6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoWhat should I(female) wear to a black tie event /evening summer ball?
Have been told its a summer ball in the evening and men are to wear black tie and women posh dress. However I still dont know what to wear as its a summer ball at a house. I have no clue on colours, whether to go formal all the way and go for a chiffon/satin/silk, ball gown/prom type dress or a layered, floaty, long, strappy, pastel number as its a summer evening.
All I know is that I would prefer something long and nice sparkly shoes/strappy heels. The above main dress bit I need help on. Any suggestions or advice and links or photos to show me what you suggest would be great. If its any help I am a petite size 10 so heels are a must!
6 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoBest method to plant bare root conifers?
Bought online, good stock of young bare root lawsons cypress conifers. what is the best preparation and planting for these as I am planting a hedge screen at the bottom of the garden. I have never planted bare root conifers so small before they are about 30-50cm high so want to know care specifically for them in their state.
Don't worry garden is long and backs onto a field so no light or view disputes. I just want them to shoot up healthy and bushy.
The soil around is poor clay soil. I have so far put the conifers to soak in a bucket of water. I have dug holes and filled with compost and bonemeal mix.
What else am I missing out?

I was harvesting my onions and without thinking I cut off the green stalks before checking to see if I should leave them on until the onion has dried out. Will they be ok to use over the next few weeks still? or have I ruined them and made them rot faster?
