I am writing an essay comparing "To an Athlete Dying Young" and "Do not go Gentle into that Good Night". I just wanted to know what you guys thought. (P.S. there is a one page maximum, that is why it is so short)

“To an Athlete Dying Young” and “Do Not go Gentle into That Good Night” are two poems that share the theme of death. However, the two poems have a completely different outlook on it. “To an Athlete…” views death as an escape from the hardship of life, while “Do Not go Gentle…” views death as an inevitable end to the joy of life.

The two poems share quite a few similarities; the most evident is they both pertain to death. In addition, the subjects in both the poems died from illness, the athlete died from typhoid, the father died from cancer. Both these poems were written about someone close to the poet. Adalbert Jackson was the athlete who died, and he was the best friend of Hoffman. Beyond these similarities, however, they both have a very different meaning.

The primary difference in these two poems is the way they view death. Hoffman views death has a rescue from the hardships and misfortune that are found in life. He says that Adalbert was smart for dying so young. Adalbert died at his peak, because of this he never saw his records broken, he never saw his fame fade. The second most significant difference is the age of the person dying. Adalbert was very young when he died, hence the title. Thomas’ father, however was much older. The third differences is that “To an Athlete…” was written after the death of his friend, “Do Not go Gentle…” was written just before his father’s death.

“Do not go Gentle” was originally published in 1951, a year before the death of Thomas’ father in 1952. What his means is that Thomas is still living through the sorrow and sadness that come with death and illness. This is a sharp contrast to Hoffman who wrote the poem a full 4 years after the death of his friend. This could be the reason why Hoffman is less sorrowful in his poem. He had a chance to think over his friend’s death and see the silver lining. I would be willing to bet Hoffman didn’t feel so positive about his closest friend’s death the day after he died. Thomas viewed death as an ongoing struggle, which is why he encourages his father to “rage…” In Thomas’ eyes, death was an evil force that was fighting his father, attempting to take his father away from him.

I just bought a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 250 imported from Japan. I was wondering where I can get some replacement fairings for it for a custom design. Also, is it possible to put farings for newer kawasakis on my old one? I have access to a machine shop and can trip to fit if needed, I am just wondering how much work I am looking at.

I am trying to remove my graphics card from my computer. I uninstalled the graphics card drivers and removed the graphics card. I tried to boot it up and it is just stuck at the starting windows screen. I can put it back in and it works fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a good low budget rifle. I would like to spend roughly $300. I would like it to be 30-06 or .270. I will mainly be using it for target shooting, and possibly some deer hunting. So far, I have looked at the stevens model 200. It seems great, but I am not sure about several things. For one, I am not sure if I actually NEED 30-06 or if .270 would be fine. I am not sure if .270 is good enough for hunting. I also want to know if there is any place I can get it for a lower price. At Cabelas, it is $320. I think that is a bit much. Any advice for the caliber, or any suggestions for different guns will be apreciated.

Any advice? I don't want to spend to much over 500. Right now it is 514 total. I want to know if this is good enough to run most modern games at a decent FPS. I also don't to upgrade every other month. Any advice will be accepted.

I am looking for a decent graphics card for gaming. I want it to be the best it can be for the price. I want to spend around $100. If it is cheaper and can still offer great performance, even better.
