think I get in the shower about twice a week at least, and I manage to make time to shave my legs when it's long enough to make my socks itch!!
11 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat makes you decide to go for #4?
I am just wondering. Hubby and I are discussing vasectomy and such and still wondering why many people will have a fourth. Is there a good reason for it that we might not be thinking of?
For parents of 4+ ...
How far apart in age are your kids?
Would you do anything different?
Is it really just an extension of the usual adjusting from 3 to 4 kids?
10 AnswersParenting1 decade agoCanadian car seat questions - forward or rear facing?
I have a 8.5 month old who is quickly outgrowing our infant car seat. I just checked the next stage convertible car seat and the weight limit for rear facing is the same as the infant seat, and it says I would have to have it forward facing. I also know that she is not supposed to be forward facing until one year, regardless of height or weight.
Does anyone have any suggestions or info? I really can't justify a new car seat for a couple months as I also own a 5 point/booster already that she is not big enough for.
What do I do when she is too big for one and too small for the other?
I know, I know, safety first and all that but that's not a small $$ investment for only a few months!!
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoNot a very good cook but want to learn?
Does anyone know any good websites or cookbooks for a rookie? I have never been the cook in our house but am now at home on mat leave and want to see my family of 5 eating healthier.
I have a 6 mo. old also so my time gets somewhat limited.
12 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHow do you get your kids school to communicate regularly?
I have had problems with DS's school communicating with me. I have to physically walk in to the class room and ask the teacher if there were any problems. I sent him to a seperate diagnostic type school in a rehab hospital to see if there were any learning disabilities, behavior issues etc. In a follow up visit with the hospital/school he attended, the teacher there was informed of a major meltdown recently. This was the first I heard of it, from an entirely different staff, not my ds current teacher, his OLD one! We have a history here of troubles, I have done everything the school has asked of me. I am not an aggressive mom, I am not being a pain. ( I have seen others who are) I don't cause a scene, I don't blame the teacher for his troubles. And I don't intend to RE-punish something that has been dealt with. I only want to know when it happens. This way I can see if there are things at home affecting school, or perhaps adjust bedtimes...etc. I want him to get the most of his education, as well as the kids in his class.
I felt frustrated when this started last year, when the behavior became daily instead of only occasionally. I didn't know it was even happening and then BANG he's this highly disruptive student who has stacks of incomplete assignments. First I addressed Homework...isn't that work that needs to be done, that didn't get done in class? Isn't that how we learn to GET it done in class? Once I started emailing with the teacher (nearly everyday) ds understood that I DO know whats going on and he will not get away with this, and the behavior improved.
I asked for an email address for the current teacher and gave her mine, suggesting this way maybe she can send a note when it is convenient for her and not have a line up of parents to talk to everynight. (there are many 'disruptive' children in the class.) I have not received an email, address or any other notes what so ever. I am sure to walk in to the school to pick my son up, I look for a signal from the teacher or ask her how the day was if she has a moment. So far I have got no concerns. No Troubles. Great Day....etc.
Can they really discuss my child like this without FIRST giving ME the information?
Am I being unreasonable to want to know what's going on?
What do I do next? How do I get them to tell me what's going on? I don't want to find out from other sources.
Please help, any advice....
