  • Which Ninja 250R is the better deal?

    Which is the better deal - 2008 Ninja250R 9,xxx miles for $2700 OR 2010 Ninja250R 1,500 miles for $3350?

My friend is selling her 2008 Ninja 250R for $2700 (she may take $2500) but it has 9,XXX miles on it already which I'm thinking I may have to buy new tires with that many miles.

On the other hand, I found a 2010 Ninja 250R on craigslist with 1,500 miles and an upgraded sprocket, for $3350.

I would not buy either bike until I have looked them both over carefully and I would bring my dad who is a mechanic and has riden motorcycles for years.

Any input would be appreciated! :)

  • What are some commercial products that relate to the blood?

I am doing a project for Medical Terminology and I need to list and describe 5 "commercial" products associated with the blood system. I already have Coumadin, blood glucose tester for diabetes, blood pressure machines, epinephrine (Epipens), and I can't think of a 5th product that relates directly to blood. Can anyone help please? =]

Would antihistamines be considered a commercial product that relates to blood since histamine is released in the blood??

  • What is a good way to invest a $1000?

I received a $1000 dollar scholarship from a local club. Instead of sending it to the college I am going to attend like they usually do, they sent me a check. Now, I am looking for a way to make a little off of it. I want something that pays good interest, but I don't want to tie it up in something with little liquidity. I would like to be able to access my money when possible or at least not have it tied up for more than 6 months to a year. I might combine it with another $1000 I have in my personal savings, but I'm not sure yet.

Which banks pay higher interest on savings? Should I look into a CD?

I'm not interested in anything that is high risk or a get rich quick scheme: just something with decent interest and relatively low risk.

I have heard mutual funds are rewarding, and you don't have too much risk with every fund. Which fund should I go with if I ultimately start a mutual fund? I know aggressive growth and growth funds are a little risky, so maybe something with less?!

  • What are some good cars out there right now? Anybody have firsthand experience?

I am looking to buy a car for less than $20k.

    It needs to:

    -be easy on the eyes

    -have good highway gas mileage

    -drive pretty well

I've been looking into the 08 Scion tC and the 08 Toyota Corolla.

What about the Toyota Yaris S Sedan?

It's not too easy on the eyes but I think I could get used to it!

    I'm open to any suggestions.

I need it for commuting purposes and I do like things a little sporty, but I can sacrifice some performance for function.

  • Could a hormone imbalance cause lesser physical attraction to women?

I pretty sure I'm not gay... but I just was wondering why I don't have these super strong urges for women. Most of my friends are like ooh she's hot... and I don't have that kind of instant attraction. Is something wrong with me? Could it be a hormone imbalance?

  • Why argue over religion and God? Atheism vs. Christianity?

Why argue over religion - especially between atheists and Christians.

Atheists- If you are a TRUE atheist, then you believe there is no God... therefore trying to argue the existence of no God at all would just be a waste of your time right? Why even acknowledge it if you don't believe in it?

Christians- If you are a TRUE Christian, you wouldn't argue over the existence of a God because you KNOW there is one. Why acknowledge an argument stemming from someone who does not believe. It's a waste of your time.

SO much bitterness comes from these arguments of who is right and who is wrong. If you believe in something, sure you might feel compelled to defend it, but why argue with someone who is going to denounce it completely? Why not tell someone else who isn't sure in what to believe? That would be time better spent.
