  • Should I go out with him? i meann..he's not the most attractive guy, but.?

I have a friend, and we know each other for four years already. I know he likes me (POSITIVELY)..I like how he makes me feel special. He always helps me out, and has a conversation with me when I want to..He spoils me in a way..

The problem is I'm not sexually attracted to him..is that bad? He's not good looking..and the only reason why I even think about giving him a chance is because he is sooo nice to me..I know I sound shallow, but I can't help it.

We're Christians, and I'm afraid if I dont like him..I can't break up with him.

What do you think? Should I go out with him?

  • What more can I do to make a difference? I don't have a lot of money like some people..?

I've been going to church for almost 15 yrs; I'm 20 yrs old now. I love God's teaching & how He defines love..what it means to love your neighbors. It's so beautiful.

I'm thinking about how I can make a diff. in people's lives..I want them to see how great our God is. My friends travel all over the world to spread the gospel and help the needy in 3rd world countries.I wish I have the $ to travel, but I'm poor myself. My family doesn't have a lot of $,& I barely have enough $ to pay for gas. going to school. I don't have a lot of $ to donate either. Not to sound selfish, but I have to save $ for grad school, & it costs a lot.Sometimes, I don't have $ to tithe.

The things I can do are. to make people feel loved..Help my parents aroud the house.Make lonely folks feel welcome. Helping ppl when I see them are in touble. Give ppl advice when they ask me. Have compassion for others. Give ppl gifts, so they can feel loved. Is that enough for God to be happy w/ me?

    What can I do?

  • What should I do?

I worked at a church, and I have been noticing this guy keeps staring at me. I would stare back too, but we both just stare at each other. This has been happening over 2+ months, and he entered my place where I worked sometimes..It doesn't occur every Sunday, but each time I see him, he would be staring at me..

He enters my building also..I don't know why he goes in my place (where I work) since he doesn't have much to do there..and my job is to baby-sit a bunch of kids who are 2 years or younger. (I only work at this place on Sunday). When I look out the window, I will see him staring at me(or at my place).like he looks at the place where I work then I catch his eyes.he wouldn't turn away, but he keeps staring. I know I might mistake for him looking at other things.

Last week, I just entered my work place, and I saw him..We both looked at each other..He was talking to some parents when I entered.

    Wat should i do?

  • Should I ask again?

A few weeks ago, I asked a boy out through the telephone, and he said he's dating someone. I know he doesn't officially have a gf yet, and he was hesitant to tell me that he's going out with someone..

Ive been noticing that he checks my facebook a lot..My friends tell me..is this a sign he's interested in me?

Should I ask him out again? or is it his turn to say something?

  • Am I the only person?

Am I the only person who doesn't get along with pastor's kids?

I know many pastors' kids, and I dont like their attitudes. Most of them are materialistic and arrogant.

Dont get me wrong, I love to interact with other people. Talking to people makes me very very happy. Listening to different opinions excites me..I love socializing in general..however, I can't get along with pastors' kids..They give me prbolems for some reason..I don't like to hurt others' feelings or anything..

    I don't understand why..Anyone feels this way?

  • Why he keeps checking my..?

I told my crush that I like him last week, and now I notice that he keeps checking my facebook..I'M POSITIVELY SURE HE CHECKS MY FACEBOOK. Sorry about the cap..I just want to emphasize that..When I asked him out, he hesitated to tell me that he is dating someone, but he didn't say he has a gf though..

Before the time I confessed to him, he was a bit shy to talk to me..I had to pull all my gut to say hi to him, and we started a conversation..well, he asked me, "Who will drive me home?" I said, "my oldest sister will." and he invited me to come inside a buildingwhere the shade was (we go to the same church) and everyone else was in it..because it was sunny outside..However, I told him I had to watch over my items, so I stayed outside..

Why he keeps checking my facebook?

For some reason, I have no problem with him checking my profile...

  • why was he hesitant?

Yesterday, I asked a boy out..I asked if he could go on a date with me, and it took him a few minutes to tell me that he is dating someone..like he was very hesitant..i dont know if they are boyfriend and girlfriend yet, since he never really mention that he is dating someone..he didn't say he has a girlfriend, but he said he is dating someone...

The other day, we kept looking at each other too. he wanted to talk to me, yet he somehow was afraid or shy..so I said hi to him..then we kinda started a conversation..

  • How can I stop her?

My mom has a bad habit of talking behind my back. She tells my aunts negative stuffs about me, which bothers me very much. Today, i told her to stop gossiping about me..she went on and said, "I'm too scared of you to even gossip about you." I was like..what the hell?? I don't understand what she meant..I mean, we argue a lot, and lost most the time..I just want her to stop talking behind my back..especilally about my flaws and imperfections..It's none of her business, right? i don't talk behind her back at all..

How can I stop my mom from talking behind my back?

  • How do you diplomtically decline to answer any kind of question that you don't wish to answer?

If someone asks me a question, and I feel uncomfortable answering it, how do you politely decline to answer?

  • "Don't sweat the smallstuff"..what does the phrase truly mean?

I know what the phrase means..well, at least, i think i know. How do you measure it? For example, if I lost an important book..it means the world to me..and people say, "don't sweat the small stuff" to me..They don't understand how important..the item is to me..To them, it's a small stuff, but to me, it's not.

I guess..my question is..How do you know if a situation/thing is the small stuff?

I hope I am making some sense..

  • Should I change my major?

I will be a junior at my university in the fall of 2007. I used to want to major in sociology..I don't know why I choose this major, but I guess it's because my twin sister chose it, so I might as well follow her. However, I keep on having a second thought. I want to change my major to English or Humanity. I am scared a little. Will I delay my graduation if I change my major?

    I live in California, USA.

Should I change my major? What factors I should consider if I decide to change my major?

  • clearing their throats after I say something?

I have somewhat a soft voice, and each time I talk to some people, they always clear their throats after I say something. At first, i thought it might be a coincidence, but this happens so many times..I am familiar with the clearing throat pattern.

Why do they keep clearing their throats after I say something? anyone in the same situation as I am?

    I'm female...

  • Should I audit?

I had a great, fantastic English professor last semester, and I enjoyed his lectures every time I came to class. Therefore, I am planning to audit in his other English class (critical reasoning) in the fall. I love learning. I love English classes because I always learn something meaningful in it (I'm not an Eng. major though)The problem is..I am not sure if I should or not. This is my reason that causes the confusion..I have a crush on him, but he has a wife, so I won't do anything to ruin their relationship. I know this "crush" feeling will fade away. I guess it's called "lust." I feel as if this feeling will stop me from auditing. I WANT TO LEARN MORE FROM HIM. He is a smart guy. He knows his materials well..not like some other professors of mine.

Should I audit?? What if he thinks I audit in his class with a reason that I like him? Why do I feel this way?

I really want to listen to his excellent lectures...

  • Can being thoughtful.. bad?

I am a thoughtful person. I think before I speak or write anything.

Sometimes, people think I am stupid or dumb because I answer a question slowly. The truth is..I ponder over the question..I want to see the big picture.

Yesterday, my sister asked me, "Did you forget anything in Dan's car?" ...I think about what she said to make sure..if I don't forget anything..It took me a few seconds to answer her...She complained that I think too much, and the question should be answered immediately, no need to think too much.

Do you think being thoughtful..like I did..is stupid? When should I stop being thoughtul?

  • What is this person saying?

    I asked a person:

What do you think of the people who try to hurt you emotionally?

For example, they try to make you feel bad and embarrassed.

He answered: In hell its a way for them to feel good about themselves . . . The best way to serve there is to keep them from hurting you. The second best way to help them out is to point out that they are the source of their own pain.

What does he mean by "they are the source of their own pain"?
