Im not in recovery, but am studying to be an addictions counselor currently. I feel like an outsider who cant fit in. I have always been interested in this population and have always wanted to work with it, but since i have not been a part of this population, i am starting to feel like i have no place here. It is very discouraging.. should addiction counselors be in recovery to be good?

I can't stop thinking about him and I even started crying cuz I miss him so much even if I just saw him a few hours ago. Iv thought about our future together and he likes me too. I have a friend who doesn't really care about school:/ I don't know if I should help him pass his classes or if I should tutor him or what. He's a sophomore and I'm a junior so iv already had a lot of his classes before. So it won't be too hard to help but I don't know if that would just be nosy or not. Should I just let him figure it out? And drop out if he wants to?

my dogs paw hurt so, i tried to see what was wrong with it, and he bit me because i guess he didnt want me touch it. well, he bit me and cracked my nail from the middle. you know the part thats pink? well that. he also broke the skin and it hurts. will my nail fix itself and if so what should i do until then? it stopped bleeding a bit ago. should i wash it with soap now or what?
