Over the past 2 months my son, who has always been my good sleeper, has started having horrible nightmares. He wakes up screaming (not crying, screaming) and when I get to him, he is shaking from fear. I do not think he is having night terrors because he is alert when I get to him and will actually look around his room at shadows and say "look mommy, look'- I have to turn the light on to show him the shadow is a book or one of his trains. This isn't an every night occurrence but it is happening 3 or so times a week. However, EVERY night he is now afraid to go to bed. Before this started, we would barely make it through his prayers and he would already be saying 'bed mommy'. Now it takes at least an hour to get him into his bed.

I am at wits end and am exhausted. I don't know how to break this cycle.

Can anyone offer suggestions? Please?

Has any mom out there had a positive experience w/Children's Zyrtec? All I have read is negative...I am pretty freaked out now and don't want to give it to my daughter (even though the nurse recommended it). She needs some allergy relief but I am not willing to exchange her cough and drainage for all the side-effects I have read about. She is 4 years old...any suggestions???

I feed my Fowlers Toads waxworms from time to time- when not eaten, how long can the worm live in the tank? Can it survive through the worm phase long enough to turn into a moth (while in the tank)?
