  • Who would "marry" me and my fiance?

I recently got engaged to my girlfriend and we are trying to get married in July. I live in Kentucky and of course that is anything but legal here. We are wanting to have a ceremony type thing with someone to marry us for our familys sake and then go to CA or NJ and sign all the papers and make it official.

My question is do you have to have an actual priest or what kind of documentation makes it legal to marry someone? Sorry if this is confusing and thank you for any help!

  • What is a snorkel tube and how do I replace it?

About a month ago I took my car to get it's oil changed and they said that the "snorkel tube" was broken and it needed to be repaired. I have asked a lot of people and they've never heard of this tube before. I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire and ever since then my car has just been regressing and I feel like it's going to give out any day now.

Does any one know what this is or how I can fix it?

  • Looking for a pet friendly house/apt in Nashville, TN.?

I currently live in KY and don't know a whole lot about Nashville as far as living there goes. I am looking to move there soon once I can find a job and I'm looking for somewhere that has a good pet policy. I'm willing to pay a deposit. I have a toy poodle (6lbs), a chihuahua mix (13lbs) and a 16 year old dog who just sleeps all day (25 +/- lbs) and one cat.

  • My turn signal is clicking?

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy and recently my turn signal has been acting up. It's not the turn signal itself but whenever the car is on, my car is constantly "clicking".

The only times that it does not do it is when my foot is on the brake pedal. I have tried turning the actual signal on and off but it still doesn't stop. My actual turn signal is not on whenever it clicks and neither is the green arrows.

Today I also turned on my car and the emergency blinker button started smoking. Not alot but enough to notice. It smelled like burning plastic.

The clicking has been going on for about a week and is always a steady "click.."click.."...

    What should I do?

I am clueless about cars and I'm sorry if I sound like an idiot but I just have no idea. I can give you more info if you would like too.

    Thank you!

  • Is there a company that sells clothes for 3 legged dogs?

I recently adopted a 3lb female Chihuahua who had been hit by a car and had her leg amputated.

Due to the angle of her stitches that were sewn, they busted open (this was supposed to happen the vet said) and now she has just a wound on her side.

The vet said that she would probably benefit from wearing some type of clothing so she wouldn't lick the site and to prevent infection as well as keep her warm.

I have looked EVERYWHERE and can't find a company online that sells clothes for 3 legged dogs, much less XXS small ones.

Do you have any idea of a company that does this?

    Thank you!

  • Feline Herpes help!!?

So, I work at a local humane sociey and I have taken home a kitten who we thought just had Conjunctivitis. He has slowly started sneezing, wheezing and coughing and is on medicine and I thought he probably has feline herpes but I wasn't for sure how long that lasts.

Right now he takes Lysine once a day, he gets a Baytril injection twice a day, on metacam for pain and swelling and vetropolycin for his eye.

His eye seems to be doing better as well as his cough but I was just wondering if the herpes actually ever goes away?

  • What is a "floating pacemaker"?

Ok, so a couple of hours ago I asked this question and got really rude responses. I just asked it like that because I didn't want to explain everything but I guess I will. I recently acquired a toy poodle because my friend works at a doggy daycare and the people couldn't take care of her anymore and the owner of the daycare took her from them and now the poodle is with us. The poodle, Bitsy, originally came from our humane society before she got adopted to that family. At the shelter, the vet determined that she had a heart murmur and is taking medicine for it, Theophylline. Whenever my friend asked the owner of the daycare what was wrong with her (because before we didn't know she had a murmur) and she said that Bitsy had a "floating pacemaker". I don't believe that Bitsy has had any kind of surgery or anything.

I was just wondering if anyone knew what it was and if so, would you please tell me?

I don't want any rude answers, please.

  • What is a "floating pacemaker"?

A dog I recently got at the Humane Society has a "floating pacemaker". While she was there, they discovered a heart murmur. I don't really know what this is but she is on Theophylline twice a day for it. She is a toy poodle, about 5 years old and I can't really tell how much I should be exercising her. Can someone give me advice?

  • I need a laptop for college!?

My parents are about to buy me a laptop as a graduation present and I don't know where to start. I know virtually nothing about specs that are offered on a computer so I need some help.

I am going to be going to school online so a good laptop is a must. I will probably use it other than school just for the internet and to edit pictures with.

My price range is preferably around $1,000, and I just want something with good battery life, and something durable (inside and out).

I am currently looking into a Sony Vaio, the E series.

    Can you help me out?

  • Behavioral problems in my dog?

I have an almost 2 year old GSD/Pit bull mix and she has come a long way, training wise. I raised her the totally wrong way, with no socialization as a puppy and without good training. So, now I am paying the consequences. My friend and I have recently moved in together and our dogs have always gotten along fine.

The problem is, whenever another dog growls, barks or makes any kind of noise towards my dog she just goes off. She lunges at them and growls back and I know that this is probably out of fear but I just don't know what to do whenever she does this. Usually, I am just scared and grab her muzzle to shut it and make her lay down. Like I said, she is fine with my roomates dog, but not any other dogs. We have taken her to our dog park and immediately she just goes crazy and tries to attack them all.

How should I help her out?

  • My 1.5yr old dog eats her poo..?

She has recently started doing this, I think.

I just came in the back yard one day and she was eating something and it was her own, hard poop that had been there awhile.

Most days, she will be outside all day (when the sun is out, or when the weather is good) and she comes in at night. She is about 1.5 and is a boxer/vizsla mix. She eats the original science diet adult food, dry.

Can I put something in with her food to make her not eat her poop again?

  • What are some easy things to do to make a house "pop"?

My house looks a little dull and even shabby right now. I haven't moved into it yet but the last people who owned it definitely did not take care of the outside. Here is a picture: http://twitpic.com/1bgs61

The gutters on the outside are green, it looks like from algae or something. And I want to paint the fence looking thing on top.

What are just some simple things I can do to make this house worthy of bringing people over to?

Remember, I can't do alot, this is owned by my landlord.

  • What do I need to do to start a veg. garden?

I am moving out and I was interested in growing a garden considering I could grow like everything I eat.

The place I am moving to has a huge yard with lots of potential, I just don't know what to do with it! I have bought all kinds of vegetable seeds, and there is plenty of dirt, I just don't know what to do with the soil. I live in Kentucky so there's a lot of that clay soil. I am most interested in growing spinach, potatoes, tomatoes and spices. Can you help me? I also would prefer not to use chemicals.

    Thanks! ;)

  • This paint won't come off!!?

So I am moving out of my parents house and I am taking some of the furniture there. My mom is giving me my dad's desk from when he was in elementary school but she has since painted it white (originally it is just wood) and I am trying so hard to get the paint off.

She doesn't remember what kind of paint it was so, I don't either.

I tried sanding it with a power sander but that was not working except on the edges. Next I tried some kind of liquid that you brush on and the paint just can be scraped off. This really helped but I'm afraid if I continue to do so that the wood will be ruined. And the scraping scratches it up.

I am just trying to get all of the paint off without damaging the desk.

I don't know what kind of wood it is either. It is kind of pink and brown.

And also, do you have any recommendations to "finish" it with once the paint comes off?

    Thank you so much! :)
