  • Why dose the moon rise and lower like the sun does during summer, fall, winter and spring?

I am creating an image of the earth, moon, sun and solar system in my mind like a movie. From north,(above the sun) I see earth spining counter clockwise. It is also traveling around the sun counter clockwise. But the moon always looks the same. I see a wolf with its head facing right. So I know the same surface faces us all the time and it doesn't rotate like a clock. But why does it rise and fall like the sun does from summer to winter. Why doesn't it turn with our equator instead of being aligned with all of the other planets, and why doesn't it turn like a clock? Does magnetism keep the wolf facing right?

  • If one revolution of the Earth is twenty four hours why isn't noon in the summer midnight in the winter?

Think about it if we are pointed at the sun at noon mid summer why aren't we pointed away from the sun at noon mid winter. Or is one revolution of the earth slightly longer than 24 hours or one day?

It seems to me that one revolution would actually be 24 hours 3 minutes and 56.55 seconds.
