I heard and read over time that it is ok to begin to withdraw from retirement funds, 401k , as an example, at 59.5 years of age. Is that still true? Can you use that to use as a down payment on a property? Are there limits to how much you can withdraw? Is the withdrawal penalized/taxed?

It has been a while since I have seen it happen, but I have seen it happen. I have seen a team not only change the pitcher, but also the catcher. Occurs later in the game, too. Why?

I am doing my taxes for year 2018. Doing HR Block Deluxe. A question asks "Did I own my home when the tax was assessed"? I do pay a mortgage, but I don't yet own the home. Do I answer yes or no. No means I get no credit. Thanks.

If I owe a large medical bill and I am slow in paying, can the collection agency put a lien on my old cars? I own the car. State of IL. Car is worth 5000. My other car is worth 4000.

I have a mortgage on a condo which is still underwater. But soon the mortgage balance will equal the property value. When my son applied for a loan from a private college recently, they agreed to pay for all but 5k. Next year when he applies again, I am sure I will have some equity in the condo. He will be a freshman this fall. He will have to apply yearly and show my tax records. Question, at what point, if the college will ever at all, want me to take out a second mortgage on the equity in the condo? The condo is worth about 100k.

Is there a strict policy at Wells Fargo - Chicago area- that a bankruptcy, no matter how long ago, will result in employment denial and/or termination after hire? My bankruptcy is no longer on my credit report, as it happened 20 years ago. But a google of my name brings up the public record website that shows the bankruptcy. I have been offered the job, and have been fingerprinted, and had the I9 email from Wells, as well as have been given my start date. I have had outstanding credit for fifteen years. It is a corporate position that deals with financing, not retail. I have not started the job, but am concerned that I may not get to start, or after starting, that they will let me go. I told my future boss about the bankruptcy and received a comment that Wells HR must run the background, no more information provided to me.

When did we have to send a Fed 1040 along with the state to the state?

I picked up several shirts at the Goodwill. At different times. They are dress shirts for men. Patterned and different colored, as well as colored solids. But they all have a brown / gray type color button. I noticed after viewing shirts on the internet that most button down shirts have white or same color of material buttons. So by chance does the Goodwill staff replace buttons on shirts after they are dropped off by donors?

I received unemployment the second half of 2013 and maybe one or two checks in the beginning of 2104 but I do not recall. I have not received anything from the gov't to do my 2014 taxes as of yet. If I did have some unemployment compensation in 2014 when will I receive a statement from the gov't as January has come and gone and it is now Feb 2015? Or do I need ton contact the unemployment office?

175k miles and runs great, full power. Fair to good body condition.
