  • How can I force my homeowners association (HOA) to enforce HOA covenants?

Our HOA does not allow parking of commercial or recreational vehicles other than in a homeowner's garage. I bought in this subdivision BECAUSE it has an HOA and the HOA has parking rules.

Over the past year from time to time I've reported violations. Each time I do I'm given some excuse as to why the HOA cannot enforce the rule "just now." Some violations have been reported as many as six times and have been going on for well over one year.

Currently, the HOA is still under the developer's control. We have not elected a board and will not until they finish building and turn over the property. Meanwhile, the violations continue.

Is there anything I can do to force the HOA/developer to enforce the convenants we all agreed to live by? I can't afford to sue the board on my own, but if small claims court is a possibility, I'd be willing to make a case there.

Thanks in advance for your help and recommendations.

  • Can't even SEE attachments sent to me in Yahoo Mail?

All of a sudden when someone sends an attachment (simple Word doc) I can't even SEE that I have an attachment, leave alone open it. I even sent a .doc and a .jpg to myself to test it and still couldn't see them.

I'm using Windows 7, Chrome and Yahoo Mail (latest version, but it's not that new...) with Microsoft Security Essentials. I've made no changes recently. What's the problem? Is it me or Yahoo Mail? Thanks in advance for your answers.

  • Is there a universal hike difficulty rating system?

I've been searching the web for some hike rating definitions to fit the commonly used easy, moderate, difficult and strenuous descriptors. I've found a few sets of definitions, but they all differ from one another. Most cover distance and altitude gain, but I've found only one that also covers the ground conditions (scree, roots, scrambling and so on). Is there one universally accepted set of definitions or at least one that is most commonly used in the USA?

Thanks in advance for your response.

  • Is Yahoo Sending Emails to Verify Email Accounts? Or is this phishing?

Recently I've received three emails asking that I respond to verify my Yahoo email account. They say Yahoo wants to check if the accounts are still active to make space for new accounts. Especially because the emails are from non-yahoo accounts (e.g. sbcglobal.net) I think they're phishing. Am I right?

  • Yahoo email compromised, now can't get into Yahoo Answers acocunt! Any solutions?

A week or so ago I got an email from Yahoo saying their email accounts had been compromised. It asked everyone to check our email accounts, and it turns out the sub-account I used for Yahoo Answers was indeed compromised. It was a free account (since I'd been at AT&T customer for over 20 years) and it turns out that AT&T doesn't support free accounts, so they won't help me change the password and get back in. (Trust me... hours on the phone.)

That's bad enough, but to add insult to injury as a result of the compromised account and password I can't get into my regular Yahoo Answers account, where I had racked up over 8,000 points. Not that the points mean anything, but I'd just like to keep going with it.

Is there anywhere I can go for help to re-open my Yahoo Answers account under these circumstances? Everywhere I looked said there's basically no support for Yahoo Answers.

Thanks in advance for your help.
