4 AnswersTeaching1 decade agoWho feels they have a "calling" and would you like to share what it is?
Could talk about how you know it's a calling/ how it makes you feel/ how old were you when you followed your calling/ how it relates to what you were doing before/ do you still pursue this calling, etc.
By the way by calling I mean to a job/situation/direction in life
Thanks!
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoDo you think voters should have to pass a test showing they know the policies of the candidate they vote for?
Like a short, simple, test just to make sure that they actually know the policies of the candidate for whom they would like to vote. Why or why not? Also, assuming the test would be available in all of the necessary languages, including something for the illiterate.

3 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhat will it take for women to stop wearing make up? You can answer for yourself, or for women in general?
What characteristic will women have to have in order to generally stop wearing make up? Acceptance and bravery come to mind. What I'm looking for here is more along the lines of inner characteristics rather than physical attributes. Perfect skin, not aging, and eyes that naturally "pop" are not what I'm looking for as they are too perfect for us humans to actually acheive as a whole. So, in accepting that we make ourselves up to look differently, and not wearing make up would mean that these natural and different versions of ourselves would be what we show the world, what would it take to start a successful movement towards this?
Thanks!
14 AnswersGender Studies1 decade agoAny thoughts on whether women go to great lengths for their appearance to impress men, or their own gender?
I'm referring to (some) heterosexual women in this case. Specifically I'm thinking of cosmetics, cosmetic surgery and procedures, clothes, purses, hair, shoes, all sorts of beauty products, etc.
Thanks!

3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhy do we females still manipulate our natural appearance so much?
We shave, pluck, groom, paint our faces, squeeze into uncomfortably tight clothing daily. Is there any real good reason for doing this or is it damaging to our true selves and self-esteem? Does it just teach women and young girls that they are naturally unacceptable and have to change themselves to be acceptable to society? Is the next step towards equality accepting the natural appearance of our species? (I know men have similar issues and welcome discussion of those as well)
Thanks for your consideration!
