Obey me or go to hell. Love, god
What's with christians who try to deny that their religion is fear-based?
Maybe there are some christians out there who don't believe in hell; If you do believe hell is a real place where people go for eternal torture, then how can you think it's not a fear-based religion?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy does god create boys with a foreskin if he just wants us to remove it?
Isn't that a total waste of time? Is there like a union of angels that get paid by the foreskin and they have a powerful enough lobby in heaven to strong-arm god into continuing to create them?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually Surveying: How many people believe you can contact a spirit or demon using a Ouija Board?
If you could also say whether you are christian, muslim, atheist, etc., that would be great.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoShouldn't these scumbags get more than 16 months in jail?
http://www.myfoxaustin.com/dpps/news/dpgapx-ore-fa...
For non-linkers, the gist is this couple believes in faith healing and let their son die when simple medical attention could have prevented it. They were sentenced to 16 months.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agochristians which kind of person upsets you more?
1. Atheists - people who don't believe in any kind of deity.
or
2. Other people who call themselves christians like you, have just as much "faith" as you, but think you are going to hell because you don't practice their version of christianity.
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many religions were designed just to help guys get laid?
It seems a very common theme in most of the religions we call "cults". And let's not forget that islam and christianity are both big on women obeying men without question.
And here is a perfect example of a guy trying to get laid ( with what I can only assume is an underage girl) using wicca:
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHey Kosher Jews, is a milkshake kosher?
I was reading a book and in it a character tried to order a milkshake at a Kosher Deli and the waitress said it wasn't Kosher. Is that true? If so, why?
Thanks.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is god so bad at what he does?
If one religion is the right one, all the others are wrong. That means the vast majority of the world will end up in hell (or whatever). So why can't god get a better return rate on his investment? If he was a bank we would've had to have bailed him out thousands of years ago.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRational people only?
Which of these is more stupid:
1. Thinking you have the ability to cast spells
or
2. Thinking you have the ability to telepathically communicate with an invisible being who lives in the sky (praying).
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agochristians - It's a christmas miracle!?
All gays have turned straight and all unbelievers have become christian! Now the question is:
How will you channel all the hate you have in your hearts? Will you go back to opposing interracial marriage like your parents did?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWill you christians really laugh if you are right and the billions of non-christians burn in hell?
A chrisitian gave this answer to another question:
"funny thing is, when [sic] your burning in hell we will be the ones laughing"
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAnybody still think the Hindu religion is harmless?
They are currently sacrificing 250,000 animals to appease their multi-armed monkey gods.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/nov/24/hindu-...
There is no such thing as a harmless religion.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs aetheist ever the "correct" spelling?
This Aussie got all high and mighty about the "proper" spelling of atheist when I chided him for spelling it "aetheist". He claimed (read this with a snooty Australian accent) :
"American Aethiest, [not my screen-name regardless of spelling, but whatever]
In Australia, we use proper English spelling. I prefer it.
e.g. Colour (Color), Favourite, (Favorite), Realise (Realize), Traveller (Traveler), Theatre (Theater).
American spelling just looks lazy."
I have seen all those other words spelled his way many times. I have never seen atheist spelled aetheist. I think he is lying to cover his mistake. Does anybody know the truth?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoLet's hear it for the Mormons!?
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5...
As an atheist I am encouraged to see a group of christians not using the bible to support hatred and bigotry. Go Mormons!
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agochristians, do you get scared around halloween?
I mean, since many of you actually believe in spirits and demons and other superstitious nonsense.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agochristians, do you know in what year. . .?
. . .or even what era god stopped actively proving his existence? I mean back in the day he used to do things that nobody could question as proof of his existence. (appearing as a pillar of fire before thousands of people, turning an entire body of water red with blood, flooding all parts of the world at the same time, turning people into pillars of salt, carrying a guy to heaven on a chariot of fire, etc,etc etc.) Then all of sudden he quit doing stuff like that. So approximately when did this happen?
For example, if god had killed every first born male German when the nazis were exterminating the jews (the same way he did with the Egyptians, and they were just holding the jews as slaves not even exterminating them) there wouldn't be any atheists today, or very few atheists at least.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf the bible is the infallible, unerring word of god. . .?
how come there are thousands of different interpretations? If god is truly all-powerful he could easily have created a book that can't be misinterpreted. Instead there are hundreds of different versions of christianity, and they all interpret the bible differently. Is god trying to trick some people into going to hell by making the bible hard to understand? Here is a (very) short list of groups who read the same book and interpret it in very different ways:
catholics, calvinists, lutherans, baptists, methodists, jehovah's witnesses, 7th day adventists, mennonites, quakers, shakers, evangelicals, pentecostals, presbyterians, episcopals, congregational, anglican, apostolic, amish, mormons, jews for jesus, eastern orthodox, coptic, esoteric, nazarene, wesleyan. . .
Phew! I am out of breath and there are still hundreds of versions I didn't get to.
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, do you really believe this?
"Just face it, without GOD in your lives you people don't have a proper moral compass or barometer. You can deny HIM, but wishful thinking won't make HIM go away.
If GOD didn't exist, everyone would be a murderer, a rapist, and a criminal. GOD's moral laws bring harmony and order to the chaos of our savage natural state.
GOD bless you-
Captain Art Griego"
This was an answer given by a christian to this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgV26...
So, if you didn't believe in god would you really be out raping and killing? Because I don't believe and I don't do these things.
