1 AnswerPsychology8 years agorolling motion doubt........?
why in pure rolling motion force of friction is less than the sliding friction . what does that mean. plz elaborate .
1 AnswerPhysics8 years agoRotational motion boubt..................?
this is a question in my book -
A rotating disc moves in the positive direction of x axis . find the equation y (x) (y as a function of x) describing the position of the instantaneous axis of rotation if at the initial moment center c of the dis was located at the point O after which it moved with constant velocity v while the disc started rotating anti clockwise with a constant angular accelaration a . the initial angular velocity is 0.
my question is how could it be possible for rolling motion in which translation or linear velocity is in +ve x axis and rotation in anti clockwise acc to me it should be clockwise . in order to roll. plz first give full explanation of this answer and then the answer of my book question. plzzz help me out.
1 AnswerAstronomy & Space8 years agoRolling motion doubt....................?
i have seen a picture in which tge sphere is is in rolling motion where its center of mass has translation velocity v in the positive x axis and its rotation was in anticlockwise rotation . im confused and i have a question that its linear motion is +ve x axis but its rotation in anticlockwise on ground will cause motion in -ve x axis plz help me to understand this thing
2 AnswersEngineering8 years agoim confused in gravitational potential energy?
what does 0 potential means?
can we solve questions on surface of earth by taking 0 potential at Infinity?
suppose the object in on earth surface and is elevated to a ht 'H' then why do we choose earth surface having 0 potential energy and what does it mean? and suppose i consider 0 level of potential at infinity the ball is brought directly to the ht h above the earth surface. then i think its p.e would be U = -GmM/(r+h) but if we consider 0 potential on surface of earth then potential energy is mgh ?
i confused in all these thingh plzz help me out .
3 AnswersPhysics8 years agodifference in velocity and speed in circular motion?
in uniform circular motion what does constant speed implies
and if there is constant speed then what does changing velocity implies does that mean velocity magnitude is changing as direction is changing???? im confuse as im considering that velocity have magnitude constant as speed is constant and direction is changing so how can it be accelerated radially ??? plaease solve this problem with easy understanding method.
