I am trying to decide on which car to purchase.

Preowned 2009 Porsche Cayman S (32720 miles) or New 2012/13 Mercedes Benz C350 Coupe

Which would you choose and why? This would be my daily driver as I am not planning on taking this car to the track or anything like that. I would like something that is a head turner (stylish), while being fun and reliable to drive.

My job is relocating to Fort Mill, SC, and I am looking for a nice apartment around that area (Fort Mill/Tega Cay/Rock Hill etc) OR a nice apartment on Lake Wylie (lake view or lakefront). I am looking for a place that...

1.) Has a low crime rate/history

2.) Has mostly young professionals (22-28 yr olds)

3.) Is a great location for shopping and nightlife

4.) 2-3 Bedroom,1.5-3 bath.

5.) $1200/month or lower

Anyone have any suggestions for neighborhoods that fit the above? Thanks in advance!

My ex-girlfriend broke up with me on Valentines Day because after she cheated on me with her ex, she backwards rationalized her decision to cheat was due to the fact that her interest in me was waning/that we were not compatible. In the last four days, her mom has been calling me and finally left a voicemail today saying she was sorry about the breakup. Apparently my ex was very excited a few days before Valentines: she bought a card, chocolates, and a teddy bear for me. It confused her then only a few days later that we broke up. Further, her daughter won't talk to her about it. Anyway, her family and mine's have been good friends for 10+ years - although her daughter and I only got serious two months ago. Her mom called to tell me that she doesn't want this break up to affect the family relationship, and that she would've liked for our relationship to work out. I don't want to burn any bridges with my ex-girlfriend's family- they really are great friends, but I also don't want to get back with my ex after what she did to me. In addition, I don't feel like being friends with her daughter either- what she did I have no tolerance for. Should I call her mom back? What should I say?

With Black Friday 2011 coming up, I'm looking for a $400 laptop with these specs:

-Must weigh less than 5 lbs.

-Good resolution LCD/LED screen

-Good camera and built in microphone

-Good wireless receiver

This laptop will primarily be used for video chatting (Skype), microsoft word/excel/powerpoint, and surfing the web. Will not be playing any games on this computer, however will possibly be watching dvds or streaming youtube. I would also expect it to have a video out to connect to an external monitor or an HDTV.

What is the best $400 laptop for the above?

I play primarily blues/jazz music and prefer the SRV/John Mayer tone. I'm currently looking for a really clean tube amp with these characteristics:

- Beautiful cleans throughout the volume spectrum and when cranked has just a little bit of distortion

- I can play in my room to practice without disturbing neighbors.

- I can gig with at a small club (trio setting with bass and drums)

- Handles pedals well

- Has gorgeous reverb

- Has beautiful vibrato (preferred, but not required)

- Preferably a single channel, however it can be a two channel amp.

- Also preferably a head, and not a combo.

Anyone using an amp like this? Money is not an issue. Thanks!

Here's what I want:

1.) An amp that sounds GREAT at bedroom levels

2.) An amp that sounds GREAT at the local bar open mic (can hold it's own when playing with a bass guitar and drums)

3.) Blues tone similar to SRV/John Mayer/Jimi Hendrix

4.) GREAT cleans (reverb) that I hook up a TS-808 and still sound GREAT

Other: Looping feature and a headphone jack.

Note: I will be playing a Fender JM Signature Stratocaster with this amp.

So I am torn between these two amps. I play the Fender JM Sig and play a lot of blues/pop music. I'm looking for a nice amp in the <$1500 range. Which amp do you think will work better for that kind of music? Any other amp suggestions?

so i let my brother drive my car, and he's a pretty safe driver, however he got caught doing 69 mph on a 55 mph in north carolina. i understand that he will have to pay a fine/get points on his license. will the insurance on my car be affected? my brother is actually not listed as one of the drivers in the insurance (my mom and i are listed as the main drivers- both of which have never gotten a ticket/motor offense).

I'm a computer engineer that graduated from university in Spring 2009 in the US. I've been unemployed for almost a year now thanks to the economy and my slightly less than average graduating GPA. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of entry level computer jobs out there today that I'm applying to. It's just that none of them give me an offer past a job interview. I must be doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what. Anyway, for anyone who is in a similar boat/experience/field know what I should do if I don't get a job soon? I've been thinking of either going back to school to get my masters in CPE or work in a minimum wage job and just try to keep applying. Or is there a better alternative? What's the next step so I can get my career started?
